Yes, Bolt's modelled himself on Bill O'Reilly who also shows his racist credentials. Bolt talks of children and excessive compassion and we have seen over time of what it is he thinks of them if they are migrants, refugees, coloured, not Christian, from a different culture, indigenous, fundamentally not like him or his kids. Differences in any one or more combinations spell danger for Andrew Bolt. A danger, a paranoia to blow out of proportion scaremonger about particularly if any one of these goes off the rails. 

Indigenous Australian children were shown compassion by people like Bolt once which he'd like practised more. They were removed in their thousands from their families because people like Bolt said it was for their betterment. Have you noticed Bolt rarely asks who actually benefited, the outcome no but he will readily tell you it was good?  He will point out that not enough was done because 66% of Indigenous Australians remain unassimilated culture-bound and irresponsible, and he points to Adam Goodes as proof.

 Do you ever hear Bolt talk about the systemic lockout these kids and their families experienced.? The minute a European refugee got off a boat, banks were there to offer them loans jobs and various other forms of assistance that would lock them into the system of financial debt called betterment and capital gains. Indigenous Australians were locked out; they didn't get equal pay, bank loans for a house and education. Bolt's lazy answer blame them.

We have seen just how Indigenous Australia's first refugees have been locked out of the system for 100s of years generation after generation and Bolt blames their culture and themselves for their personal history of irresponsibility. Even convicts having served their time were welcomed into Australian society.  Bolt never speaks of his responsibility to ensure the inclusiveness by merit. Yes, he mythologises about it but avoids the reality because it's more who you know and not what and more manageable if you're white. Many of the refugees that come here are better educated, better skilled speak more languages and far better experienced than Bolt and his children. Yet, while he too was the son of economic refugees less excluded from opportunity as are indigenous Australians even today he has the ignorance to sing "who let them in" of others simply because "they aren't like us". He' does it and  his greatest shame he's prepared to do it to individuals cases of children to further generalise and avoid the more pressing questions of our responsibility

There has been more violence and death caused by criminals who are white Christian and wear in suits like Bolt that have caused economic terror on a mass scale and continue to do on industrial levels who have gone unchecked. Yet Bolt points out 4 very different people and amplifies them to generalise negatively to communities they might or might not have ever been a part of. He tears down those that actually have succeeded Yassmin Abdel Magied Waleed Aly have all felt his spite. There are people like Ita's Buttrose's nephew, drug dealer. Loan sharks who prey on the poor. Whole industries that have killed people through criminal actions that have gone unprosecuted. Many more dangerous people who look like Andrew Bolt than they do some 60 Australian orphans that are a danger to Australis. In fact, Andrew Bolt has assisted in grooming some like the Christchurch mass shooter, and we let him continue to get away with it.

 

DUTTON: TURNBULL OFFERED ME BISHOP'S JOB

Malcolm Turnbull's fast-shrinking friendship group will shrink again once Bishop reads this: "Peter Dutton [said] Mr Turnbull offered him the role of deputy Liberal leader in favour of Julie Bishop [during Dutton's leadership challenge]. 'I said to him, given what had just taken place, that wasn’t credible and it wasn’t his to gift either.'”

The nerve being, what Andrew Bolt didn't point out that the costs of Nuclear energy are totally overpriced, and the very opposite of what Bolt argues for energy. Yes, a Bently does get people from A to be but at what cost?
Barry's botched attack on Credlin wasn't that botched when you consider Adani is divesting away from coal in India and is one of the country's biggest investors in renewables. Nor did Credlin mention India is spending 50:50 on renewables and coal and has in 2 years raised its energy output via renewables to the almost the largest in the world and at the same time reduced the costs to less than coal. Nothing mentioned about this by Credlin's Adani advertorial. It was all spin no information by Sky as per "what do you expect"?

Christian Lobby throws $100k into new Folau fund

The Australian Christian Lobby will kick off the relaunch of Israel Folau's crowd-sourced fighting fund as soon as today to the tune of $100k so they say.

The ACL is big on the talk but weak when it comes to the walk pledging 3% of Folau's fighting fund and trying to grab a huge chunk of the political publicity for itself in return. Even worse is Andrew Bolt throwing zip into the fund and trying to grab the publicity and ratings for himself. 

Sky and News Corp sell themselves to advertisers based on those ratings. How much revenue does one think Bolt's 160,000 a week National audience brings Sky in terms of $$? What does it cost to produce his little show for 4 nights? It hardly seems worth the effort flogging Australia as a Christian Nation given the paltry sum he and the ACL have put in to fund Folau and the marriage equality vote was a commanding 70+% yes.

One fact seems to be overlooked; however, Folau might be a Christian and anti-gay but not all Christians or Christian organisations are. It seems another case of the tail trying to wag the dog.

But I simply want to make the point that I don’t remember most of the free speech warriors who are telling us that Israel Folau has a right to tweet whatever he wants because of his religious beliefs were strangely silent when McIntyre was sacked.

GoFundMe BANS CHRISTIAN FOLAU, APPROVES MOSQUE

GoFundMe has banned a fundraising page for Israel Folau, sacked for quoting the Bible's teaching on gays. It says "we do not tolerate the promotion of discrimination or exclusion", yet discriminates against and excludes this Christian. More hypocrisy: GoFundMe allows fundraising for an Islamic Centre. Has it seen Islam's preaching on gays?

On the one hand religious bodies (ie Catholic Church) are petitioning for the right to 'hire and fire' those they deem 'unfit to employ' and yet are up in arms when Rugby Australia 'appear' to be doing the same thing? 
Andrew Bolt has spent a lot of energy helping remove people from their jobs Yassmin Abdel- Magied for one What is a Hypocrite who can't admit to his own Hypocrisy? Andrew Bolt shows himself to be one of the biggest of those in his purported defence of Folau under his right to free speech. I can't recall him defending Yassmin that way, can you? Bolt calls himself Australian and climbs on his very un-Aussie moral high horse showing yet again his distaste for this country.
 He's just returned from holidaying in the Socialist Netherlands where his arguments in favour of the ACL Folau and Mosques would be simply laughed at for their hypocrisy. Australia is a diverse, multicultural and tolerant Nation. Bolt's and the ACL minority might capture the soundbites but not the spirit of the majority. The fact that they don't make them hypocrites maintaining they are the voice and spirit of the majority.
 Firstly Folou's action on social media was really "trolling" and went against his contract with the NRL. Secondly, he openly vilified a minority and defended his vilification of gays in the community on religious grounds. When"The sciences of biology, anthropology, zoology and human psychology all confirm that same-sex orientation is fixed, natural, healthy, occurs throughout nature, is confined to a discrete percentage of the population and poses no threat to anyone. Simultaneously, the religious disciplines of biblical scholarship, linguistics, theology, church history and pastoral studies are guiding a parallel reformation within the religious communities."
Filou isn't the victim here, in fact, he's the voice of systemic oppression against gays that's been employed for centuries but never more so than in a society that disallowed same gender sex and marriage of gays because it endangered the structure inheritance and  property laws that provided for the maintenance of class and wealth in society.
But the greater hypocrisy is Bolt's suggesting an equivalence between raising money to build a Mosque, Folau's $3mill funding of his case against the NRL, but more so Go Fund Me's recognition of a difference between the two that Bolt tries to demands doesn't exist. The building of a Mosque isn't an act of vilification Folau's is and Andrew Bolt's declaring him a victim of some left movement is an act of denial that extreme Christianity like Folau's is, in fact, an act of ultra-conservative oppression of others when the fact is not all Christianity is."Churches which now accept same-sex marriage include the United and Anglican Churches of Canada, the Episcopal Church in the USA, the Uniting Church in Australia, the Anglican Church in New Zealand, the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, the Episcopal Anglican Church of Brazil, the Church of England, the Church of Denmark, The Church of Iceland, The Church of Sweden, the Scottish Episcopal Church and most Lutheran, United and Reformed Protestant churches in the UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland and Italy.

Another media Left fail. No, Israel Folau has public support not for being anti-gay, but for standing against bullies. The latest evidence: GoFundMe's ban on Folau has backfired, with more money now raised for Folau in one day than he got in four days on GoFundMe.

All the laughter in the world generally comes from hypocrites and Bolt is one of the biggest. The fact is now evident that this is less of a religious event than a political one. The ACL wouldn't hesitate to fire someone for disagreeing with them Folau church would claim the right to kick someone out who disagreed with their beliefs. Yet they claim Israel has been persecuted. All the Ho Ho-ing by Bolt doesn't prove he's right or anything GoFundMe's is wrong. 70% of Australia still voted for Marriage Equality that doesn't mean that 30 % voted against it or that the ACL really donated anything to the cause. I'm sure Bolt shared the cost as he has done by "investing" in Coal and so many other things he says he champions.
The man on Manus that set himself alight will not be treated as mentally ill but charged instead with attempted suicide guess that's under the advice of the Australian Homeland Minister. Isn't that somehow a thought crime he's being charged for? Where is Bolt jumping to defend him? It seems Dutton's compassion is showing.
 

The people have spoken, and now Folau should listen.

Not afraid of 'getting Yassmin-ed'? You're probably white

Not all Australians have the same access to free speech. Don't believe me? Just look at what happened to Yassmin Abdel-Magied. And Adam Goodes. And Yumi Stynes. And, probably one day, to me, writes Sami Shah

Most people of colour working in Australian media understand that term. And almost all of us know it's only a matter of time before it happens to us.
Getting Yassmin-ed is that visceral experience of discovering that access to free speech is not equally divided amongst all Australians, and the consequences of transgression are more severe for some than others.
If you still don't know what it means, here's some context.
On Anzac Day two years ago, a young Sudanese-Australian mechanical engineer, broadcaster and writer, Yassmin Abdel-Magied, put up a seven-word Facebook post: "LEST. WE. FORGET. Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine."
And — despite the fact that she amended the words and quickly apologised — Australia lost its collective mind.

FRAN KELLY PUSHES FAKE NEWS ON 'DROWNING KIRIBATI'

How often does ABC warming crusader Fran Kelly need to be told the truth before she admits it? Today she again interviews a former president of Kiribati on Radio National Breakfast about the danger of global warming - and again falsely claims Kiribati is drowning. The science says the opposite. Is Kelly ignorant or deliberately hiding the truth?

Repetition, repetition, repetition, Bolt's lazy way of debating climate change. He also repeated for over a decade the same deniers mantra that the planet was cooling because Roy Spencer said so. He's gone silent on that issue but never once said he was wrong.

Bolt keeps pushing research by NZ Professor Kench on Kiribati as if people from Kiribati face a false problem which is, in fact, a warming deniers false flag, simplistic and incomplete in its assumptions as Dr Kench explained. His research which was based on the historical data of the past 40 years and not on current evidence which in all possibilities has and will change again in the next 40. Kench certainly doesn't say that the changes will or make the islands more livable but merely better adaptable. In fact, he wasn't prepared to support what Andrew Bolt insists is fact, that land growth and livability are in any way connected, but dislocation is a more likely outcome. 

Bolt, we must remind ourselves of, insisted the planet was cooling and had not been warming since1998, and he has never said he was wrong. However, he has since admitted at odd moments it has really been warming. One only ever gets the sense that Bolt 1) doesn't know what he's talking about and 2) is cherry-picking data to run an argument that suits him and is totally out of sync with, the global research and the discipline of Climate Science. One fact is real that it's easy to find scientists, not specialists mind you, in the field to deny what 97% of science agrees upon. What is ensured that dissident minority get more publicity than the majority? It was a tactic employed by Big Tobacco and readily taken up by private media like News Corp for the sole purpose of profit.

Fran Kelly isn't ignorant in the slightest she's not even judgemental like Bolt who actually once sold himself as a world authority on Climate Science in a book published by the IPA. Bolt by the way we are told is a high school graduate who never majored in the sciences that's how fanciful he in fact is. Island growth as Kench says does not in any way mitigate the future problems the nation's peoples face. 

" The pursuit of this and other alternate adaptation pathways does not negate the need to still vigorously support ongoing mitigation action to curtail future sea level impacts and climatic changes on small island nations or to undertake robust efforts to better define the constraints and thresholds of habitability (such as water resources and food supply) on atoll islands. Andrew Bolt has been inciting Islamophobia in Australia for over a decade resulting in the biggest mass shooting of Muslims in the Southern hemisphere. Bolt has raised anti- Muslim sentiment to record levels above that which exists in the EU, and here he is declaring egg throwing and act violence brought on by Robert di Natale. After Barcelona Bolt incited Christians to fight back with the conviction the young terrorists had. He even said he admired their strength of belief and wished Christians were the same.  Bolt ducked for cover and has since been running the Trump defence of equivalence that there is good an bad on both sides. I think shooting 51 Muslims in a mosque is somewhat different from throwing an egg.

If the Liberal Party don't want you to vote for Molan and remains so factionally divided after 6 years, and the ALP so united why vote Liberal at all? Bill Shorten is livid about the Daily Telegraph's front page today. Despite being a Telegraph columnist, I must say this: Shorten spoke truly when he said his mother sacrificed her dream to be a lawyer, taking up teaching to help her siblings. There is no invention here. That she decades later realised her dream does not negate that sacrifice.

Notice Bolt doesn't actually say what was so wrong with the Daily Telegraph's front page. He merely changes the words a little like the obit writer he still is. He says "despite being a DT writer" he has to say this which suggests he's somehow broken the Murdochian leash which he claims doesn't exist and he's free. Well, he was pretty pissed when Murdoch's lawyers didn't appeal his guilty finding handed down by Mordecai Bromberg. Yes, it appears he's on a short leash and even a shorter one recently.

He came and said there's good and bad on both sides and he was against violence. Basically doing a Trump about equivalence. So does the Times now take responsibility for the shooting at a California synagogue just two days after it published an anti-Semitic cartoon?

Here is Bolt accusing the NYT of what he's been regularly doing and on a much larger and intense scale for years raising the level of hatred of  Australian Muslims to a fever pitch after he saw how effective Alan Jones's call to war against the Lebanese was in Cronulla in 2005. The NYT ran a cartoon. Bolt has written and raised Caine against Muslims with hundreds no thousands of articles, radio commentaries, podcasts and TV editorials in what seems a concerted effort to create violence.  He was the voice of anti-Muslim sentiment for  Australia's largest media corporation. There is no equivalence between NYT's cartoon and Bolt, and he's accusing them of encouraging a specific hate crime.
Now in Sri Lanka, the family of a suicide bomber who helped kill 250 odd people and injure many more have pointed at Melbourne as the city in which Abdul Mahommed became radicalised. He spent 4 years as a student here at Swinburne. In a city where you can't escape Andrew Bolt's hate messages. Unlike Bolt's accusation of a single cartoon by the NYT might have been the cause of the shooting at the Californian Synagogue The Sri Lankan claim seems more likely as does the one about the Australian shooter in NZ particularly as Australia and Melbourne where Andrew Bolt exists as a version of anti- Islamic muzak.
 Is Bolt distracting and deflecting attention away from himself here by pointing at the NYT cartoon? Getting on the moral high ground won't save him. The level of anti- Islamic noise he's been involved in at the behest of News Corp, Sky News and 2 GB along with a chorus of others would make Melbourne seem the centre of radicalisation in the Southern hemisphere. They all ducked for cover however after Christchurch. Bolt was silent for three days coming out trying on Trump's equivalency defence of the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville that everybody is the same, and there's good and evil on both sides.
 Bolt's intent is radicalising and division no matter which side does something stupid as long as someone does erupt. So then it can be reported as evidence of fear and danger in the wider community, why? For the ultra-conservative political agenda that Abbott, Dutton and Morrison loved to create. News Corp's political, anti-Multicultural strategies are there to assist the ultra-conservative cabal of the IPA and the extreme right-wing of the LNP. They help the tail to wag the dog which has backfired. Have you noticed how Abbott has hardly been mentioned in any elections recently? Calling the NYT out is hardly the pot calling the kettle black  There isn't any equivalence or attention drawn away from what Andrew Bolt News Corp or Sky and what they did during Christchurch and for years before. They were being paid to stir the pot of hate and do it hard, and they did. Christchurch and SriLanka a consequence where Murdoch media's name is often raised now and will be associated with these events in years to come. Bolt can't escape that or his involvement in Islamophobia over the years. Bolt won't blame himself, will he? He won't even raise the issue of his responsibility but he will nevertheless point to others as a distraction.
Yet, it was Andrew Bolt who supported One Nation and condemned Al Jazeera capturing One Nation in the USA trying to raise money on the promise of softening our country's gun laws. How twisted is this man who will sell his soul for a few sheckles to support his and his masters ultra-conservative ideology. Bolt is closely connected to the IPA and works for News Corp and calls friens the most right-wing politicians like Tony Abbott we have who represent the most conservative elements in our Capitalist society.

Ranil Wickremesinghe told Guardian Australia that Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed, who undertook a postgraduate degree at Melbourne’s Swinburne University in 2009 and left the country in 2013, appeared to have been influenced by extremist ideas during that period.
“That’s how the family feel,” Wickremesinghe said at his prime ministerial residence in Colombo. “We know there is some militancy going on in Australia among the Muslims. Australia has been out there fighting [in the war on terror].”

On Tuesday, he had plowed into 8 people in an intersection in Sunnyvale, California, particularly aiming at a South Asian family who he assumed to be Muslims. They weren’t. The names indicate that they are Americans of Indian Hindu heritage (a minority in the US of about 1 million people). The veteran has been charged with a hate crime and with 8 counts of attempted murder.
Witnesses say that after his crime he acted strangely, saying “Thank God for giving me this opportunity!” and “I love you, Jesus, I love you, Jesus.”

The pen is mightier than a shoe or phone the violence more significant and in the case of the ultra-right more harmful. Both the voice of ISIS media and the sound of Andrew Bolt are evidence of this. They have hit their targets and have angered and radicalised people on both sides of the divide not matter which in the hope of making an impact of one sort or another to fuel hate and division in the communities they might reach. Throwing words to fuel violence and fear in communities where neither exists to promote division. They have been successful more than a phone. Bolt's also in the case of Israel lied and coloured stories to hide the violence that's being done. That's the ideal in Bolt's privatised world, isn't it? " Wouldn't it be easier to just scrap lots of the laws that have people suing each other? " Bolt.  Bolt, of course, has never needed to employ lawyers himself he's been protected by the News Corp guardians numerous times. In Bolt's ideal world the elite could sue each other. However, currently the wealth gap protects them from that action by the masses and as such ensures that their privileges aren't threatened by any court-ordered downward redistribution of money. Bolt has always felt unjustly set upon and blamed the AHRC for having him in an Australian courtroom charged and tried under the RDA's Sections 18 C&D. If the judge was sooo wrong why didn't his corporate lawyers appeal?
Bolt claims to be a "debater" "indigenous"  and that boat people aren't asylum seekers but are "illegals" where is the debate? It takes two people with a common language and understanding to debate. Debating has rules, it's why we have courts and tribunals. Bolt simply prefers to walk into the debating arena change the terms of reference talk gobblygook past his so-called opponent debaters and declares himself the winner. If there's any protest he transforms himself and says he's the victim. Reality facts and a search for truth become only incidental or accidental winners in the event. It's the Trump and Fox Bolt's nonsensical tag team that Bolt wants. The control of opinion to rule.
However, when someone holds more authority than Bolt the voice he folds like a cheap deck of cards. We saw that when he tried to convince ex-NZ PM James Bolger that was an Indigenous Australian unfairly treated and was laughed at. Bolt melted to silence on ABC TV's program Recognition Yes or No. The same occurred with the Fijian/Australian Constitutional lawyer. The KO when it comes to Andrew Bolt seems to be laughter. It's his glass jaw.
Has anybody noticed that Andrew Bolt has an overwhelming disrespect for all of Australia's Institutions? He used to say he was shy rather than remote, secluded. He felt more an alien in this country than the newly arrived and diverse in religion, language, colour gender and race immigrants glad and thankful to be here. He's not out for debate but vigilante bully boy justice why? Because persuaders given the resources in most circumstances believe they hold the power over facts data truth and so real justice can be set aside. Bolt, for instance, has preached Islam is dangerous not that we should debate it but that we ought to keep these potential terrorist Muslims out.  He's been banging on about it since Abbott became PM and Muslim hatred has escalated from 9% to 33%, why? Not because of any raw data but with the help of News Corp's campaign that in 2017 wrote 2850 anti-Muslim articles add Bolt's constant hate-speech which he calls "debate" along with Sky News and 2GB and you have an echo chamber of hatred spread across the country for the hope of a political pay off. However, that blew up in their conservative politician's faces didn't it?. However, at the same time, it denigrated shamed and told 3% of Australia they weren't wanted but we saw just how much energy is being poured into it. How many millions spent and invested in an effort to create a pushback that has been so minimal but ever so destructive.
Christians are victims Heterosexuals are victims, white males are victims, now what relevance to reality and facts does Bolt provide, none. None that are statistically relevant and not just cherry-picked yet what Bolt wants is "opinion" to be the arbiter, vigilante-style justice. However, Bolt needs to be careful because past records have shown him to be a shit poor influencer not well respected trusted and his opinion model of better justice just might come and bite him on the arse. He doesn't like the ABC, can't control social media and hates and feels threatened by the Sleeping Giants because they are focusing on changing Bolt's opinions by focusing on his and Skys advertisers while he cries foul.
 Imagine the AFL Grand Final being umpired by the crowd of 100,000 that's Bolt's better game Bolt's madness his Democracy is it any wonder James Bolger laughed at his nonsense? We all should.

Anzac Day, which is a very important day for my family, was always a day to remember all my father’s mates who didn’t make it home. But it was also a moment to ponder the horror of war more generally. But of late Anzac Day has become enshrouded in cant and entangled in dangerous myth. If this seems overstated ponder the bigoted bile that attended Yassmin Abdel-Magied’s tweet last Anzac Day in which she posted “LEST.WE.FORGET. (Manus, Nauru, Syria, Palestine ...)”
I read this as a plea for compassion drawing on the memory of a national trauma.
Most refugees on Manus Island and Nauru are fleeing war, Syria has half a million dead and more than 11 million people exiled internally and externally because of war, and Palestinians, whatever position one takes, suffer greatly from ongoing conflict.
And yet as the attacks on Abdel-Magied showed, some were seeking to transform Anzac Day into a stalking horse for racism, misogyny and anti-Islamic sentiment. For hate, intolerance and bigotry. For all those very forces that create war. The great disrespect to Anzac Day wasn’t the original tweet but the perverted attacks made on it, in, of all things, the name of the dead. Those who think they honour Anzac Day by forgetting contemporary victims of war only serve to make a tragic mockery of all that it should be.

We should, of course, question these things more. We could ask why – if we were actually genuine about remembering patriots who have died for this country – why would we not first spend $100m on a museum honouring the at least 65,000 estimated Indigenous dead who so tragically lost their lives defending their country here in Australia in the frontier wars of the 1800s? Why is there nowhere in Australia telling the stories of the massacres, the dispossession, and the courageous resistance of these patriots?
The figure of 65,000, I should add, is one arrived at by two academics at the University of Queensland and applies only to Indigenous deaths in Queensland. If their methodology is correct, the numbers for the Indigenous fallen nationally must be extraordinarily large.

As one prominent commentator noted, “Individually and collectively, it was sacrifice on a stupendous scale. We should be a nation of memory, not just of memorials, for these are our foundation stories. They should be as important to us as the ride of Paul Revere, or the last stand of King Harold at Hastings, or the incarceration of Nelson Mandela might be to others.”
The commentator was Tony Abbott, announcing the French museum, speaking of the dead of world war one.
And yet how can his argument be said not to also hold for the Indigenous dead? After all, Sir John Monash became a great military leader in spite of considerable prejudice. And so too Pemulwuy and Jundamurra.
Of course, such a reasonable and necessary proposal as a museum for the Indigenous fallen would at first be greeted with ridicule and contempt. Because in the deepest, most fundamental way we are not free of our colonial past. Freedom exists in the shadow of memory. For Australia to find out what freedom means it has to face up to the truth of its past. And it’s time we decided to accept what we are and where we come from, because only in that truth can we finally be free as a people.

Bolts editorial bemoans the fact that Banks have been stupid enough to admit massive wrong doings  done to hundreds ot thousands of clients dead and alive to the Royal Commission. Without directly so he bemoans the fact that the current government has put them in this invidious position of having to tell the truth. Bolt can't call any of this fake news as much as he would like to. He tries even today to claim that the lack of findings into the Royal Commission into Unions flpped and now the Capitalists News Corp's bread and butter have shot themselves
So in old fashion terms of terms he's set to do some very unsubtle media damage control on their behalf. So forget the fact the fact that "the Capitalists" have kicked an own goal. Forget the fact that if the banks have admitted to  corrupt practises that all sectors of coorporate finance and business also  operate in the same manner as banks and that corruption and criminal practices are in fact institutionalised and have been since Christ threw the dealers out of the temple.
No Bolt changes direction and bemoans the fact that this Royal Commission has given a gift to not the ALP but the Unions and together they will use it for the detriment of Australia. Nothing about the  the systemic detriment capitalists do. 
It seems the public don't have a right don;t have to be angry even if they are only the 10%-15% of the swinging voters. The fact is they are  most likely to be the middle class those that have been ripped off by the banks  and have been for years. They aren't likely to be unionists anyway. They know what the banks have been doing, they have complained and they have watched the LNP refuse to do anything about it and the Conservatives in the LNP the most vocal, Tony Abbott the loudest. Imagine if this Commission encourages and enquiries into all the corporate sectors Insurance, Big Pharma, Construction Accounting etc etc . What will the current government do?After all we are getting  glimpses into live animal export and into  the work for the dole scheme ? Michaelia Cash refusing  to realease the reports of a two year investigation into deaths in the work for the dole scheme. She is telegraphing the model of lack of tranparancy this government prefers
Bolt's banging a very old beware of the unions drum talking about 30 years ago simply to draw attention away from what's being revealed today and I'm sure the ultra conservatives will try to provoke the 8% of Australians in unions to strike and act. I doubt Bolt will be that trigger
But I'm also sure the unions and the public have a better grasp of historical truths that amplify the need for unions. But moreso the need for union representation on corporate boards like Germany to protect consumers and ordinary Australians from the criminal actions being revealed today. Practicle changes are required far more than Bolt's media distraction of traditional muckraking propaganda. 
Yes we had a Royal Commission into the Corruption in the Unions and what actually came out of it were some misuse of petty cash claims about some $13,000. Misuse of credit cards and Tony Abbott's Joan of Arc was found to be an imbezzeler informer turning out to be a complete liar to save her arse. I'm afraid Bolt's trying to piss on a bush fire and he's doing in a color and tie
