 Bolt claims reason alone doesn't work when people have a tin ear. It seems he's talking about himself here. He for one doesn't apply reason here instead, in some way, throwing it to Dr Bjorn Lomborg seems enough. However, Lomborg has vanished and Bolt doesn't say where he is or the lucky patrons that have picked him up

One thing for sure is facts and logic don't count for Andrew Bolt. Bolt has admitted that collecting facts verifying them and interpreting and analysing the data from them is not his cup of tea. It's why he became an obituary writer and then moved on to being an opinion columnist.
Bolt more often than not, however, collects facts that suit his predetermined conclusions. Yes, it's the work of a lazy cop who wants to set someone up. He goes any place anytime and simplistically bundles together unconnected data to make a point that his alleged victim is guilty. His use of statistics is much the same if it exaggerates his point he'll use if it doesn't he'll dump them. The good example his attempt at trying to convince us his Bolt Report ratings are fantastic really high "off a small base" which could mean 100% if his family watches his show and is his undefined small base. He does the same in reverse when he says black African immigrants have the highest rate of crime in Melbourne, of course, they do when it's off a small base.
Bolt loves ridicule, deflection, distortion, anything to avoid criticism and even turns to meaningless moot points that leave reality unexplained avoided untouched and unchanged. His best moot and ridiculous point was when he claimed:"I'm more Indigenous than any Aborigine or Torres Strait Islander that's younger than me". That's the quality of Bolt's reasoning better to avoid reality merely try to redefine the language of debate and he expected everyone to believe and understand him. Science is just a Religion to Bolt and no better than any other opinion which is another escapist idiocy of Bolt's.
 "Reason won't work Bolt claims in his editorial " Well it seems to me quite the opposite is true. Scientific reasoning has brought us a very long way over the past two centuries accelerating our understanding of the world around us faster as time has passed. The truth is, however, Andrew Bolt hasn't moved with it.
"Professor Lomborg" and his "World Famous Copenhagen Consensus Center" Where is it? Denmark denies any association with it. It was once sponsored by the Koch Bros and used him for promoting their anti-warming interests but after a year he was dropped. Lomborg isn't a scientist. His professorship was an honorary title only and all Australian Universities in the worlds top 100 came to realise it. He wasn't qualified to be a tutor. He was going to be Abbott's tool with a $4 mill bribe to any tertiary institution buy Lomborg respectability not for the studying of global climate but for the denial of the science of global climate warming only. But Lomborg and Abbott were busted because he was neither a teaching academic nor a real researcher in that field.
Where is Bolt's world-famous professor and his CCC today I bet you Bolt doesn't say and as yet haven't listened to his full editorial? Like the Ramsay WCIV Center Bolt says it's "study" of WCIV but when examined it's not and neither was Lomborg's CCC. a study of Global Climate. Stupidly Abbott spilled the beans in Quadrant when he said they were truth centres that really needed a University to market their predetermined narratives as the truth. PR centres disguised as centres of academic integrity. 
Busted Bolt's rhetoric flips and all the top universities around the world are declared blind and ignorant for not recognizing Lomborg's and the Ramsay Center's genius. They don't deserve their wisdom.
 Yes Andrew Bolt uses every trick in the book except scientific data, peer-reviewed research and the applied reasoning of 97% of global climate scientists who are in agreement that the rate of global warming is accelerating as has never been witnessed before and largely due to the increased greenhouse gasses produced by man and our use of fossil fuels. All Bolt offers in reply is rhetoric the waving of hands, performed laughter, Lomborg and calling science's deductive and inductive logic a religion.
 Now if that's Bolt logic and reasoning thank Australian Universities for their wisdom and their history of real progressive thought in our understanding of the physical world in which we live and the assistance to decisions we need to make in order to save more than just 12 boys lives. No such reasoning is applied when politicians incarcerating children as do Conservatives for simply trying to escape the mayhem in their countries of origin. 
 Finally for the whereabouts of Bolt's "World Famous Lomborg and his CCC"

Australian teenagers have a history and record of trashing their parent's homes and the Herald Sun used to be the first to headline the events. Rest assured property damage in rental housing isn't solely the domain of the Sudanese kids or their community but the reporting by Bolt is and can be guaranteed when it happens. Heis guaranteed to make out it's exceptional as if it's not uncommon to that group alone. When it's not and never has been. It's part of what's regarded as Rental Risk which is higher in the new AirBnB market desperate to rent.

JUDGES ARE NOT BIASED? REALLY?

My editorial from The Bolt Report  - Victorian judges take on three ministers for suggesting they are biased. Seriously? Free speech at stake. In fact, so much so that on legal advice I cannot even let you comment.

 Is Bolt serious that this is a 'free speech ' issue? When Scott Morrison prevented doctors, nurses and staff reporting on what was occurring on Manus he supported it.  These restrictive laws were introduced by the Abbott Government and had News Corps support against 'free speech'  Bolt is against leakers, whistle blowers if and when it's against his Conservative team. If leaks are against the left  all restrictions are justifiably criticized.  

Contempt of court laws have been for time inmemoriun. They are there t to protect the independance of our judiciary and  to restrict the influence and interference of invividuals and organizations like Bolt's from attempting to interfere with due process. The very statement Bolt is making here doesn't prevent him speaking openly about the law and judicary but it does prevent him from attempting to influence specific judgements.

This however is over dramatization and sensationalism by Bolt and thearter of the absurd. How he whinged and whined when convicted by Judge Mordecai Bromberg it's as if the sky had fallen in and nothin happened. To emphazize his complaints he applied the same tactics telling us he was restricted in what he wanted to really say as if he were another Derryn Hinch a victim of the judiciary. Bolt seems to want another system of justice but never really says what it is he means he just whines. Would he prefer Saudi Law or Russian? Judges aren't exempt from the system either.

 

 

FINKEL'S FINE PRINT: ELECTRICITY PLAN WILL COST, NOT SAVE

Last week's spin: "Australian households would save about $90 a year ...  under the Clean Energy Target proposed by the Finkel review." Yesterday Alan Finkel admitted this is not true - it doesn't include the price of back-up for wind and solar. Liberal MPs and journalists should be furious they were misled.

Bolt's hurdling over what he thinks is the body of global reality in a rush to fantasize the death of Finkel why is that? When Banks aren't interested in investing in coal and the power industry is divesting in coal and business is leading the way to invest in renewable s to become self sufficient. Why is Bolt the shonky financial adviser telling everybody to bet on the the dud horse. The energy ministers of India and China have clearly said they were reducing their importation of coal whose left? Oh the USof A but hang on some of it's states the biggest in fact California has just signed an independent pact with Germany to promote renewables.

Bolt swears if you bet the farm on coal you'll be the winner and so will Aus. Simply bet against the rest of the world like Abbott bet against Gillard's NBN and you can't lose. After all that advice has take us fom 4th to 65th in the world when it comes to internet speed and capacity. You can rely on the Bolt because he's not telling you where is money is invested.

If financial advisers can be sued why can't advisers like Bolt be sued after all some people pay for his advice. 

TURNBULL BACKS FREE SPEECH IN WAR WITH JUDGES

Good on Malcolm Turnbull: "Malcolm Turnbull has supported three government ­ministers who have been asked to explain why they should not face contempt-of-court proceedings after criticising two senior Victorian judges. The Prime Minister yesterday endorsed  'freedom of speech'.” How can it be a crime to accuse judges of bias?

  what it means is:
1) That you have to respect the authority of the court.
2) You cannot defy court orders of your own free will.
3) It symbolises that the court stands for a legal authority and no one is above the law.

It ensures that everybody is equal in the eyes of the law and it goes direct to the heart of due process. Andrew Bolt demands exactly that when he talks of our Constitution so why is he here smearing our court system which strives to do what on any other day he calls for?

 

TURNBULL SUCKS UP TO JOURNALISTS, HURTS AUSTRALIA WITH TRUMP BASH

Malcolm Turnbull's mockery of Donald Trump at the Press Club ball exactly demonstrates why he's a disastrous leader of a Liberal party. He sucked up to a Left-wing audience by bashing a conservative. He put his popularity among the Left above the national interest. Oh, and he bumgled the whole thing.

 It can't be denied  touting for Trump is one of News Corp's agendas globally. Despite the fact that Trump's approval rating at 36 is almost at his record low of 35 the lowest by any of the Presidents in the modern era. Yet the usual suspects at News Corp keep telling us his base is staunch.

Trump nobody else bashes like he bashes himself. However what another opportunity this is to raise Lazaurus yet again by smearing Turnbull and I'm sure it's being pushed globally by none other than Rupert Murdoch and the usual crew Bolt, Shanahan, Sheridan and Kenny I'm sure others have jumped on the band wagon to tell us how Turnbull is damaging the country

Currently Fox News is blaming 'left wing media' or a euphemism for all media other than itself for the recent  shootings that took place at Nationals Park. Fox says they were done by a Trump hater pushed and encouraged by the leftist media. However such is not the the current hatred rant being showered on Malcolm Turnbull because Murdoch doesn't hate him.  Are we to believe the unison of the News Corp voice isn't confected Turnbull shaming for Tony?

TURNBULL ALLIES MOVE TO SACK ABBOTT, PURGE CONSERVATIVES

Malcolm Turnbull is taking the Liberal out of the Liberal party: "Tony Abbott's prospects of recontesting his seat at the next election are under increasing threat with momentum building within the NSW Liberal Party to bump him off at preselection...  The moderate faction is also not discounting trying again to unseat conservative Craig Kelly."

 It's about time and it show he hasn't the numbers.

From there on in Andrew Bolt became the insane aggressor. That too is plain to see in the video. One asks who told Steyn the story it must have been Bolt because there weren't 3 people. There were 2 camera men one declared himself and denied he was involved. How is it the story has been left with Bolt to relay and nobody else because it;s not true The video, the camera mans silence and the woman's disappearance all prove what we are seeing is PR protection on the part of Bolt. Charge him!!

HOLLAND MOVES RIGHT

The ABC spins the Dutch election result: "Voters in the Netherlands ... have turned their back on the anti-establishment populist candidate Geert Wilders." Really? Check the results.

Just how unconvincing is Bolt? The polls predicted a Hanson landslide the polls predicted a Wilders boil over win. Bolt predicted a huge win for both of them.

The result  Wilders didn't sound as if he won. He didn't  even suggest he'd accomplished what he'd hoped for. The Greens certainly did sound as if they won. The whole of Europe didn't seem to be declaring a Wilders won or that there was a massive swing to the right. Bolt actually sounds like he was a member of the Dutch Socialist Left who lost ground.  There wasn't any partying in the Bolt household.

As for the ABC they provided the feeling as well as the facts of the Dutch election they didn't spin it at all. The reflected the disappointment of the populist right who were poll front runners and performed surprisingly worse than expected. 

TURNBULL'S PLAN COSTS MORE POWER THAN IT ADDS

This claim about Malcolm Turnbull's $2 billion Snowy scheme is misleading: "Turnbull ... said the project will increase power output by 50 per cent."  In fact, using electricity to pump water up hill to make hydro electricity when it falls takes 20 per cent more power than it creates. It is an expensive battery. Wouldn't a generator be more useful?

  If Andrew Bolt proved to be as much an expert on Hyrdro Power as he does to be a predictor of the outcome of the Dutch Election we'd all be going to hell in a hand basket. Here we have Bolt commenting on Hydro Power while promoting his show and disparaging Turnbull at the same time. However Turnbull didn't create the energy crisis in as much as Tony Abbott ignored it for the sake of opposition to Julia Gillard. The crisis was a politically created one. How else can a country of 24mill with more power resources than the rest of the world be incapable of having sufficient energy? We don't get the royalties Norway gets. We squandered the savings made. We don't even collect the  taxes Japan gets for our gas. This isn't Turnbull's creation. We privatized on a promise of cheap power and were lied to. Now we rely on the promises of privateers working in the interests of only some Australians not all Australians and Bolt is talking technology. 

What is even more odd Bolt directs us to a link to Professor Blakers who writes nothing but a positive report on Hydro storage his article makes no mention of the negative effects Bolt's talking about. Is Bolt the expert on power as well as everything that moves. He's certainly silent on the failure of the populist right in Europe.

GILLIAN TRIGGS AT BOB BROWN EVENT

What else can Gillian Triggs do to discredit the Human Rights Commission she leads? She has misled the Senate, persecuted innocent students, undermined free speech, led biased inquiries and now this: "Triggs ... [is] speaking at a fundraising event for former Greens leader Bob Brown." Resign now.

  "Liberal backbencher Eric Abetz said the event appeared to contravene the Public Service Code of Conduct..." Abetz   Of course Bolt would quote the man who also told us abortions lead to cancer. They are a pigeon pair if ever there is one.If Gillian Triggs even suggested that clean air was preferable to breathe than polluted these two would be on her to resign. Yes Abetz can give Australians medical advice contrary to all scientific research and be praised by Bolt for doing it especially if it meant the disparagement of Triggs.

The major players AGL, Origin, etc  are in a state of transition and know plants like Hazelwood have had their day and new ones are no longer a future investment and they are saying  ETS will bring certainty into the market and drive money where it's needed.

Miranda Devine simply denied the freedom of others "persecutors" to deny Leak "instead he was assailed with an open letter from “173 media and communications professionals” slamming his “racist cartoon”.Devine. The thing that she points out is that 1) The ARHC responded to complaints as much as they'd like us to believe the incited them which would be 'free speech' if they did.

In fact Bolt polices his space more strictly than even the AHRC that is and NGO and not a Government Department only an advisory body and Bolt wants it closed down and demands the Government change it's laws to make the AHRC a toothless tiger. The Problem Bolt has with that is nobody is lining up to come as we are seen as a  Pacific Nation giving off the vibes that Sth Africa once did it the times of apartheid.
Maybe the Bolt's of Melbourne  have spent a lot of energy putting their message across to Islander and African kids letting them know they are not wanted. So why does the latest data show the cost of renewable energy already soaring, and why are governments still tipping taxpayer's money into wind farms? This is a disaster.

If this is fact then why is Australia so expensive it has to be for other reasons because Australia is and advanced and efficient economy yet lies 110 in the worlds rankings. Something doesn't make sense here what does is Bolt's Xenophobic approach to the economics of energy because he doesn't want Australia's political, economic battles revealed for what they are regressive and backward policies when compared with the successes of 109 other countries. Sweden being the standout and the first to ban and make illegal the burning of fossil fuels within it's borders. A country where there is no homelessness, free health, education than we have. How rich does Andrew Bolt find it necessary to be?  In his "confirmation bias" approach to everything Bolt turns to SA lights going out due to exceptional weather. He doesn't exactly emphasize the weather though because that just might result in a discussion on climate change. Andrew Bolt jumps on individual events like this to support his self interested political conclusion drawn out of pro fossil fuel boosting and their bottom line interest. Basically he wants to tell us that renewable energy is expensive and will make us poor. My question is quite simple is Andrew Bolt wiser than Ross Garnaut has he studied the subject closely and why despite the lack of encouragement has the renewable energy industry been growing like topsy with investment pouring in? I think Professor Garnaut might have more to say about the progressive approach to energy than the regressive one Bolt keeps offering. Will the continuation of fossil fuels  maintain Australia as a leading energy hub in the future given that clean coal energy will require rising costs and renewable energy is now falling below the costs of coal and dropping. Bolt seems to always have his dollar tinted glasses on but not the ones that spell a betterment for the country.The confirmation bias and seeing only what you want to see ...

 

Gutless Victorian Liberals want gas drilling banned

Victoria's Liberal party proves it has no convictions and would rather help Labor make the state poorer than risk criticism on the ABC: "Victoria’s Coalition confirmed .... that [Labor's] legislation to ban fracking – and to extend a moratorium on conventional gas mining – would pass through Parliament with its support..." So why vote Liberal?  

Bolt logic Gold and gas companies mine  for a profit and do so when prices are UP. Does Bolt think they mine because they want to see prices drop  and make things cheaper for us all? If they export gas at a high price does he believe they will supply us locals at a low price? renewables are attractive simply because once established that's what they are in fact renewable and cheap. The production cost is falling not rising. Bolt even has the gall to declare the desalination plant a waste why because it hasn't been used for our safe water future yet. What doesn't he understand when it comes to "safety" first or the long term future if gas become too cheap mining it is over. Not so with renewable energy it will attract not detract high energy industry because it is cheap. 

 

Turnbull's "sycophant" attack: the verdict

Malcolm Turnbull attacks Bill Shorten as a "sycophant", a "suck up" to billionaires, a "social climber" and a "parasite". That's a sledge most journalists would damn if it came from Donald Trump. And is it doomed to be as "successful" as Gillard's "misogyny" spray? Here are the judge's verdicts.

  Is Bolt an avid Tony Abbott supporter the bouvver boy of question time being given an elephant stamp for politeness? Is Bolt's dummy spit on the Miranda Devine Show simply forgotten. What has Australia's question time historically the boys room of bad behaviour got anything to do with Dondald Trump making press announcements? No distictions obviously as far as Bolt's concerned yet just another opportunity for a put down of Turnbull a yes "My take - the sledge was good for rallying the troops but very few Australians outside Parliament and the press gallery saw it in full, which is how it gets its power." The fact is Gillard's reprroachment shone a light on the man who told Australia's women they were better behind their ironing boards it was bright light that shone to show just what a misogynist Abbott is and it has stuck. It's also stuck with the patronizing Bolt and Blair in Sydney that keep refering to some women as "frightbats" and saying no misogyny intended. Bolt's no Tim Blair mind you he tends to be a meely mouthed patronizing pussy when around women and he started that with Miranda but did you hear him cry with Miranda threatening to hang up because she was ruining "his" or "our" not "her" show as advertised?  What's funny is two days later it was being advertized by Bolt as her show with him as a regular guest. The next night it was dropped and back as Steve's show which Bolt prefers to call "his". He's a man child it's why he's Trump
