Simply batting for a side, not any truth or principle. No mention that James Comey actually requested the DOJ investigation.

 It's why  journalists rarely focus on Andrew Bolt  at all other than when they are in direct opposition to him  like Paul Kelly and Chris Mitchell often are. Others generally get on with their work. Matt Taibbi is asking questions not of Trump but of the FBI and he's a real journalist and Andrew Bolt is using that. Bolt hasn't many places to turn when defending Trump other than Breitbart, News Corp and their ilk which becomes too obvious because they are the same team and in the main it's who he turns to here News Corp, IPA, Quadrant etal and other lazy propagandists who don't have time to use reasoned analysis. So when opportunity knocks Bolt turns to  real journalism when questioning the FBI's motives. Bolt feels it's bolstering Trump's defense. It's flipping where Trump is innocent  Hilary was guilty where the FBI are a fith column they were once heroes. Truth isn't a goal and has no place in propaganda.

The problem is that the conspiracy of a total organization like the  FBI  acting in unison  is a pipe dream because all it's members seem to support their sacked boss. Where the White House  is the total opposite.   Matt Taibbi's questions don't really seem to be as barbed, blinkered or desperate in their accusations as those coming from Fox News whose backs seem really to the wall in their defense of Trump. Hannity Carlson don't care because they are in the business of ratings and influence they don't need to win or lose just be in your face. That's what Bolt strives for.

How often do you see Bolt mention these crimes unless committed by a Muslim. Let one Muslim no Christian immigrant from Africa step out of line and Bolt is totally outraged. However he never discusses the crime committed by the kids in private schools where murder, manslaughter, GBH, arson and drug related mayhem also exist along with undisclosed rape. If Bolt in any way intends to want a real conversation about crime he really does need to address it with a far less blinkered view.
