Doing what’s popular rather than what’s right at a time of crisis doesn’t seem to bode well for the future. Feast your eyes upon this, from an anonymous doctor in a western Sydney hospital: “We believe it likely that projected patient numbers will soon be overwhelming…from Westmead to Liverpool and Blacktown, ambulances now routinely line up in hospital carparks, unable to discharge their patients. What exactly is going on?”

Sobering sentiments, right there. And a question that verges on the rhetorical.

It’s the kind of event that many premiers – Victoria’s Daniel Andrews included – foreshadowed based on their health advice and brought about extensive lockdowns to avoid. This kind of activity has been taking place all over the world, notably in the US.

Five days ago, the Associated Press reported that the state of Arkansas ran out of intensive care unit beds for COVID-19 patients on Tuesday for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began. Arkansas has one of the lowest vaccination rates in the US, with 40% of the state’s population fully vaccinated.

At the time of writing, 18.7 million doses had been administered in Australia, with 6.9 million people fully vaccinated. Noice. But still, that only represents 27.2% of the population, which according to my limited understanding of arithmetic is less than 70%. To quote Harvey Keitel in Pulp Fiction, “Let’s not start sucking each other’s dicks just yet.”

The ABC is also reporting – somewhat depressingly – an “…increase in COVID-19 positive residents refusing to self-isolate”. That’s hard to read, and even harder to comprehend. Asymptomatic people, fatigued from the third wave lockdown? You can kind of understand them doing this. Those who are asymptomatic but have been tested because of proximity to Tier 1 or Tier 2 exposure sites? At a pinch, you can see why it happens, even though it really shouldn’t. But diagnosed COVID-19 positive cases not self-isolating? That’s a dirty pool. Criminal negligence. Public floggings in Martin Place-type stuff.

In NSW, official words and actions look to be motivated by the people’s prevailing mood, rather than best medical practice. Say what you will about Daniel Andrews’ government, but nothing he’s been doing for the past 18 months has been textbook popularity contest-winning stuff.

Bolt isn't even in Sydney or makes no suggestion that he's living with us the way Gladys says we should safe. Bolt doesn't even live in NSW or live the Berejiklian way at the best of times, "without fear." He remains as hidden as his most read blog is in Australia.

Sydney hospitals are under so much pressure that two have closed due to Covid and aren't accepting patients Westmead and Bankstown and others are 80% full and struggling why? The ambulance service is no longer functional as the the case numbers and community fear is through the roof. Case numbers keep increasing. It's not the case here in Melbourne where the numbers are only 6% of Sydney's and here is Bolt telling us to do it like Gladys.

 Bolt maintains the UK is open and thriving with 80% vaccinated a figure that doesn't include it's children who are currently ravaged by Covid. Israel which was said to be leading the world in vaccination and resulting devil may care  freedom is experiencing a massive 3rd surge in case numbers and an impact on it's health system so much so it's issuing booster shots that they can't guarantee will stem the rising spread of cases. Shops, businesses and citizens are voluntarily locking down. Is there any place that has had success in limiting the spread?

 Yes, Taiwan with strict restrictions. Restrictions as strict as Dan's who no doubt was  aware of their success. Success which Bolt conveniently fails to mention and ignores along with Israel's current failure and the UK's reversal. Bolt's argument simply doesn't hold up to any comparative scrutiny with other nations and in his ignorance is happy to see the least fortunate of us suffer because he believes he's one of the elect hidden away in his own private Bolt hole.

That they had the balls to fight for what they (he) believed as those young Islamists did. If that isn't a cry in support of incorrect violence what is?

The SAS hasn't been disbanded it exists and will continue to. It is doing it's job "some members" however have been accused by their own team of war crimes who provided evidence to be tested in our courts. The duty and charter of journalism is to report news information and the facts not hide or filter it and that's exactly what the ABC is doing, when reporting the allegations made. The total audience, watching the Bolt Report in a week, is lucky to be 25% of what the free to air stations capture each night. Bolt's been going backwards since he lost the patronage of Tony Abbott.

Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese's "modus operandi" is "to do nothing" and be an invisible target. "He doesn't want to win the policy war," Mr Kroger told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. "He wants to run dead on every issue and hope the government expires". 

It seems that Kroger and Bolt don't dare mention what has been going on in Morrison's Government which is on the verge of going down like the Hindenberg. The only voters Morrison can appeal to are  the ones in the center that determine the outcome of elections and to say "they are only left and never going to vote for him anyway" only makes sense if your an extreme right-winger and a small minority in Australia. So what the fuck is she doing on any screen? It's the reason Morrison has nothing to do with the Bolt Report because it's ignorant of politics, news, information and lacks any mainstream common sense.

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says either the Queensland Premier is in charge of a contact tracing system "so incompetent" it needs to impose a 72-hour snap lockdown on its citizens, or politicians are yet again "covering their backsides by overreacting". Mr Bolt said Australian taxpayers should not reward state governments for snap lockdowns, stating "if Queensland voters support their government panicking like this, then let Queensland voters pay for it". "You see, today was the day the JobKeeper scheme ended. The scheme pumped $90 billion into the business of bosses to keep their workers in jobs. No more. Let the Queensland government now subsidise the businesses it is destroying," he said. "Is this Queensland government seriously saying – four more sick people, two already in isolation – our contact tracers can't possibly deal with that many. Is the Queensland premier really in charge of a contact tracing system that is so incompetent? "Or is this in fact politicians yet again covering their backsides by overreacting, knowing that they've got voters so terrified they'll accept almost anything?"

Typical Bolt while the rest of the world  praises Australia for it's handling of the pandemic and our ability to keep death and spread at bay. While Australia praises Qld for it's vigilance on behalf of us all Bolt is fundamentally arguing for profit and convenience over death and virus spread. 

JobKeeper and corporate welfare has ended but until we are all vaccinated lockdowns are advisable. But Bolt wants the workers back now doing the heavy lifting and ensuring he isn't inconvenienced.

 The "contact tracing system" he claims is so "incompetent" is a system that has been applied and has worked more successfully that in any other advanced country. Crying Wolf and that the sky is falling in Qld seems moronic. Our economy hasn't stalled according to Frydenberg. He budgeted for $140 bill and spent $90bill. So once again it seems an excuse  to not mention Morrison should extend JobKeeper until we have been vaccinated or not mention the past six weeks of watching the Morrison government sink. Qld is Labor so kick it. The LNP is 4 point's behind Labor in the polls and was trashed in W.A. The US actually has a visible presence in 84% of the worlds 154 nations. Also an invisible one with 60,000 special forces unaccounted for. The Southern sunbelt has swung against him Georgia, Arizona etc demographic has changed and attracted educated people and will continue to do so in the years to come. Allowing the poorest immigrants in only assists the Democrats because the Republicans are shrinking their base. As long as they have the Filibuster and voter suppression laws in place they are comfortable in being a minority. They know that can gridlock legislation as long as they all vote for what's best for the Party and not America.

Monday must be Cousens'Day it's certainly not Bolt's. Bolt hasn't said or done anything since Thursday. He's a true blue unessential worker and gets paid for non production. He's a reflection and amplification of Cultural Capitalism an opiate. A Millionaire working for Billionaires yes, a worker, if he could be called that, whose product is worthless to 98% of the population. 

There is only one Trump as there was only one Archie Bunker and only one Roseanne, all entertainers. The reason Bolt and Cousens are cheering is the attention Trump draws to himself stops people from analyzing them. Their ratings are dependant not of their personal skills but the corporate decisions networks make. Trump won't have 81M followers on social media because the Republican Party is shrinking and he shafted a great percentage of his base already. Only Murdochians and the worst of the worst will still be cheering him on because Trump justified their existense. However the corporate flow of money won't be coming their way either. A nation of different races,religions and what Bolt likes to call opposing 'tribes'. Here he is claiming systemic "victimhood" against whites dominates all Western Institutions Bolt's simple rhetoric reverses everything particularly the privileged, poor, white, christian rich who are left to suffer but be compensated with wealth and power and corporate welfare and protection. 

According to Bolt protesters are in danger of "showing how weak they are". Yet isn't he just doing that protesting"anti-white racism"? Isn't his crying showing us how pathetic he really is. Ignorant of the concepts of racism, power, tribalism and how they operate in reality. Basically Bolt's failure is to communicate but in doing so expresses the fear of the privileged.

They are Higgins  and  Tame revealing the truth of the Firm.

Oprah has shown up the media ethics demonstrated by Murdoch and shown the have none. Now that Trump has gone and ratings are booming at CNN  Murdoch has turned to investing in online gambling because he knows he is a small fry in entertainment compared to Netflix and Google. His pretense at being  a News provider is patently bullshit and  little more than a grab for money. Will they be asking Facebook and Google to give them money for this trash, calling it news?
