Bolt had no qualms on smearing Gillard or Shorten and constantly called for them to be dragged before the Royal Commission as often if not more than necessary. Imagine if they did that from the Vatican or any place where we don't have an extradition treaty the furor Bolt would have made. However now that Pell is doing an Assange all manner of Bolt's complaints are about questioning the Commission's rights to call him. After all Pell is a priest and priests don't lie.
The ABC is being impartial when it compares Pell to Skase, to The Archbishop of Boston, to Alan Bond etc etc. The only persons calling it vilification and persecution of Pell are self admitted and biased conservatives trying to protect the Catholic Church which as some 9 MPs who follow some of it's directives. The ABC is reporting and yes questioning the veracity of what is going on and it is the duty of responsible journalism to question everything on our behalf. Bolt's banner says it all and it's not Spanglish it's simply bad English. Nor does he seem to know the difference between prescription and description. Description describes the reality we live in and attempts to enlighten us on it's history and social construction in whose interests. Prescription is proposing a model of what it ought to be. The problem Bolt's description of what exists denies racism denies sexism and claims that the wished for ideals of the critics have been achieved an we do live in the best of all possible worlds. Evolution and a little social engineering will fix everything. If that were the case why is he such an alarmist that deems the only future we have is the past. How will contraction back to the future eradicate the racism that exists, the sexism that exists the poverty that exists all these problems are rooted in the past that brought us to where we are.

Abbott took it to 25.9% and said "I've fixed it" and now Bolt's propagandists are not supporting that lie and suggesting it's Turnbull's fault.and declaring hell has broken out in Liberal heaven bring Abbott back. He actually believes the laws that disallow abuse under the RDA are in fact unfair.
According to Bolt all areas are covered by our slander and defamation laws. However the rule of money in these cases insures inequality. It's equality that in fact is an existential threat to Bolt's natural order. Any effort to achieve equality in an unequal world is a threat to him. Men should be able to abuse women ,Bosses should be able to abuse workers and healthy abuse the handicapped and they all should be allowed to abuse back. If feelings are hurt on either side each have the right to sue and that's what Bolt believes is equality. The freedom the right to be uncivil. What Bolt fails to acknowledge is that we live in a world of

It even insures the reluctance of overseas private sector investment because of subsidies provided to the fast ailing industries of mining fossil fuels. Science and knowledge don't come easy and our youth need encouragement to enter scientific fields. Has Bolt even considered that after more than 14 years of planned refugee creation by Israel and the West that what we have is the inevitable result of Western failure. This is the result of the planned invasions of Afghanistan, Iraq, and now the assisted war in Syria. . The 4-5 million Syrian refugees aren't invading Europe they would prefer to go home but even now the West insures they can't. However in the interim they are also escaping the shit conditions of camps.
9 million Chinese have left China in the past 5 years and we call them immigrants. They have resettled around the world. There is no reason 4-5 million Syrians can't in the short term also be accommodated and it's cheaper than continuing to war. The first agenda ought to be stop the war. The illegal wars the West began and have spent trillions on. Stop the manufacture of refugees. Stop the selling of arms. But don't build an Israeli wall around Europe. The government Indigenous Home Loan program is discriminatory yes but not racist in the sense that Bolt alludes to it's positive discrimination trying to counter the 170 years of prejudice and racism that went before it. Indigenous weren't privy to equal pay, bank accounts or lines of credit the very things that helped the Australian middle class grow and accumulate wealth. Indigenous land was an is communal and as such the banks saw as worthless collateral. These are things Bolt regards as "the norm" and not just the "white norm" but a "universal norm". Positive discrimination assists and attempts to ensure equality where equality doesn't exist and that's an existential threat to those who already hold all the social benefit cards. It's what Bolt refuses to accept that systemic institutional discrimination exists. It discriminates against the indigenous, women, the physically disadvantaged. All this is the norm for Andrew Bolt the natural order of things and not just a man made mistake in the social order.
