Andrew Bolt's Blog, 14/2/18; The Shovel; Informed Comment so not by Andrew Bolt obviously; Israeli Police call for Bolt's hero Netanyahu to be charged for corruption;

Malcolm Turnbull has moved to clear up any confusion about the meaning of the word ‘partner’, after earlier claiming that Barnaby Joyce’s girlfriend was exempt from nepotism regulations because they were not technically partners at the time.
Mr Turnbull said that, where he was from, a partner was always defined as ‘A senior position within a legal, accounting or financial practice, traditionally indicating co-ownership or equity’.
“As far as I can tell, Ms Campion is not involved in any of those professions, and so I’m really not sure why people are referring to her as a partner,” Mr Turnbull said.
“It does a disservice to the men and women of Minter Ellison, of Allens Arthur Robertson, of Mallesons, who have spent years working their way up the ladder, to all of a sudden attach the term ‘partner’ to a woman who is basically just a well-paid social media coordinator”.
Asked to use the term in a sentence, Mr Turnbull said, “Malcolm was a partner in global financial firm Goldman Sacs, and later sold his shares for an undisclosed sum”.

Why are our politicians held to much lower

Why are our politicians held to much lower standards than the rest of us?
In what workplace would the married boss promoting his pregnant girlfriend be acceptable?
In what workplace would there be so little transparency about the employment, duties and remuneration of staff?
In what workplace would it be acceptable to tell blatant lies about the state of the company?
In what workplace would it be acceptable to turn up drunk?
Imagine how it would go down with the ATO if I tried to claim my attendance at a colleague’s wedding as a work expense.  Or if I claimed for publications that have absolutely nothing to do with my work.

While 'Not the Worst' of His Crimes, Israeli Police Call for Indicting Netanyahu on Corruption Charges

Observers note Israel "won't put him on for war crimes and crimes against humanity, but hey, guess it's something."
The recommendations on Tuesday will now go to the attorney general, who will decide whether to prosecute him or not.
"Police allege Netanyahu received champagne, cigars, jewellery and clothing valued at around $280,000, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported."
Case 2000, involves allegations that Netanyahu tried to come to a deal for positive coverage in the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, in exchange for weakening its rival, Israel Hayom.

Alleged terror stabber's sister attacked police with knife

When we can't get the records of our own politicians like Barnaby Joyce's  correct who are we to blame. His Nationality and his Army record were wrong. So how can we expect Dutton's new Homeland Department will get it right from here on in?

An international student who allegedly stabbed a man in Melbourne home linked to a terror organisation by her sister was given a 5-star rating.
Conservatives like Dutton tend to the wholesale blaming  Islam and all Muslims for events like this when they don't do the same for Christian inspired cases. MSM amplify the circumstance, however, offer little context. The real failure, however, is ASIO and Immigration that seem unable to do their job of informed checks on who it is applying for a visa. Given the family record, it couldn't have been that hard to discover the sister's past after all the media has in a very short period of time.
Apparently, in this case, the wealthy and the elite of Bangladesh or any other country there isn't considered any need for the closer supervision and rejection lesser people on the social ladder get. This failure on the part of what is now known as Dutton's Homeland Department. There is no justification for the wholesale banning of immigrants when the biggest failure is, in fact, is ours. We let Milo in knowing full well he's here to stir up trouble and cost us.  We fail to advertise jobs for Australians and create problems and corporate scams associated with 457 Visa's which have been blatantly misused. Basically, it's our incompetence that's the problem and not the victims of it such as those on Manus and Nauru. Bolt will nevertheless call for a blanket ban.
