  Kevin Rudd hails Bill Shorten's 'wise' decision to rebuff Rupert Murdoch

New York: Labor leader Bill Shorten's decision to rebuff Rupert Murdoch's request for a meeting in New York has been applauded by former prime minister Kevin Rudd, who said it was a wise move not to attempt to court favour with the media mogul.
Prime ministers and opposition leaders - including Mr Rudd and his Labor successor Julia Gillard - have traditionally met the News Corp executive chairman while visiting the United States.
But Mr Shorten last week said he would not take up a standing offer to meet Mr Murdoch and would instead deal directly with the company's Australian representatives.

 Bolt never mentioned the dinner attended by his favourite Lib Tony Abbott MP hosted by the Chinese CCP. He wasn't given the free Rolex he received the last time he attended an event like this but his response when publicized was "I didn't know" a common response in the past for the member from Warringah. I wonder why Bolt has taken time out to mention Goodenough's efforts to promote trade but failed to mention Abbott's?

 The Liberals are paying the price for failing to fight — for giving in on Tony Abbott, ABC bias and the global warming scare. Bolt
 The Liberals didn't "fight for Abbott" they booted him out of his job for reasons in plain sight of the Australian electorate. ABC bias after countless reviews has been yet again declared unbiased and if anything biased on the conservative side because they actually provide the views of minorities alongside views on which there is a majority consensus and they question both. Quite the reverse of what you find the Bolt Report does. So much so Mitch Fifield MP has backed off being the ABC attack dog before the election. As for the Warmist scare well polls indicate they are in the majority in Abbott's electorate as they were in the majority for the Marriage Equality referendum when Abbott remained tone deaf neither could be regarded a scare.
As for the ABC cheering all of this I believe the accurate term is reporting it and the reactions to it. Bolt isn't reporting it just bemoaning it the very opposite of what the ABC is responsibly doing.
Bolt fails to mention that Steggles has been joined by Turnbull's ex-political advisor who was also running against Abbott. There is more it seems to be read into what Bolt overlooks than what he focuses on.

Bolt desperate to deflect attention away from the infighting within the Liberal Party has to turn to the Greens to make his point. I wonder why he didn't use One Nation as his example of bad behaviour. However unlike the Liberal Party and the Nationals there seem to be no real cracks that are about to divide and destroy them is there.

ABC SAVES FOULMOUTHED CLEMENTINE

The taxpayer-funded ABC looks after its own - with your money. It offers work to Clementine Ford, after she left Nine newspapers in fury at being asked to temper her foul tongue: "Ford tweeted at the end of last week that she had picked up some work at Morry Schwartz’s The Saturday Paper and at ABC Life, the public broadcaster’s lifestyle site."

Not only the craziest in a bad way, the laziest and slyest commentator in the Murdoch stable. Bolt builds and repeats his last week's hate smear of Clementine Ford. Ford resigned from CH 9 why because she was offered positions at the ABC and the Monthly she wasn't fired and no the ABC didn't save her as Bolt would have us believe. 
However what is off the leash to use Bolt's phrase is the newly appointed Liberal Party member and candidate for Gilmore  Warren Mundine Sky News commentator and Bolt Report favourite was not only a recipient of a $220,000 grant from the government for his Sky News show but a recipient of $5 million grant for a company in which he had 17% shares. Now that's looking after your own and off the leash as these were all non-competitive grants. You'd never hear that from Bolt.

Not calling an election before the return of a Parliament it no longer controls may be a bad move: "Scott Morrison has bowed to demands for an independent medical review panel to vet asylum-seeker transfers from regional processing centres to Australia...  as the government faces the risk of a historic ­defeat on the floor of parliament."

Bolt regards and treats Australian Doctors as ISIS supporters they like Asylum seekers are closer to Islamists than Australia. You can't get more racist than that. Does Bolt ever mention that it was Scott Morrison that suggested using Immigration and Islam as a political tool to divide the country back in 2011 and not his hero Tony Abbott? The LNP minister said on the News last night the best health assessment judgement ought to be made by the doctors on Nauru and not by those miles away. The problem with that however was Dutton simply kept sacking them because their decisions didn't align with his policy. Now that isn't a health judgement when Dutton kept overriding medical decisions.
That's threatening medical staff with 2 years jail if they talk and the stupidity of declaring Australian border security hinges on health decisions. How many have died because of LNP stringent politics? How many have been driven insane?

 Grant records show Real Futures - a vocational training company of which Mr Mundine is the chairman and part-owner - initially received a $4.5 million Commonwealth grant in February 2018 after a non-competitive selection process.

The grant increased to $5 million on August 27, just days after Scott Morrison became Prime Minister. It covers a period from February 2018 to June 2020.

 Last week, Buzzfeed News revealed Mr Mundine's company Nyungga Black Group received upwards of $220,000 from the federal government to support the production of his Sky News program Mundine Means Business.

Hayne wasn't there for a friendly chat. But then what happened before and after what was filmed is of no importance to Bolt the hypocrite who claims his manners can't be questioned and are second to none. He's clearly an abuser of women who mocks and publicly laughs at the South Sudanese beauty pageant with his son James on the radio. He's disparaged Yassmin and Dr Susan Carlin for their dress code and brawled with Miranda Devine in public threatening to walk off air until he realised the damage he'd done. Bolt doesn't mention that the recent failure ofVictoria's grid was due to the break down of our Coal -Fired power stations does he. Even the most modern breakdown. Is that why he's coupled them with South Australia's day without wind? 
Alan Moran once worked for the IPA but if I'm correct was sacked. Bolt's post is long and tedious and is a purpose post to cover up the fact that his beloved coal-fired plants keep breaking down. Victoria admits electricity infrastructure is a problem and is actively trying to fix it but that problem seemed to have begun with the Abbott and Napthine governments. Abbott coming into power and the Victorian Liberal government following his suit and doing nothing. When the private energy producers want to get out of coal and banks don't want to lend to coal and the public isn't investing how is it Bolt and Moran fail to get the message? We don't want coal. Yes, the consumers are the losers because the LNP donations are coming thick and fast from the Fossil Fuel miners still influence LNP policy.

THE CURIOUS ASSAULT ON JUSSIE SMOLLETT

There are odd things about Jussie Smollett's claim he was attacked by two masked Trump fans with a noose. Who carries a rope around Chicago? Why did Smollett walk home with it still on? How did he manage to hang on to his sandwich? Why did he wait 40 minutes to call the police? Why won't he hand over phone records, if he was on the phone when attacked?

 There seems to be only 1 media report on the internet that asks whether this was a hoax Bolt makes it two and he has a motive for his actions. Bolt doesn't mention the increase in hate crimes across the country or the increased number of terror attacks committed by white Nationalist supporters of Trump. No, he prefers to as usual concentrate on a single case and calls it suspicious. When acts of violence were committed by Muslims Bolt was reporting it here as terror when the police the FBI were all denying it. Bolt even declared it was the authorities covering things up.
 There's nothing strange here  Bolt is acting as defence counsel for the said phantom attackers and accusing Smollett the black man of lying where is he stealing his questions from? The American Thinker a conservative daily online which he doesn't acknowledge how Bolt is that? 
When the same questions were posed to Brett Kavanaugh is answers were accepted and any accusations were let slide even when it was proved by witnesses that he was lying. What happened the witnesses were accused of lying instead not by the GOP senators but Murdoch press just as Bolt is doing here now.
No, there is nothing strange about Bolt's post it's typical of Andrew Bolt who on the 12/10/2016 smeared Donald Trump as much and he defends him today simply because it's company policy. Whether Smollet's claims are true or false does not deny the fact that hate-crimes have accelerated in the USA since Trump was voted President the greatest rate if increase and violence hs been by white right wingers all for Trump.
Bolt tries to appear diligent but proves himself to be a little better than Breitbart trying to prove trends from disparate single events Bolt's more a plagiarist than an original thinker not acknowledging his sources and inspiration. "  Breitbart keeps a running tab of over 100 hate crime hoaxes since President Trump's election.  Smollett's suspected attack is eerily similar to one from Massachusetts where a 20-year-old man claimed he was the victim of an assault by two racists who called out "Trump country now" during the attack.  After police interviewed the "victim," he admitted that he had made the story up to "raise awareness" of issues in the country.

FAINE CHANGES STORY, BUT STILL WON'T APOLOGISE

UPDATE:ABC OFF LEASH ABC host Jon Faine today gave a bizarre excuse for this smear: "For reasons that leave me completely speechless, the ­Herald Sun and, I believe, a camera operator which may have been from one of the commercial networks … went with a group of vigilantes armed with baseball bats to try and extract ­revenge, with the media in tow co-operating."

 What would Bolt do without the ABC? They depend so little on him and pay him as much heed as Waleed Aly does. Bolt, on the other hand, wouldn't have a job it seems if it weren't for the ABC and it's individual personalities who rarely mention his name.
What's lazy about Bolt is he even repeats and repeats himself on the same stories in the hope it might gain some traction and make them appear to be a daily event. When everyone can't be bothered because in the eyes of the public the ABC is trusted and Bolt simply isn't. 
 How do we know what Faine was told wasn't true? Bolt leaps into a Smollet like an interrogation in the above post  Bolt mind you spends 90% of his time quoting "unnamed sources" when he's pretending to let the cat out of the bag. The fact is The Herald Sun was there to interview 2 white "victims" and would never have been seen interviewing 2 "black victims" is enough to suggest this that isn't just an assumption on Faine's part.
The probability of staging an event as far as the Herald Sun is high why? Rupert Murdoch their boss was caught out staging an event for Tony Abbott at the Alfalfa Club in Atlanta doing just that staging an event for the Telegraph and they were busted. So for Bolt to say Faine has no grounds to stand on isn't true because it's what the head of News Corp the role model for the org does and has been caught out promoting, shady events like this to manipulate stories.
Faine doesn't have to change his story about the practices of News Corp at all Andrew Bolt. 
" Does Faine consider himself above needing to apologise for his smears and ideological crusades, now that he's announced he'll resign at year's end - and now that the ABC is without a chairman or managing director to enforce basic standards?" Bolt 


BILL SHORTEN, SOPHIE MIRABELLA: THE MEDIA'S FAINTING TEST

GetUp's Simon Sheikh faints on  the ABC and Liberal Sophie Mirabella looks on, puzzled. A cameraman faints on the ABC and Labor leader Bill Shorten looks on, smiling. Only one of the two politicians gets savaged in the media and on Twitter as heartless. Guess which, and explain why.

We saw what Miabella did and how she reacted we have to assume what shorten did an at or to whom he was smiling. Yes, Bolt's trying so desperately to join the dots, dots in fact that aren't there. But isn't that what Bolt does all the time. Like "I'm an Indigenous Australian" more than Adam Goodes because I'm older than he is.  Mirabella was next to Sheik and should have been the first responder did nothing Shorten wasn't and Bolt's pathetic attempt simply rebounds on him. He's an idiot bully trying to play victim not for any principle just a side.
