Worst ever immigration minister: Asylum seekers jet in under Dutton's nose

Leaked notes from Defence revealed it was forced to reduce counter-terrorism ocean patrols with the Philippines, cancel a martitime operation with Pacific neighbours and cancel an air surveillance exercise with Indonesia because it had to pick up the slack left by an underfunded Border Force, which had 20 per cent fewer sea-going personnel than it neede
But the real border control issue today is the record number of asylum seekers, mostly non-genuine, entering as tourists right under Dutton’s nose. He has serious questions to answer on this.
People arriving on visitor visas and changing their status onshore constituted an astonishing 24 per cent of net migration in 2017-18 – the mark of a visa system out of control.
But most unforgivable is Dutton’s vilification of certain migrant communities and his dog-whistling on citizenship laws. More recently, he has followed up with appalling comments on sick asylum seekers from Manus and Nauru taking places of Australians on hospital waiting lists. No previous immigration minister has ever stooped so low.

Morrison government backs down on banning Milo Yiannopoulos in face of backlash

Abbott flipped, Coleman's flipped, Morrison flipped the panic is unbelievable (ODT)

Unbelieveable just how gutless this government is. Yiannopoulos Came fled the country witha pocket ful of cash abd an unpaid invoice for $56,000 and and they are invinting him in to do it again. Why Australia because we have a government of suckers logged into and working for Murdoch media. This isn't about free speech its'about fraud. (ODT)
The initial push to reject the visa was met with a furious response from pro-free speech Coalition MPs, One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, and some media commentators including Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
"Of course this is a backdown," Bolt said Saturday.

Bolt calls them "advocates' the unnamed couple of conservatives the media at Newscorp forced to have Coleman change his mind. Let's guess who among the Liberals it might have been Peter Dutton his boss and Tony Abbott who promised to get rid of the ABC. At this point in time my guess there was only one Dutton. It certainly hasn't done anything for Coleman has it. Bolt still tearing strips off him.  How is it a fraudster we all know can so easily jump the queue to be allowed intake Aussie money not pay his bills or tax and skip so quickly merely because of Sky News and One Nation demand it? Did Pauline threaten Dutton with her preferences? We seem to be becoming more American every day. An election is nearing, and they need Sky onside as much as Trump needs Fox

FROM THEIR GRUNTING AND HOOTING I CAN TELL THEY ARE CROSS

Junkee is a trash news site peopled by abusive mob moralists without the language skills to express their anger: "A number of prominent conservatives including Andrew Bolt and John Howard have caused outraged by defended the cardinal’s character and expressed their doubt about the verdict." Three redundant words and three more with an errant "-ed".

What's a trash news site without language skills more so than Andrew Bolt's Blog? Bolt is the last person to be an English instructor. His greatest use ought to have been in schools. Read for exercises in spelling, critical and precise thinking. All of which, if presented for a VCE assessment, would fail. One has some insight reading Andrew Bolt why simplistic raving made him the only one among his siblings or his family not to have made it through any University degree. Needless to say, that irks Bolt but doesn't stop him saying otherwise on his CV.

BURNSIDE PUNISHES HIS SAVAGE SELF FOR BEING GREEN

Julian Burnside is already being punished for joining the authoritarian Greens, having to quit the men-only Savage Club he's happily enjoyed for 40 years. The only thing spoiling my pleasure is that this comes after a Liberal, Senator Jane Hume, badgered him as if such a club was a sin. But Burnside talking down to a woman was yet more hypocrisy.

The men only clubs are the root of Liberal Party Culture and Liberal Party Culture as we see today is regarded a sin even by the Party today parachuting women into positions as fast as they bloody well can to deny it before the forthcoming election. Does Bolt Bolt believe the voters will buy it and not see it as hypocrisy rather than Burnside leaving a club in which we do or don't know he was an active member? The amusing thing is Bolt would or maybe is a member of these sort of clubs himself as he hardly feels welcome on the streets of his own city. I think even on that score he's bragging he has such poor ratings nobody would recognise him for anything other than his paranoia.

A Think Twice Warringah poster featuring one of the Abbott quotes that so irk his opponents.

  Is Tony Abbott's time up?

Backflip will Andrew Bolt comment? Will he declare this a backflip? That's what it is. (ODT)

Independents
In Warringah, they are known unofficially as the ABBA (Any Bastard But Abbott) alliance and  COAAG – the Coalition of Anti-Abbott Groups.
If Independents are of any real value, it's their preferences, and if as many Liberals are as pissed off with him and see him for the flipper and broken promise merchant he is, then it just could well be bye bye, Tony.
