Donald Trump sinks to new low with Megyn Kelly insult

Fox News created Trumps success in the polls by giving Trump almost if not more than twice the airtime than any other nominee. Roger Ailes isn't stupid he'd take Trumps money and encourage him to spend more. However Murdoch and Ailes bat for the Republicans. Trump burnt himself at the Republican debate by declaring not to guarantee to run as an independent if he wasn't their nominee.

In no way did Trump insult Megyn Kelly during the debate that for starters was Bolt Bull. Whatever he said after to other media is another kettle of fish. But he didn't do it during the debate. What Trump did say during the debate was how easily politicians can be bought and made dance through hoops by oligarchs like himself. In fact they were all there singing and dancing to Murdoch and Roger Ailes's tune. One thing is certain however Ted Cruz Bolt's favorite didn't win the night.

" After a day of escalating hostility, Trump took his attacks on Kelly to the next level on Friday night, apparently insinuating that the moderator had been menstruating"

Bolt is feigning blistering anger particularly over something Trump didn't say and if these are Bolt's imaginings they are thoughts from the gutter. It's where we often see Bolt play. Trump did point out just how rehearsed Kelly's questions were and questions she didn't initiate. All she was doing was reading from a script which was the truth. It's much the same as you find Andrew Bolt each Sunday on the Bolt Report the plastic fantastic. I don't think Bolt was offended by Trump downgrading Kelly it was more to do with the fact he was downgrading Fox News.

Right-wing opinionistas?

Very few Media of any kind pay Andrew Bolt attention as much as News Corp itself does.

Sydney Swans champion Adam Goodes set to return to senior AFL footy today, the racists who hounded him from the field are being named at last.

John Pilger – Episode 12

the role of the corporate media in manufacturing narratives, its relationship to capitalism and commodification, and the importance of independent media to pierce through the propaganda.

If cash were no object - fantasy bidding at the Deutscher and Hackett auction

Just goes to show how rude Bolt is in person Craig suggests Bolt look at Lot 24. Bolt makes no effort to show what Craig is even talking about he just brushes him aside in a rush to show his favorites.  A man who only affects manners but is really a boor underneath.

More affectation by Bolt  it's all about him. "Note: yes, I know there are better investments and perhaps works that would have better advertised me as someone of taste."

Abbott’s strategy emerges, but the grumblers still need dealing with

Link News Corps Paywall Dennis Shanahan

" There is a strategy slowly settling into place," Yes a bundle of 3 word slogans are coming. "but there are also bad polls, stumbles, grumbles and white-anting. Above all, there is unemployment at 6.3 per cent." Abbott is currently trying to remember them

"Senior Liberals still say Abbott is not listening to a broad-enough range of advice and making political mistakes as a result."  ... Nothings changed.

"the Coalition still lacks an attack dog, or a strategy, to run such assaults." Bringing in Tony Nutt is "Dumb and in part malevolent."

" the Bishop matter has exposed a bad media and political strategy to deal with. Nor are we seeing any more selling of Abbott the person."

Who needs enemies with friends like this??

Obama’s insane war talk - as phoney as his Iran deal

Link Greg Sheridan via Peter of BH bolt's Troll

" Continued and intensified sanctions, coupled with comprehensive arms and technology embargoes, offered the best chance of seriously delaying and perhaps preventing a nuclear-armed Iran."

Sheridan might be declared a moderate compared to Bolt's Tea Party cry to bomb Iran. We have a trade embargo on Nth Korea what has that achieved? We don't have one on China and we seem to trust them blindly. We confected Iraq's  ownership of WMDs and went to war resulting in today's mess and the creation of ISIS.

Keeping Iran in a state of poverty and degradation according to Sheridan is the way to the future suspicion and mistrust is the best diplomacy Cold War with Russia also needs to be restarted in order to ingratiate ourselves. Iran has endured unemployment and death by 1000 cuts and Sheridan cries for more. How is it this brilliant formulaic approach wasn't applied to Japan and Germany after WW2? How is it we are trading with Vietnam? More to the point how is it we can trust Iran with the lives and the return of 1000 asylum seekers but can't for a moment trust them in any other way?

"
In light of the fact that Israel is in possession of at least 200 (surreptitiously-built) nuclear warheads, and considering the reality that, according to both US and Israeli intelligence sources, Iran neither possesses nor pursues nuclear weapons, the relentless hysterical campaign by Israel and its lobby against the Iran nuclear deal can safely be characterized as the mother of all ironies—a clear case of chutzpah."Behind Israel’s Hysterical Opposition to the Iran Nuclear Deal

Why gag debate? Why the fear? Why the intolerance?

Link News Corps Sky News

Reverse Racism, Reverse bigotry in same sex marriage. Flipping the argument and crying victim when old arguments start to fade. When power fades the bullies cry foul. When the majority becomes the new minority the cry for the equal time they never allowed those before them. Sad no as it no longer serves the community spirit they endorsed earlier. History shines the light on the current conservative hypocrisy.

We’ll be skint for skinks

Link Steve Skates Catallaxy Files IPA Abbott's favorite not pejoratively titled hard right think tank, Link Quadrant so we have a double barreled right wing media shot across Australia's bows. Link Peter of BH Troll

Firstly where would we be without the rule of Law? let's scrap the native species protection laws altogether. Let's scrap all enviroment protection laws they just get in the way of development.

Abbott didn't say he was the saviour of 100 million Indians as Skate claims. If it's such an urgent mission why is Modi the PM of India raising the tax on imported coal? If these people were as desperate as Saint Tony says why isn't directing his invective at the Indian PM?

Bolt expects newspapers to be commentators like himself if they print news and information they are natural allies of the forces of evil and left wing insurgents. Has anybody considered why the CBA has pulled out of this deal. Does anybody on the right even want to reflect on Adani's track record as a polluter and destroyer of the quality of peoples lives in India? Why would one expect him to change his ethics here?

“These comments demonstrate a lack of understanding of the independent role of the courts in our democracy,” she said."NSW Bar Association president Jane Needham, SC

Obviously reason turns to personal abuse when Bolt and his Troll run out of logical puff.

To Peter Hartcher, everything not Green must seem “hard Right”

Link SMH

Bolt's editors must have told him he'd been screaming at News Corp colleagues for personal reasons for far too long and had taken his eye off the ball. It's time to get over the perceived personal sleight and once again turn his affected bluster against the opposition Peter Hartcher.

Here is the king of false apologies Andrew crocodile tears Bolt accusing a journalist of owing some apology for something we all know is true. Tony Abbott declaration that he feels uncomfortable among gays. When he said this he didn't mean his sister.

The " pejoratively titled “hard Right” " unfortunately have lost touch with the mood of the  electorate it's what Waleed Aly  said in his last opinion piece as well.  Bolt simply missed the point at the time so involved was he  getting out his personal  racist anti-recognition rant.

The electorate certainly is anti carbon emissions and pro Renewables, is pro same sex marriage and pro recognition. If Abbott  believes these are vote winning issues he seems to have lost the plot. He's PM and our leader employed to give us service and not just service us at every opportunity.

Pyne’s perk

Links SMH, News Corp Paywall, News Corp Paywall, But where is Abbott and what has he to say?

Is Bolt now about to call for Pyne's resignation as well? Does Abbott want this to be run down by Bolt to save face? Never mind whose hurt as long as mud doesn't stick to him personally. Is what we are seeing the PMO directing from behind the curtain?

Shorten faces new grilling as investigators dig

Link The Age But where is Tony Abbott.

Bolt turns to the Age for his information. The very left wing opposition  news paper he continually says can't be trusted due to it's bias. Strange he should be quoting it now and taking it's word so seriously. Is this just another Bolt distorted  cut and paste?  With Tony Abbott hidden away again Bolt needs a distortion, a deflection or an attention grabber to keep the spot light off the PM. Did you notice Bolt totally avoided the polls this time round because because our charismatic PM lost ground yet again. Six months have gone by and his poll standing is as bad as it was when the Liberal Back Bench gave him some breathing space.

"In 2005, the AWU signed a landmark workplace agreement on EastLink that cut standard industry conditions established by rival, the CFMEU, and delivered savings of as much as $100 million to Thiess John Holland."

This would seem a positive outcome for Holland wouldn't it? What's puzzling is the fact if Hollands had such a positive outcome why are they considered the victim?  When George Herscu was fined and jailed the industry was being investigated not just the unions. Have Holland's executives been offered a deal?

"Mr Shorten responded to more than 900 questions at Tony Abbott's royal commission.  Despite the fact Tony Abbott is spending $80 million to smear his political rivals, Mr Shorten he has said he's happy to cooperate."

This whole Royal Comission appears to be a typical set up by Tony Abbott the king of set ups with the lawyers and commissioners laughing all the way to the bank.

" A return appearance in the run up to a federal election is something the Coalition would no doubt welcome but that Labor would likely dread."

What have we the tax payers gained from this political theater?

" Abbott’s calculated use of the politics of fear for madness is to fail to understand the very clear-cut witch hunting strategies that have kept him in power despite the ineptness of his government and the cruelty of his social policies, and his Ur-Fascism — specifically, his traditionalism, his contempt for science, enlightenment values, and the boundaries set by the Magna Carta, his championing of ‘Direct Action’ without reflection on the shortcomings of his ascientific approach, his equation of criticism with treason as in the continuing Zaky Mallah incident, his ‘stop the boats’ xenophobia and his appeal to white skin privilege and male privilege, his extreme nationalism and exaltation of sacrifice (ie. death) at the Centenary of the Gallipoli landings, his worship of the false idol of infinite growth, his sporting machismo complete with ‘budgie smugglers,’ and his general abuse of language to serve his own purposes — the tendency common to all authoritarians to invoke freedom as an absolute, rather than something limited by the equal freedom of others, such that he regards any check to his class, gender, or racial privilege as a challenge to his rights being a prime example.  "Tony Abbott’s Australia: Madness or Design?
