3m The celebration of Australia's history isn't just a celebration of Australia's Colonial past. The full story is deserved and ought to be told warts and all. Mythologising the past will never be given the respect Australians deserve and it merely reduces us. A Hollywood history as envisioned by Conservatives like Bolt actually shames us. The Netherlands followed a Bolt style history post WW2 making out the nation was anti-Nazi and heroes who protected Jews when that lie was put to bed in the 1980s by the Jews themselves. The Netherlands shamed themselves by not facing up to the reality of their own holocaust past. Bolt is leading Australia down that same deluded path. You don't and can't face up to your future without knowing and constantly reexamining your past and Conservatives fail in every way to acknowledge that.
7m Of course, Milne must go but so must the LNP who were complicit in the interference of the ABC an Independent body. Their interference was boosted by the publicity and lobbying provided by the voices of Murdoch and Fairfax like never before. Now the LNP a participant in the concerted effort to kill our most trusted broadcaster is to be investigated by the assassins themselves. Just as they cried that the banks were able to self-report and no Royal Commission was needed they too are repeating that and applying to themselves and saying "trust" us. Simply said this embarrassment has flagged the use-by date of Milne for everyone as much for the opaque and usual suspects the IPA Fairfax and Murdoch cabal who were the boosters of government action and gave them the confidence to destroy the ABC by a thousand cuts. Bolt's call for Milne's head is simply saying he's of no use to them anymore either the Judas ram needs changing he's done the dirty work but over-reached.
33m Bolt makes a very long-winded post to scam his readers that he has the evidence that all this was Malcolm Turnbull's doing. However, if read it's totally a scam to take the heat of Murdoch and the IPA's involvement in this war on the ABC promised them by Tony Abbott if he won government. Remember his "no cut's to the ABC" and the $200 mill "efficiency adjustment" Turnbull needed to keep Murdoch onside and provided another $ 80 mill cut and gave Murdoch $30 mill refusing to say what it was for. No, it doesn't wash Andrew Bolt this killing of the ABC wasn't Turnbull's doing. It began with Murdoch buying Tony Abbott's promise to neuter the ABC by cutting funding making it run on a 1984 budget the equivalent of which they were forced to operate with in 2018. As I said Bolt's feeble attempt is long-winded only because he puts Turnbull's name into incidents where it doesn't belong why? Simply because he's whitewashing and rinsing the hands of the real conspirators pushing for the death of the ABC. Bolt called for the "sacking" of Alberici and Probyn we know that however, Bolt hasn't shown that Turnbull did. So sackings were a Murdoch's orchestrated response and always have been more than just an opinion on ABC errors. Don't let Bolt blow smoke in your eyes. " But in each instance, if accurately recorded, Milne acted in exactly the wrong way. He tackled bias not because it was a breach of the ABC Charter but because that particular bias had angered his good friend, patron and former business partner, the vindictive Prime Minister."Bolt

27m Andrew Bolt has told us Turnbull was the culprit that has caused the firestorm at the ABC without any concrete evidence and despite the denials of Milne and Turnbull and plenty of evidence that the only conspiracy that existed was the one between News Corp the IPA and Tony Abbott. The ground for that conspiracy was laid well before the LNP formed the Abbott Government on the promise of "no cuts to the ABC". We know how long that promise lasted. Further castration of the ABC will come to a halt unless the Morrison Government wants to commit electoral suicide. However what won't stop will be the Murdoch attacks on Australia's most trusted MSM source. Even if the Board chose to step down Morrison would be walking on eggshells to interfere with its replacement. It's embarrassing enough that he's inquiring about his own government's interference with the ABC. Will he mention the relationship in concert between the IPA, News Corp and the Abbott legacy of broken promises, budgetary castration and the neutering of the ABC? On Monday, 24 September, Michelle Guthrie was sacked, raising eyebrows for three reasons:
it is unprecedented for an ABC board to sack its managing director — the closest a board has ever come was Jonathan Shier in 2002, who resigned halfway through his term;
the axing came hard on the heels of Malcolm Turnbull’s untidy political execution;
News Corp was given news of the sacking even before ABC staff had been notified.
There are clearly defined complaints processes for the ABC, including from the Government, which should make its complaints at arm’s length, through the broadcasting regulator, ACMA. As with its Board appointments, the Government has circumvented this official process dozens of times since the 2017 election, with Turnbull and Communications Minister Mitch Fifield writing numerous letters of complaint to Michelle Guthrie and other ABC executives. Fairfax Media also reported that Mr Turnbull informally complained about Andrew Probyn’s “anti-Government bias” to Ms Guthrie at a pre-match function before last year’s AFL grand final.
Bolt calls for the whole board to resign in particular it seems the staff elected rep as if it was her fault. Maybe it would be opportune for him to go on strike until they do. That would satisfy 99% of viewing and voting Australia.

However, there is no mention by Andrew Bolt that Ford actually sat and passed the polygraph test nor the fact that Kavanaugh's witnesses didn't even volunteer to have one and nor has BK who Bolt simply says "deserves" to be seen as innocent, why? What is clear Trump doesn't want and never has wanted an investigation into his nominee why? Even more, Bolt doesn't "deserve" to be believed given his track record and the News Corp's. That Murdoch Papers and Fox News have simply been on a whack-a-mole smear campaign against anyone challenging the Trumpian nominee. Why is it that since Trump was elected have we seen such a sexist assault on women depicting them as gold-digging liars? Why isn't there a flood of defamation actions being run? " if Kavanaugh's nomination is withdrawn, it will be in part because in defending himself he painted a picture of a youthful paragon of virtue, someone who may have had a drink or two now and then but "always treated women with dignity and respect" and was more concerned with church and homework than partying, when the pile of evidence to the contrary keeps growing and growing."
