Talk about missing the point , no avoiding the point for political reasons, Bolt simply ignores the fact that it wasn't a production problem it was a distribution, a transmission problem. SA had 2800 MW in storage . 2,800 MW that couldn't be delivered because 22 transmission towers were brought down by the storm yes an unprecedented storm. Bolt purposely avoids mentioning any of this why?

1)Because SA Meteorological Bureau scientists, are incompetant. 2) Because 22 towers just fell over a quantity which he doesn't even mention. Because despite the towers falling over according to Bolt power could be delivered. There is no mention of stored back of power is there! How much can Bolt avoid to talk about ? The answer ; as much as it takes! Because all his job is to produce doubt not investigate the truth.

Bolt is flipper and not he dolphin. Yesterday it was all about Abbott and his loyalty denying media reports that he said he had a reasonable chance of a comeback. Today the fact that he  denied it it proves he does have a chance. Has anyone else but Abbott said anything here? Other than Bolt of course. It's a bit of a set up isn't it. Like that Murdoch photo shoot where News Corp announced Abbott was invited to Atlanta by all of America's leaders when he wasn't. Murdoch took him for a photo shoot with the News Corp photographers present to create the illusion of Tony the Statesman being missed. Here we have Bolt doing a running commentary on an event beat up by a media suggestion of what was rumored to have been said then denied and believed by Bolt yesterday but flipped today.  That Tony having denied what he said has everyone shaking.  Conclusion Bolt is creating media BS before our eyes. Whose quaking we don't know!

He needs Rowan the unmade bed Dean for his tawdry little  show.  Sam Newman just might become a regular too for obvious reasons.

Brandis won't get anyhelp from Bolt who just sees him as just another Abbott traitor. Since his appointment Brandis has a history of having put his foot in his mouth. He tends to keep a very low profile and we came to know why very early in the piece. There was a matter of a bookcase way back when....

 How interesting Greg Sheridan comparing SA with Greece. When Greece asked for help it was turned down by the banks and refused a bail out. Now those successful economic geniuses  in particular  Deutsch Bank the biggest and then the hardest is begging for a bail out and Merkle is saying no! So will the bank threaten a 'bail in' rather than asking the taxpayers will they just steal their client's money?

SA is not in trouble for any other reason than they were the manufacturing state most effected by globalization. When asking for help Abbott said stuff you and dismantled the Auto Industry and all the other small bussiness that entailed. The conservatives do what comes naturally they create the victim and then blame the victim for the situation. Just as the banks created the debt in Greece lending and selling junk bonds to the government and then blaming Greece for being suckers.
