Only a pedant might pause to point out, to the uninitiated, that in the terminology the Coalition uses about the Labor government, that that would be the "Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison government" he was talking about.
On Thursday, the bloke actually heading the Abbott-Turnbull-Morrison government, Prime Minister Scott Morrison, was choosing to remember the legacy of the founder of the Liberal Party, Sir Robert Menzies, in a speech in Albury.
Let's go back to 2009, and the events that led to Mr. Abbott becoming prime minister after winning the leadership from Mr. Turnbull by one vote, much to the shock of his own colleagues, after a stumblebum run at the job by Joe Hockey.
The Sydney Morning Herald's Peter Hartcher reported at the time how the man "who had masterminded the coup to destroy Malcolm Turnbull was Nick Minchin; the godfather of the Liberals' conservative wing" had walked across the party room to a shocked Joe Hockey and said, "if I'd known how it was going to go, I would have slung you another 10 votes".
Hartcher noted that "Minchin had not expected Abbott to win. Nobody had expected Abbott to win. Not even Abbott. Contrary to widespread impressions in the media, Minchin did not even want Abbott to win".

Apparently, people in the Liberal Party have a problem with counting numbers.
And here is just one fact you may have forgotten from 2009 that is worth remembering.

Tony Abbott declared the age of assassins is over and declared party unity Andrew Bolt clearly understood it was just another Abbott lie and the Liberal Party is truly fucked unless it does what Abbott says. The very tweet above by Abbott saying
"his government is getting better" is a delusion. What he feels it's his party and if he can't have it he's going to break it. The Menzies party believed the essence of Liberal party values was the Separation of Powers of Religion, Race and the Judiciary which isn't in line with Abbott at all.
The conservatives demand the Protection of Religion well they have an avenue of complaint either under our vilification laws or a change in our constitution and the addition of a Bill of Human Rights and they want neither to apply. Religions are free to establish their own schools but don't have the right to protection to bully in government schools. It seems that Bolt's notion of protection runs counter to the very essence of the values of Menzies and even Howards Liberal Party and their meaning of our Democracy. How often been heard to demand Australia be constitutionally declared a Christian country as Israel has done declaring itself a Jewish state. Conservatives see as urgent the teaching of and only of Western values in government schools and a degree granted at tertiary level.
Nigel Farage has just warned Conservatives no to make a feast of the idea of a Civilisations war and said in plain terms it's a war conservatives can't win.
The reason Bolt and conservatives want Immigration and Climate their central piece at the next election is they botched everything else up by the time Turnbull had his. Banks, Super, Ins, NBN Education, ABC, Wages, Children in Custody, Health etc have all suffered at their hands and the deficit has doubled. Politics and the media can unite to try to divide Multicultural Australia and its diverse landscape. We saw it in Cronulla in 2005 using that diversity to portray and create division. Morrison was the one who wanted to continue to use it for political gain and was refused. Now they want to make it a centerpiece of the next election and restart Team Australia. It's the very thing Nigel Farage has warned them against because they don't have faith in just the politics of numbers.
However the fact, it's been the Abbott/Turnbull/Morrison government that's done nothing for the past 5 years in doing anything about our infrastructure needs, in fact, they have held the Labor States to ransom with their nope nope nope on funding.
Climate Change, well logic dictates politics and the Liberal Government have been a totally wasted government, MIA on the issues of infrastructure and cheap power. They sold off our utilities and now want to reverse that folly both for no planned reason other than politics. Still with no plan on how to do it other than a continued nope nope nope even when the biggest producers are begging for a plan..
Didn't they all just vote ye to Frydenberg's plan and the conservatives have again stepped in saying nope nope nope with their attempted failed coup?

Bolt needs bullying room and a safe space from which to do it he certainly hates the idea of safe schools, as much as safe festivals. Hardy is seen in public strange isn't it Bolt's not.

Bolt promoted Nige Farage, Southern, Molyneux, Milo etc but doesn't seem to care to even debate protestors on his show The Bolt Report. When there is no debate or avenue for one, protest seems a reasonable avenue to being heard and it is that right in a Democracy that Bolt's complaining about and wants to be closed down, very Fascist of him.

Debate requires a common language Bolt hasn't got one when he claims he's more "Indigenous" than most Indigenous Australians like Adam Goodes and Stan Grant for instance simply because he's 60 and older. He does the same with this descriptive and oxymoron "the Fascist Left" Linguistically, Historically and Contextually there is no "Fascist Left" unless of course, he's referring to those famous Left wingers Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, and Pinochet. As for who is it that calls the police for security well it's the showmen who aren't public speaking for free but the $1. Universities for Conservatives ought not to be the "study" of ideas which are of course designed to question all ideas the product of mankind alternative perspectives backed by social facts and history. These are the real disciplines of Humanities and the Social Sciences which Bolt wants to be shut down. Universities aren't for studying but training area's that Bolt wouldn't allow if they demanded change. Climate Science as far as Bolt is concerned should be banned as should Sociology as heretical religions. The universities aren't as Bolt makes out made up of these Liberal arts departments. In fact, there is greater leaning towards vocational training so the generalization he makes and those he turns to prove his point are false. The very reason so little debate is heard on university campuses is that students are accruing debt the longer they stay on campus and the voices generally heard that Bolt speaks of are in fact a minority. Australian campuses are filled with fee-paying students and students overburdened with debt who don't participate in what Bolt suggests. In fact, all students have in common is fear of failure, not getting a job and debt.
