FOUR MEN FREED FROM JAIL. THIS FRENZY WENT TOO FAR
It wasn't just George Pell. Trevor Spurritt last week became the fourth in four years to be freed after being unfairly jailed for allegedly raping boys. Add a fifth man freed on appeal - Archbishop Philip Wilson - and it seems we're too quick to treat allegations as fact.
Not for one moment does Bolt argue for the numbers of Indigenous Australians Jailed. The number whose, reputations have been damaged because of systemic White Racism or more to the point the injustice of White Supremacy that's been culturally and structurally inherent in our social system since the 18th Centurty. No Bolt doesn't even begin address the numbers women raped and disbelieved or not come forward in cases of domestic violence. Too afraid because of the systemic gender bias in our misogynist social structures. Where does Andrew Bolt's focus lie instead? To what doe he want us to pay attention to? Not the systemic but hidden victimization and sexual molestation of children but the possibility that when men have been charged and accused there just may have been some mistakes made. But even worse when found not guilty the reputational stain never goes away.
However numbers Bolt points to don't symbolize a "trend" in mistakes made. 4 in 4 years isn't quite the tsunami Bolt seems to think it is. No concern on his part for indigenous youth. Certainly not in the trend in numbers of exploited children by upperclass men in our social "pecking order". Pell, Spurritt and 2 others. 4 in 4 years is an avalanche of misjustice according to Bolt. It's obvious he has no concern for the number of children molested and hidden from sight. Bolt's is the public voice that enables this exploitation and stifles accusation.
Why one wonders is Bolt doing this? Why is he focusing on what he calls the bogus injustice being done to men of otherwise good repute but not the injustice being done to those he happily slags off? The real imbalance in our justice system isn't to the upper-class that gets away with crimes the lower orders don't. Is it because Andrew Bolt feels he was once an upper pecking order martyr falsely accused and found guilty by our courts? Does he feel he can no longer whinge because he's not listened to any longer and even Murdoch management aren't interested in listening? It does seem personal that's for sure. That Andrew Bolt feels he too has been brutally misjudged that he's too now is unfairly stained but still a warrior for the defence of a systemically victimised upper-class? No Andrew Bolt really only does things for Andrew Bolt.
JUST THIS MUCH WARMING? SOMEONE’S GOING TO GET HURT
The latest data on the world's temperature is a surprise. Didn't Greta Thunberg claim the warming was so much that we faced "mass extinctions"? But the bad news is that saying what the temperature actually was last month is just cruising for a bruising.
Bolt doesn't mention that 2020 was the the third hottest year ever recorded. The trend has been the hottest in fact for the past 12,000 years. Nor does he mention that the the tropics are expanding both North and South. If climate keeps trending the way it's a reasonable prediction. Bolt on the other hand kept telling us the planet was cooling. Who is the world listening to? It's certainly not Andrew Bolt. Has the planet experienced increased extreme weather conditions? Yes! Does Bolt suggest scientific method to be no better than religion? Yes! Has Climate Change increased the rate of mass extinctions of a variety of species? Yes! On the planet? Yes! In Australia? Yes! Bolt obviousl doesn't kno the meaning of "trends", "statistics" or probabilities. However what is significant is Bolt still relies on Roy Spencer for his information. Why is it he doesn't acknowledge that? Guess he wants us to believe he's studious researcher of climate. Spencer relies on satellite data

I've said many journalists would rather be wrong in company than be right on their own. The mocking of Craig Kelly is a perfect case. If the worlds biggest research studies have shown HCQ is a non efficacious treatment should we disregard our Australian health experts and adopt Indian advice instead. Is it even official? Bolt or Kelly don't say. Trump managed to fuck the CDC in the US he prevented the Health Scientists from even publicly publishing their findings without going through him first or his appointee Dr Atlas or Redfield first both unqualified for the job at hand. Superspreader Atlas finally resigned after showing just how incompetent he was. The US is facing 500,000 deaths and LA 1 in 3 people are now infected and Bolt and Kelly somehow hold them these places up as the gold standard, because they use HCQ. Andrew Bolt calls other journalists purveyors of "fake news?
Kelly has a track record in politics even worse than Andrew Bolt's is in the media. However, he's never been convicted as or threatened by our courts as many times as Andrew Bolt has . Bolt models himself on Fox News. Lou Dobbs has now been dumped and it has been regarded as a good business decision. Kelly it seems is about to be dumped by his electorate of Hughes which thinks that's a great political decision. Guess they aren't Bolt subscribers or taking HCQ then.
