In light of the latest IPCC report on climate change, it’s crucial we
remember these four steps to avoiding a climate catastrophe. First,
create green jobs. Investing in renewable energy could create millions
of family sustaining, union jobs and build the infrastructure we need
for marginalized communities to access clean water and air. Second, stop
dirty energy. A massive investment in renewable energy jobs isn’t
enough to combat the climate crisis. If we are going to avoid the worst
impacts of climate change, we must tackle the problem at its source:
Stop digging up and burning more oil, gas, and coal.
Yet, as the evidence has accumulated, and the new IPCC report
reinforces it, Australia has carved out a name for itself as a global
laggard — grouped with denialist authoritarian states like Russia, and Saudi Arabia.

Justice as a process of testing evidence is ditched with a right to say whatever he wants. To proclaim what he wants over and above Australia's value of empirically testing what we all except is a method to arrive at Justice. Bolt doesn't offer more than "faith" "and a top-down "religious" like judgement. It's as if he has the right to a "contempt of court" an illegal act here yet ignored in the US. It’s a vicious circle as fire after fire, as well as other farming activities, damage surrounding forests making them more prone to future fires. The cycle has alarmed some scientists who fear the rainforest is being pushed closer toward a tipping point they call the “dieback scenario”, where the forests enter an irreversible cycle of collapse.
“This year it is a correct statement that most of the fires are on previously cleared lands or are deforesting lands immediately adjacent to them,” said Professor Mark Cochrane, an expert in Amazon deforestation from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science.
That’s the case most years, since fires are lit by farmers and usually can only spread through disturbed forest. An exception is during severe droughts, when fires can spread through less disturbed forest, Professor Cochrane said. But he said this year was “exceptional in recent memory” because of the proportion of the ongoing fires were being used for deforestation, rather than merely for the maintenance of previously deforested areas.
July and August this year had the highest rates of clearing of any month in the past five years, according to Brazil’s space agency. The global oil giant has told its workforce it is seeking to sell its onshore plants and offshore rigs in Victoria's Bass Strait.
"ExxonMobil will be testing market interest for a number of assets worldwide, including its operated producing assets in Australia, as part of an ongoing evaluation of its assets," a company spokesman said.

What Bolt takes for granted is what you can't see doesn't exist. The fact is everything is becoming clearer a less hidden and the rates of divorce the rates of behaviours once hidden are fast revealing themselves, and the ultra-conservative media hounds are merely doing their best to promote denial. Walk the streets of Melbourne and what do you see an increasing Aboriginal lifestyle except for those homeless persons you see are increasingly white. Australian men are racing yes racing overseas to engage with Asian women who are believed to be subservient and more obedient than white Australians who won't put up with being disciplined. It's very much a condition of a culture where men expect to be obeyed. Bolt's own language reflects that when he whines that he's the sole breadwinner and has to take his wife on holidays. The most embarrassing aspect of the whole affair was Bolt actually was forced to apologise by way of a court order threat that's how hard it is for him to say sorry.
Rose tinted glasses doesn't hide the fact that men have had sentences for murder reduced if it was proved there wives were unfaithful but not so wives that kill their husbands in self-defence.
Bolt brags that Aboriginal Culture allows women to be beaten bullshit that's totally unbelievable. They are in the main greater practising Christians than whites are a culture that has failed to protect them from the ravages of poverty and women in particular from its accompanying dysfunctions. I'm afraid Bolt's racism bigotry misogyny reveals little more than the social psychology that he's adopted to protect the privileges he really inherited from 200 years of Colonial bigotry that still has links to an Inglorious history.
It's alright to be white has been a norm, a truth for hundreds of years as evidenced throughout an inglorious colonial history but it's never been alright to be coloured and statistical data collected over the years has evidenced that. Conservative opinion has dominated, denied and or silenced that evidence to the contrary. How is it they have only opinion to sell "Being White is Great" because that evidence is there it's real yes but at the expense of color.
So to say otherwise is to risk the loss of privilege and that's what racists fear even the lowest class of whites. We see it and hear it daily these days just as it was heard in the past to justify and excuse the inequity of color.
So any sign of resentment then allows whites claim they are the real victims of racism.
When did black racism actually begin to happen when how and why are never discussed in any historical context? Neither Bolt or Hanson have ever been able to pin point the beginnings of this new racism they talk about. A Reverse Racism that simply doesn't exist.
