This ‘victim culture’ is now a ‘real danger’ for women

Sky News host Andrew Bolt says this “victim culture” is a real danger for women as it risks making them look weak and men look the stronger sex. “This victimhood stuff is, in fact, reinforcing exactly the patriarchal society that feminists claim has held women down,” Mr Bolt said. “Now you’ve got to be clear, I actually support women like Brittany Higgins speaking up and going to police if they have been raped, allegedly in this case. “I do think you should stand up to serious stuff like that, really serious, of course you should. “And I think women should fight sexists. Fight them and not put up with that sort of rubbish for a second”. “But there is a real danger with the extreme victimhood that we saw preached at the women's march on Monday, a desperate searching for offence that made women seem so much more fragile and I have to say at times, even irrational”. 

A Woman was raped in a Minister's office at Parliament house. A woman is murdered by a policemen in London. The family court is abandoned and women suffering domestic violence are permitted to use their superannuation to escape it. Protests break out across Australia, in London and the planet and what and who does misogynist Andrew Bolt ape, have to say to inform us? "Victim culture"is a real danger for women" "It risks making them look weak" 

According Neanderthal Andrew Bolt these are unproven "alleged cases" that need investigation why? What is Bolt implying here? Like there were never any Stolen Children according to government record.  History and statistics prove rape isn't systemic or widespread because only 2% of 15,000 accusations result in any convictions. What it shows is men are falsely accused and are the "real victims". It seems that Bolt finds this statistic a case in point proving women are liars and men are the real victims rather than a  legal system broken. One that supports a patriarchy like the Colonial system that supported the rightful removal of children from Indigenous Australians.

 According to Bolt protest is Woke. It's the action by "extremists"in a society and deviant women. Bolt's culture isn't lopsided or sexist and in no way systemic. Rape and violence are individual acts by deviants bad men and we have the laws in place to deal with it.

 However on any other day and context deviant cultures do exist as far as Bolt is concerned. They are Indigenous, Muslim, African etc. They are the dysfunctional cultures unlike Bolt's. If their members complain and protest it shows just how weak and dysfunctional they are. Women are "frightbats" to Bolt Muslims and Africans well they just don't belong. However even he doesn't dare say that here because it would show him up for the misogynist and ethnocentric racist he is. Instead Bolt says  "Monday, a desperate searching for offense that made women seem so much more fragile and I have to say at times, even irrational”.What a sleeze he is.

Righteous anger according to Bolt is irrational. Any attempt to Cancel his White Christian Western Culture and it's institutions is irrational and ignorant. If his wife and daughter accept this idiot's arguments his critique of the March4Justice as anything other than a misogynist's rant against the otherwise bipartisan rightful anger of women and against systemic misogyny, male privilege which is not the natural order but is in need of massive change then they are surrendering to men like Bolt. Neanderthal's that refuse to see the forest for the trees. Men who fear fairness and equality.

It seems if Bolt's daughter complained of being molested by G.Pell Andrew Bolt would want that complaint dismissed without investigation because the police "keep trawling, keep trawling" and not investigating complaints. The whole of Australia's attention is on the Coronavirus and its effect on the nation and all Andrew Bolt's trying to do is tell us George Pell is the most important news in the country and Victoria's police force are the most corrupt. They did a great job during the bushfires Bolt and are doing a great job assisting the fight against the Coronavirus. 

The duty of the police is to investigate complaints just as the duty of journalism is to investigate the veracity of being said. An investigation is central to that exercise, not simply opinion or a cut a paste effort that selectively pretends to do that.

 The "trigger" Mr Bolt is the John Stuart yardstick known as  what's best for the "common good" and that begins with the capacity to be able to do widespread testing not just Australia is currently a world leader in a world that's losing. Surely that has to be taken into account. We don't have that capacity that Sth Korea and Taiwan do to test 1 Asymptomatic carriers. 2 Symptomatic persons who could have the flu and/or both. 3 Basically, isn't that everyone? 

When is it OK to accept a second third or a fourth wave? There where 3 waves of the Spanish flu the second and third more deadly than the first.

Yes we are hearing that the "Economy" needs to be saved but not "changed" and that lives yes lives of the aged along with those with preexisting conditions and those with low immunity due to a wide range of social circumstances are expendable. So be it it's for the sake of the fittest of the young still class-based generation. Unfortunately, it just might actually be better that the "Economy" changed and did so dramatically after all it's only a system of patterned behaviours inherited historically and not determinant. A living basic wage along with larger tax-free measures for workers and welfare might be a start. A Wealth and inheritance tax, Income tax, Corporate tax and death taxes visited along with Religious institutions and their accumulated wealth might be a start. Why is it a singular idea of what it means to save the "economy" seems to echo over and above any reconsideration of radical change to save people. It's obvious this one wasn't prepared and is a mess globally. This crisis has shown us just how fast things can be done when a multi-partisan approach is actually taken up.

Unfortunately, Andrew Bolt's "trigger" and action is a regressive want, not progressive need and Australians are what's readily expendable rather than profit as far as he's concerned.
