So does Bolt see himself delivering the Crispin day speech or Abbott? Rallying the troops to Iraq to fight the good fight against all odds as they wave them goodbye at the airport. Last words heard said "Shit Happens". Have another drink Bolt your in the bleachers as far away from the battlefield as anybody could get.
Every politician has his day. Remember the day The PM of Australia stood dumb, remained silent and refused to say anything to a journalist on TV. Silence for over a minute, that went around the world. Bill Shorten kept talking our PM Abbott stood in silence looking like a moron. That will be with him well after he's gone. But in Abbott's words which also went around the world "shit happens" Bolt's obviously just a cheerleader who gets hysterical whether winning or losing, a headbanger.
Could anybody expect any less from this right wing government bent on megalomaniac control of our lives? $104 mill dollars nice work if you can get it. However I presume the Australia Council is about to be given it's marching orders after 20 + years in the same fashion as the Climate Council. Remember when the LNP screamed at the purchase of Blue Poles an approved purchase in 1973 by Whitlam for over 1mill. Today it's a centerpiece of the National Galleries Collection .
George Brandis is noted for buying an over priced $15,000 bookcase into which he put books he was never going to read. It was his form of aesthetics. A custom built case that couldn't be moved into his new AG office and one the new occupier had no need for. It's now a case of whereabouts unknown. Is this who we want to manage $104 mill on arts projects? Bolt says he trusts Brandis not only with Art decisions but the bank more than he does the current peer-reviewed board. However why? Maybe Corporations need to do away with their governing boards and operate on this one man model .
Can we expect less? The LNP since election hasn't set about making friends. On the contrary they have deliberately intended to change the culture of all our institutions, boards and committees. Often for no other reason than they were appointed by the previous government or suspected friends. Abbott's notion is to wipe out all progressive thinking even in the Arts. Can you imagine if he appointed Bolt as the art buyer? Leonard Joels and John A would have a field day.

What specific accusations can Bolt direct at the Australia Council other than spiteful imaginings that their private lives might reveal. He's got their emails. Remember his outrage when Barry Spurr's emails became public. Is he suggesting these people don't qualify in their varied expertise in the Arts just because of some associations and emails that offend him? There's something sick in the pleasure Bolt get's in reading these emails as if they are a revealing sexual discovery that might excite others as much as it does him.

says Bolt in a lather. He asks " And what exactly have we been getting for all those millions in grants?" He hasn't a clueor any thing specific to say. He's like a flasher an excited inspector Clouseau about to orgasm.
All this rush of blood little to do with excellence, it's just political revenge maybe the waving of good bye to Blue Poles why? Because of it's Whitlam connection and what can't be denied according to Bolt "The ideological credentials, however, cannot be questioned."
Therefore the need to change for Abbott's LNP is no other reason than to actually prevent possibility of economic change and the way we structurally relate to make it happen. For that they need to capture our culture as well. Plato recognized this but unfortunately was a pessimist.

Whoever said Abbott doesn't try to say the correct things. He's a politician and when his lips move you know he's lying. Why? His history when someone says the correct thing once in every 10 times you get used to the fact that he can't be believed. Exceptions actually highlight the rule. Unlike Bolt's scientific reasoning where miracles and the exceptions are the rule. It's this logic Bolt applies to Climate,Muslims,Indigenous,the LNP, etc etc etc. It's basically a failures logic heaven help his kids if that's what he teaches them. Real logic diminishes hate, love luck and irrational gambling by management of statistical probability. It leaves religious hysteria, luck and coin flipping to the likes of Bolt.
What was more relevant in the ABC interview was General Morrison's view of the war against IS which was going to be long. We don't even understand what it is we are up against he said or what the outcomes will be. Hardly what Abbott has told us with his "death cult" "degrade and defeat" sloganeering. The General also said there will never be a military solution to IS which is quite the reverse of Abbott.
He even said the AZACS are a myth and clearly not true and are as such a double edged sword when it came to army recruitment. something else you wont hear from Abbott.

Telling the government what it should be doing when hiring and firing. He is the "I" "I" "I" of print media. Aside from that he advises on music, the visual arts & even where to dine. He is such a try hard
By the way there are no left wing journalists at news.com.au it's Murdoch owned. Is that why you don't name the journalist or journalists concerned or is it just because they also churn?
Further I notice the government left the ABC standing outside in the cold last night. Now that is gamesmanship when the peoples media are left uninformed and News Corp has privy to the warmth of the hall.
Australia is such a small place in the bolt world once you eliminate the left and all his despised minorities it really is an elitist enclave in his mind and more protected with the this increased budget for Defense and National Security. The majority, the rabble can be monitored and eliminated with the stroke of a pen if need be. All sent somewhere.
