Fewer Syrians and Iraqis are in fact coming across the Mediteranean. More are traveling overland. The fact is neither Bolt nor anyone in Australia can make a studied analysis better than those who are in EU and front line. These registrations still need processing.

If the Titanic were going down Bolt's call to the lifeboats would be Christians first and not anything else. It would be the end of the separation of Church and State as we know it. We would be deemed a Christian and not a Secular Democracy. Maybe Bolt and his kind would have it in the constitution. It then opens up the door to later make it a Protestant State.

Bolt the self claimed non racist non tribalist rationalist presents us at our worst. He presents the Australian Character in the worst possible way and loves it. Why not for any justifable principle but for a political side.

There are two fundamental lies here. Firstly the ALP is not against Christian refugees but recognizes as a secular state we signed and agreement asking the UN not to selectively cherry pick refugees on the basis of their faith but on need. The UN picks the most desperate cases on the basis of need. If they happens to be Christian because they are the most persecuted then Christians will be first in line. Why start making things harder for ourselves and the UN because you want the prettiest of single women or only those that speak English. It becomes a Clayton's humanitarian offer. ISIS does that.
The second lie is a simple fact check.The stats show Australia is not the most generous of countries on the planet as Abbott claimed. Why say it when it's simply not true. As an OECD member it lags in the middle of the pack. Even on Tony Abbott's statistical measures it's not top of the pack. Under the circumstances lying with statistics is morally corrupt. In fact it's reprehensible at all levels.

What a shit stirrer Andrew Bolt is. There are two separate issues here what effect bombing in Syria will have and the intake of more refugees.
1 Bombing in Syria does not guarantee the absence further civilian deaths which may or may not have consequences domestically. There is no guarantees that people wont be angered. We interned Australian Japanese and Germans during WW2. and didn't trust them as Australians As minorities they were persecuted post WW2 by good old Aussies through to the 60s. Bolt's carrying that same bigotry against other Australians only because of their faith. All for the sake of boosting Abbott's standing in ratings 45: 55
2 As for refugees and how they are chosen isn't Australia's choice we signed an International agreement. The UN selects those most in need not by Faith. If it happens that Christians, Yazidis and Mandaeans are the most persecuted then they will be at the head of the line and among the majority to come. Abbott railed against queue jumpers and now Andrew Bolt is promoting it. However if Australia is a secular nation it ought to reflect that and not have a selective refugee program as Tony Abbott is advocating. A program against the spirit of the UN that goes against the notion of universal human rights and is simply divisive. If Bolt supports that he's throwing all principles out the window. Furthermore it's simply dysfuntional UN hasn't time to cherry pick among the desperate.
The Chinese Mega- Dairies are allowed to import Chinese workers unskilled tested and without offering Australians jobs why? Don't Australians know anything about dairy products? What happened to those Australians who were incorporated into these conglomerates? Do they still have jobs? There is only one truth as far as Andrew Bolt is concerned and that's the Bolt truth. He rants against Left tribalism whatever that means. Basically it encompasses anyone that disagrees with him. Yet he supports Israel and talks of principles and not sides. How tribal is that? Obviously "do unto others as you'd want others to do unto you" is not a principle he holds nor the universal dignity of man or rights. His extreme right wing Conservative stance just ignores these principles. he sides with others that do so as well. Isn't that choosing sides.
Bolt's defense of his idiotic argument about the primary motive that caused Aylan's drowning was his need for a dentist shows and proves his pedantic need to find some sort of moral high ground by disparaging a tragedy and pretending it to be something otherwise. Bolt found his answer in the words of a grieving sister in Canada who if she said they were as poor as church mice would have had Bolt calling them economic refugees. He did so in a less than novel way saying they needed a dentist. There are dentists in Turkey Bolt. European trained dentists in Turkey who are cheaper than in Europe. To try that as a deflection really shows up your IQ and manipulation of the horror
The fact was the Kurdi family was skint had just seen their only wealth destroyed in Kobani and were persecuted as an unwanted minority in Turkey is totally ignored by Bolt and Bernardi who simply have no shame when it comes to trying to win political points. The Kurdis were a paperless family not out of choice but because they were Kurds. As such unrecognized by any sovereign state as " registered refugees". Relatives in Canada sent them money not for teeth but to get to Europe in the hope of getting to Canada.
Bolt simply can't admit that because if he does the inherent stupidity of blinkered story and argument simply falls apart. His world view as is Bernardi's is "god's will be done" for we are the chosen and shouldn't really interfere.. He argues the same with Climate Change. In fact this line of thought fuels his irrational anti-humanist conservative stance that makes him believe he's one of god's chosen, one of the elect. Bolt says he's agnostic yet when his lips move he's a zealot as much a zealot as any fundamentalist.
Coming from News Corp a commentator writing for the least trusted media corporation in the country and working along side the government is beyond a joke. Bolt who claims to be and Agnostic Humanist reveals himself for what he really isn't a sceptic or critical thinker who believes in moral relativism and the agency of mankind. Simply put he's quite the reverse a hypocrite who believes news ought be little more than Hansard like or a stenographer's report on government activity. The very opposite of the qualities he claims to favor and support.
Any responsible critical thought which is the nature of investigation and reporting of an independent media from government Bolt calls propaganda which is in fact the opposite. What Bolt calls responsible reporting for Bolt is not independant at all but simply a tool of government. That is propaganda. Questioning is the basis of being rational agnostic and humanist everything Bolt is not.
Bolt's commentary does not emerge from gathered information and facts but rather manufactured information and facts designed or created to make commentary convincing. That's propaganda.
To quote Tony Abbott he said if you want good media you need to provide good government if you don't provide good government don't expect good media.
Bolt declares he's a Conservative Agnostic which is in many ways a contradiction terms. As a conservative his
political philosophy favors tradition (in the sense of various
religious, cultural, or nationally-defined beliefs and customs) in the
face of external forces for change, and is critical of any proposals for
radical social change. However Agnostics generally believe that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God
or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither
faith nor disbelief in God. They fall among sceptics doubters and non believers which is hardly Bolt at all.
Bolt also claims to be a rationalist yet eschews scientific method as a source of knowledge claiming it to be little more than another religious faith when it comes to climate change. He also argues for moral absolutes and opposes relativism. It explains why he is so anti- multiculturalism and pro assimilation. Yet he claims to be a humanist who generally prefer critical thinking which he rails against associating it with leftist dogma. Humanists values the agency of human beings both individually and collectively over established doctrines or faiths where as argues the reverse.
He is rather an evolutionist stuck in a 19th century belief that our social fabric is like organisms inherently improving itself through inherited and progressive change over time the belief that by and large with social engineering and policing we are evolving for the better both socially and culturally. That a natural order has evolved and does exist. Bolt clearly knows what's wrong and what's right and the Pope of 2.2 billion Catholics is wrong and Tony Abbott is right. There are 9 Catholics in Cabinet. How many parishes are there in Australia?

Firstly Bolt calls this the dying of Christianity and second his maths is base on families of 5. Why for convenience or just maximization?
The fact is the majority of refugees Bolt talks of making their way leaving land farms and houses behind aren't in fact moving. There are 28 member countries in the EU that's 18,000. A number less than Australia has promised. But then again Bolt is panicking about that number which Australia has promised.
Bolt is the persistent scare monger it's why he has armed guards and disregards the following:

Bolt make little mention of the fact that Abbott's generosity is at the expense of others and over the next three years. Had the ALP done this it would have been heralded as a Clayton's offer. Bolt's logic and lies simply show him to be a kicking and screaming anti- Muslim.
The Jews were once stateless but they were nevertheless citizens with passports. However we said they deserved support if they wanted allowed to come to Australia. Post war economic refugees. Syrian Kurds are stateless also but are denied citizenship in Syria and are unable to become citizens of Turkey or Iraq. They are by no means religious fundamentalists and have no sectarian motivations. They are fighting against ISIS for themselves and us. They are allies and fight in Australia's interests yet Andrew Bolt turns his back on Kurds because they are Muslim. Of course he has an excuse that they aren't registered as or official refugees. They can't be because officially they are stateless and without passports despite being Syrian in the case of the Kurdi family. The crap Bolt writes about wanting a dentist is simply a distortion and shows he doesn't offer truth but a smokescreen.
Bolt's notion of the "invasion" of EU is a fabrication what is a logistical processing problem he calls an invasion. Running out of moral reasons to stop humanitarian aid Bolt simply turns to a numbers game and like bent cop selects countries for the sole purpose of making Australia and Abbott look generous. He could say Panama or Jamaica aren't taking refugees so aren't we great. The issue isn't about who is or isn't doing anything in this crisis it's what's needed to be done and why. Bolt always believes in going Dutch or just look after yourself. He is the man not to turn to in an emergency. However if it's his he'd demand help. He's bystander who simply spends energy justifying his moral by saying I'm not the only one or blaming others. He wouldn't piss on you if you caught fire.

China FTA was started by the ALP and was in the throes of completion when Abbott put pen to paper and claimed it as his own. It's what he tried to do when claiming Wayne Swan's success as the success of the Liberal government and calling any ALP action a failure. The misuse of 457 visas by corrupt businesses is entrenched yet the coalition is telling us it's doing well and any problems with it are Labor's.
Why are the Chinese mega dairies wanting to import Chinese labor to run them? Is it because we are unskilled in dairy farming? Is it because they need plumbers, electricians and carpenters to run them? I don't think so. It's because this goverment has bent over forwards and said do what you want.

Bolt fails to tell you the Kurdi's were a stateless family and had no
papers. They weren't citizens of any country as they were Syrian Kurds from Kobani
and had fled to Turkey to escape the ISIS takeover of their town. They were second class people in Turkey they watched along with the rest of the world their town of
Kobani destroyed some 6 months ago. They had nothing to their name but relatives in
Canada
Bolt won't
tell you that. Without passports they couldn't be officially
registered as refugees you need papers to be recognised. It was the
only thing keeping them from being accepted to Canada. They were paperless Kurds
without a country much like the Jews who however did have passports.
Bolt goes out of his way to support the Jews but with equivalent energy
denies the Syrian Kurds and calls them "illegals"

Abbott has had a moral melt down for the sake of Canning he's offered a faux increase in humanitarian aid. He's increased the intake of
Syrians not Kurds who are our allies in the war against ISIS. However the
increased intake is at the expense of others. By any other name it's really a
Clayton's increase. A humanitarian increase when you don't want a real
humanitarian increase. We won't be seeing any Rohingya here in the near
future.

Bolt's made a significant shift from telling us the planet has been cooling for 18 years to a hiatus and now it's has not risen by much. There is no dynamic in Bolt's approach to science. Global science tells us that the man made warming that has progressed since industrialisation has been slowly accelerating and will continue to do so at a greater rate unless we do something. The science is not static as Bolt presents it.

This also as a prediction is based on the fact of not doing things to allay the acceleration of warming and the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere the forward progress and acceleration of warming has commenced and is like a boulder beginning it's downhill journey. Deceleration is dependent on reducing the CO2 by taking coal and other fossil fuels out of the equation.

Bolt's non global arguments carry no weight to say the planet is not warming is a global statement yes but to say proof is that it's been cold in Melbourne this winter isn't. The same can be said of the fact that the rise in oceans on a global scale is not denied that it has not happened in Tuvalu. Simply you doctor can tell you have HIV but Bolt's denial I can't see it and I feel great today so fuck off.

Murdoch certainly realized the power of media and it's influence. His
reach today is 37% of America. 67% of Australia and I don't know how
much of UK. However he wants the BBC broken up the ABC diminished and
and a greater US spread.
Murdoch
doesn't like Trump because he's a wild card amongst the Republicans, a
non politician whose unpredictable. However Fox News gives Trump the
greatest air time of all candidates and rating wise of mutual benefit.
