 Australia's fate relies on hiding the fact that the recent history of Australian disasters both cultural, economic and political began with none other than Tony Abbott who in a trade-off with his backers adopted the IPA's 75 point plan for the Nation. We've been on a downhill slide since then and currently, the blame is being directed solely at Malcolm Turnbull. Abbott's boosters News Corp and the IPA remain the most focused on that task. Currently, their goal seems the Liberal Party's failure because the long-term outcome remains the same, the return of Abbott or at least a clone. Promote or hide him the intention is to keep Jack in the box until the next catastrophe an ALP government and then raise him from the grave on the basis of "remember when in 2013".
It's bound to fail just as it did when Murdoch took his boy to the Alfalfa Club in Atlanta to boost him as a global statesman and failed miserably. Bolt tries to make Abbott shine this time around by focussing on Turnbull but can't seem to raise Abbott's stocks no matter what he does. Abbott still today would fail miserably on the preferred PM stakes. But Bolt's not there to win in the short term he's there to distract deflect and distort on a daily basis right or wrong to just keep going until the electorate forgets yet again.

FINKEL WAS RIGHT FIRST TIME: 'VIRTUALLY NOTHING'

Column I wrote that Alan Finkel, our Chief Scientist, had said that Australia could stop all its carbon dioxide emissions and the difference to the climate would be “virtually nothing”. He bow says this was a "complete misrepresentation of my position”. But the video, the facts and the logic are all against him.

 Whoa just because Finkel can be quoted as having said the words the context isn't that clear the way Bolt has presented it. Is the conversation referred to about the total combined global action or just Australia's? It seems the world is calling for a greater combined reduction of emissions than 1.3%  The context of the question is so truncated that the reply really is open to distortion.
 Further, does it mean Andrew Bolt hasn't said the same over and over again for the past decade? He's been a public denier about global action being a waste of time. Australian action so small as not to matter. Yes, many scientists have said the same despite their calling for further immediate and even greater effort on emissions reduction. Everyone has admitted and agreed damage is done and has already passed the tipping point but not everyone agrees it can't be slowed in the long term like Andrew Bolt commentator and lobbyist for Fossil Fuel interests who have said there no point in doing anything because man-made climate change is really a trivial part of Climate Change as a whole. 
There is a major difference between the context of Finkel and Bolt's comments and the fact remains Bolt does say emissions reduction targets are a global waste of time and money. He was once an advocate of spending the money on the concept of clean-coal an oxymoron if ever there was one.

JUDGE ROBS MEDIA OF CATHOLIC PREY

Column Yes there is a media witch hunt to convict Catholic priests, and Judge Roy Ellis called it out. He had just quashed a dubious conviction against former archbishop Philip Wilson, and noted: "The mere presence of large amounts of media from all around Australia and the world carries with it a certain amount of pressure on the court.”

A "witch hunt to convict Catholic priests" British Law it seems is a form of Sharia Law and priests should be somehow excluded from it. Well, they have been by and large for hundreds of years. Now their actions are being tested. The media attention and influence isn't what's being tested its the Archbishop's complicity in not disclosing criminal molestation and his degree of knowledge outside of the confessional. But it seems law is not what's important to Bolt guilt and innocence to be better judged by opinion. He's certainly lead the vigilante cry against Sudanese in this country and ha called for collective punishment of various groups he's chosen to fixate on.

An academic tries to get Sky News boycotted and won't simply argue back when challenged: "Edith Cowan University...  confirmed it was aware of prolific tweeting by Andrew Priest, a lecturer in accounting at its business and law school who supports a boycott campaign... Priest did not respond to a request for comment." Is debate allowed in class?

What luxury Bolt and Goebell's had with access to their own arena for debate. Bolt doesn't debate he generally changes the meaning such that debate becomes meaningless and he can then say "I win". Bolt says he's indigenous more so than Adam Goodes. When blogging writing and editorialising he's not debating but he's talking nonsense. However, when he actually takes his rant and tries it on as he did with the ex-PM of NZ James Bolger he becomes the fool he is and is reduced to childlike silence. When similar circumstances occur in his own arena the Bolt Report as happened with James Matheson Bolt says times up we need to move on but will have you back very soon to continue. It doesn't happen.
Notice Bolt doesn't offer to debate others outside his own arena he's not offering a public forum. His idea on debating could be between a Russian and himself without an interpreter and in so many cases he tries to alter the syntax and meaning of words so much that it might as well be between peoples of a foreign language. In this case, Bolt's not arguing with Andrew Priest he's actually arguing about Priests right to Twitter. A priest doesn't have to argue back in his efforts to Boycott Sky News or argue in Bolt's arena. Sleeping Giants are entitled to run Boycott's on Bolt. They are free not to argue a case on Bolt's Show because the audience isn't great and possibly isn't the people they want to reach. Andrew Priest isn't addressing Andrew Bolt, by the way, he's addressing the system that allows Bolt and his ilk so much privilege not to debate but simply promote messages of less than dubious quality for the unsuccessful purpose currently of persuasion. His advertisers need to look at the value for money Sky News actually generates.

So scepticism is abuse according to Bolt who pulls out a report based on Altimetry. and concludes 
it to be better than the IPCC report of 2013. Why didn't he point out the problems with this report when peer-reviewed by other scientists. Where they being sceptics or abusers? Bolt tries to hold himself up as an intelligent sceptic yet fundamentally ignores the methodology applied in the report to those he flags as the answer to the claim the seas are rising. Most of that research, by the way, was in Arctica and not Antarctica. Bolt's not a sceptic he is an abuser and a denier. But even more, his efforts are to confuse and try to show Science isn't doing its job.

JUDGES ARE NOT BIASED? REALLY?

My editorial from The Bolt Report  - Victorian judges take on three ministers for suggesting they are biased. Seriously? Free speech at stake. In fact, so much so that on legal advice I cannot even let you comment.

 Is Bolt serious that this is a 'free speech ' issue? When Scott Morrison prevented doctors, nurses and staff reporting on what was occurring on Manus he supported it.  These restrictive laws were introduced by the Abbott Government and had News Corps support against 'free speech'  Bolt is against leakers, whistle blowers if and when it's against his Conservative team. If leaks are against the left  all restrictions are justifiably criticized.  

Contempt of court laws have been for time inmemoriun. They are there t to protect the independance of our judiciary and  to restrict the influence and interference of invividuals and organizations like Bolt's from attempting to interfere with due process. The very statement Bolt is making here doesn't prevent him speaking openly about the law and judicary but it does prevent him from attempting to influence specific judgements.

This however is over dramatization and sensationalism by Bolt and thearter of the absurd. How he whinged and whined when convicted by Judge Mordecai Bromberg it's as if the sky had fallen in and nothin happened. To emphazize his complaints he applied the same tactics telling us he was restricted in what he wanted to really say as if he were another Derryn Hinch a victim of the judiciary. Bolt seems to want another system of justice but never really says what it is he means he just whines. Would he prefer Saudi Law or Russian? Judges aren't exempt from the system either.

 

 

FINKEL'S FINE PRINT: ELECTRICITY PLAN WILL COST, NOT SAVE

Last week's spin: "Australian households would save about $90 a year ...  under the Clean Energy Target proposed by the Finkel review." Yesterday Alan Finkel admitted this is not true - it doesn't include the price of back-up for wind and solar. Liberal MPs and journalists should be furious they were misled.

Bolt's hurdling over what he thinks is the body of global reality in a rush to fantasize the death of Finkel why is that? When Banks aren't interested in investing in coal and the power industry is divesting in coal and business is leading the way to invest in renewable s to become self sufficient. Why is Bolt the shonky financial adviser telling everybody to bet on the the dud horse. The energy ministers of India and China have clearly said they were reducing their importation of coal whose left? Oh the USof A but hang on some of it's states the biggest in fact California has just signed an independent pact with Germany to promote renewables.

Bolt swears if you bet the farm on coal you'll be the winner and so will Aus. Simply bet against the rest of the world like Abbott bet against Gillard's NBN and you can't lose. After all that advice has take us fom 4th to 65th in the world when it comes to internet speed and capacity. You can rely on the Bolt because he's not telling you where is money is invested.

If financial advisers can be sued why can't advisers like Bolt be sued after all some people pay for his advice. 

TURNBULL BACKS FREE SPEECH IN WAR WITH JUDGES

Good on Malcolm Turnbull: "Malcolm Turnbull has supported three government ­ministers who have been asked to explain why they should not face contempt-of-court proceedings after criticising two senior Victorian judges. The Prime Minister yesterday endorsed  'freedom of speech'.” How can it be a crime to accuse judges of bias?

  what it means is:
1) That you have to respect the authority of the court.
2) You cannot defy court orders of your own free will.
3) It symbolises that the court stands for a legal authority and no one is above the law.

It ensures that everybody is equal in the eyes of the law and it goes direct to the heart of due process. Andrew Bolt demands exactly that when he talks of our Constitution so why is he here smearing our court system which strives to do what on any other day he calls for?

 

TURNBULL SUCKS UP TO JOURNALISTS, HURTS AUSTRALIA WITH TRUMP BASH

Malcolm Turnbull's mockery of Donald Trump at the Press Club ball exactly demonstrates why he's a disastrous leader of a Liberal party. He sucked up to a Left-wing audience by bashing a conservative. He put his popularity among the Left above the national interest. Oh, and he bumgled the whole thing.

 It can't be denied  touting for Trump is one of News Corp's agendas globally. Despite the fact that Trump's approval rating at 36 is almost at his record low of 35 the lowest by any of the Presidents in the modern era. Yet the usual suspects at News Corp keep telling us his base is staunch.

Trump nobody else bashes like he bashes himself. However what another opportunity this is to raise Lazaurus yet again by smearing Turnbull and I'm sure it's being pushed globally by none other than Rupert Murdoch and the usual crew Bolt, Shanahan, Sheridan and Kenny I'm sure others have jumped on the band wagon to tell us how Turnbull is damaging the country

Currently Fox News is blaming 'left wing media' or a euphemism for all media other than itself for the recent  shootings that took place at Nationals Park. Fox says they were done by a Trump hater pushed and encouraged by the leftist media. However such is not the the current hatred rant being showered on Malcolm Turnbull because Murdoch doesn't hate him.  Are we to believe the unison of the News Corp voice isn't confected Turnbull shaming for Tony?

Malcolm Turnbull is taking the Liberal out of the Liberal party: "Tony Abbott's prospects of recontesting his seat at the next election are under increasing threat with momentum building within the NSW Liberal Party to bump him off at preselection...  The moderate faction is also not discounting trying again to unseat conservative Craig Kelly."

Did anyone see Bolt comment on the sacking of Roger Ailes or Bill O'Reilly at Fox? Did he even comment on their poor behavior when first reported? How about Trumps tweets and locker room banter just a ho ho ho from a Caesar or maybe a Nero? 
Julius Caesar was Shakespeare's hero and was praised not mourned by Mark Antony maybe Bolt should have considered for the part of Antony in the play. After all he incessantly praised Abbott even when the whole world was laughing at him a global lefty conspiracy no doubt. Trump is just another Abbott. They like Bolt apologize  like Paul Ryan promising a change that as with Abbott never comes. Bolt just kept apologizing for Australia's dead man walking PM's performance promising  self-realization and a rebirth that never came. In the end, Bolt went silent.
Einstien defined insanity repeating the same actions and expecting a different outcome it's what Andrew Bolt did and keeps on doing as does Sean Spicer for Trump nothing changes. Neuro -Plasticity indicates that if you repeat the same mistakes over and over and have been thinking that way at length you brain changes. I've always said the suit was a disguise for Bolt  and the real Bolt revealed himself when he was ready to kill two pranksters now that wasn't a Shakespearean play that was reality

WHAT ARE THE LIBERALS FOR IF THEY AGREE TO TURNBULL'S CARBON TAX?

My editorial from The Bolt Report - what are the Liberals for if they agree to Malcolm Turnbull's new carbon tax?

1) The Emissions Tax is about policies that can be negotiated and bills that can be passed. It's certainly not just about broken English. It's about values moving forward about do's not don'ts it's about right and not just a need to retain a plunging bottom line.

2) Australians want to move on and not lag behind the rest of the world. Labor lost the election that Abbott never won and the ambiance of this country changed with a leader that everyone kept apologizing for even Andrew Bolt. The problem, the apology is used as an excuse.

3) Emissions regulation is more than just a Carbon Tax it's an investment into a cleaner future that realizes Climate Change is a problem but Clean Energy is value worth fighting for

4) Industry, Finance, and Australians are all for progress which only comes with certainty and political stability. Conservatives don't play or believe in the "we" game of a nation.

5) Investment  will only follow where the path to the future is certain and it currently isn't in coal globally. The future is not in coal as communications wasn't in copper wire and Abbott's Nope to Labor's NBN

6) The Liberals may just have come to learn they work for us Australians and not just their donors or lobby groups like the IPA. that the nation wants more than just a political party fighting among it's own members resulting in the regressive thinking of the past 3 years. That's not Turnbull either it was Tony Abbott leader of Australia's DUP equivalent.

7) Should Abbott win be prepared for Andrew Bolt to be seen celebrating the win raising an ISIS flag in much the same way the DUP celebrated Theresa May's Loss.

CASSIE JAYE ON HOW WALEED AND O'KEEFE AMBUSHED HER

Cassie Jaye is an American who made a film, The Red Pill, about the men’s movement.  I’ve said before how this film - serious, balanced - has been banned here by some cinemas. Now Jaye has been attacked by TV hosts who lectured her, heckled her and made false claims about a movie they hadn’t seen. She told me Australia is unbelievable.  Watch.

As once said in a great film Cool Hand Luke and I quote " What we have here is a failure to communicate" Waleed reviewed Cassie Jaye's film for what it was and Andrew Bolt just promoted it. What he promoted, however, was weak journalism, confused filmmaking and a grab for a dollar. It hardly flipped the sociological feminist argument in favor of men nor has it turned Cassie Jaye into another Michael Moore or John Pilger. It has however made Bolt's little production seem like users with no original ideas of their own. Bolt often uses Waleed Aly's show as a stepping stone for his simply flipping the ideas. Is his production dept so lacking in them? I think not but they are more likely to be under Bolt's instructions.
 He needn't worry CH10 is going broke because the Murdochs won't any longer guarantee it's loans. They don't want to buy it but do want to get Sky News and friends on free to air. Maybe it will happen next year when the media laws have been scrapped.  Bolt could follow Waleed and grab some leftover ratings.

So since Ch10 was put in the hands of the Administrators today Murdoch's are moving in with a "rescue package" or should I say the hyenas are there the first at the table. Yes, the same Murdoch's who refused to guarantee Ch 10's loans in the first place. What are the chances of a change to the media laws and Sky News being put in place of the current news dept? Editorialized misinformation brought to you at the hands of Rupert Murdoch. Maybe we will see Bolt feasting on the leftovers of Waleeds audience earlier than anticipated and presenting the IPA/ Abbott hour tonight

FINKEL REPORT'S FUNNY FIGURES

The Turnbull Government is pushing the Finkel report as a miracle that would give us lots more renewable energy - an amazing 42 per cent of our electricity - by 2030 without higher power prices or more blackouts. But this graph suggests it's just making stuff up.

  Let me point out there is no verifiable link in Bolt's show of figures. Nor does it appear that there is any logic as his little copy of Finkel's chart aren't lined up. As for the % increase in 3 years to double isn't that unbelievable when it's only an increase of 75% and over 33 years an increase of 600%. It seems the rate of increase will be dependent on the investment gold rush and by 2050 much higher than 54%. I don't relly understand the point Bolt is making given the energy producers want political certainty so they can plan their investment strategy. I thought Bolt hated political control over the market? It appears he calling for more.

All these single and disconnected events have one explanation for Bolt and any others wrong. As far as Bolt logic is concerned smoking doesn't cause cancer and CO2 is not a Green House Gas and Muslims in the main aren't innocent.

 Bolt's arguments are simply based on the probability of a win in an argument and if a win isn't possible to simply confuse the issue. Free speech is to do with reasoned logic and discussion and not just tipping the table over and making a noise nor is it defended by violence where we actually saw bollards stop Bolt. They were in the form of tables and chairs.

MORE EVIDENCE OF A DANGEROUS IMMIGRATION POLICY

This is an event that happens in Australia on a regular basis where drama, rape, and violence occur no matter the religion. The only difference in this narrative is  Religion is given a greater profile as is the visa status of the man. Generally, these remain incidental data to a media story.  Needless to say, Bolt link is The Daily Telegraph making it a News Corp beat up. Had the story not been about Muslims religion would never have been mentioned and Bolt would have ignored it. 

 

WHY TURNBULL'S GREEN PLAN IS DESTROYING THE LIBERALS

The Turnbull Government is destroying itself by touting the Finkel report with its renewable energy target of a ludicrous 42 per cent. The Liberal party room must water it down, if not block it. Turnbull will then fight Labor with a compromise on his own green beliefs. He will fight having conceded the argument to Labor. No wonder he faces revolt.

The whole of Bolt's post is about an argument nothing to do with right or wrong it's about how to win or lose an argument and compromise isn't an option. It's why Abbott could never run a government because all he ever did was want to run an argument. Australians don't want debates abstracted from reality it's why the Conservatives and Hanson are fast becoming recognized for what they are. Obstructionists to negotiation compromise and the passing of bills. It's what we pay for. It's what Julia Gillard did despite the obsessive arguments going on around her.

Oh dear, remember the days of Julia Gillard and the Bolt commentaries his cackling about Gillard from behind the Conservatives were a Greek chorus.  Bolt was big on his "frightbats" and his shaming of so many women he never apologized once. What we have here is a clear case of the pot calling the kettle black. The man lied about his ex-fiance and was forced yes forced to say "sorry". There is no moral high ground that Andrew Bolt can take on this subject of shaming either women or men. Did anybody notice the high Bolt got out of his Carlton brawling the story is in pictures above?
