Climate Activists apparently are in a frenzy because they hate poor old Andrew Bolt back from holiday. How needy is this talking head for ratings? He's been away for 5 weeks and totally silent since he went on holidays. There hasn't been a peep from the man, and that must be why we now hate him. Disingenuous reporting and commentary may be free somewhere, but in Bolt's case, it's not. It's sooo bad it certainly doesn't deserve any praise.  

Andy Pitman corrected himself when he said that droughts weren't the "directly" caused by global warming. Something Andrew Bolt prefers to overlook along it seems with Tony Abbott. Scientists have also said Lung Cancer isn't directly caused by smoking either, but we don't here Bolt & Abbott declaring it's NOT the cause do we? That would be a step too far even for Andrew Bolt to say these days.

Pitman is totally pissed off by the way Bolt, Abbott and other Sceptics are using his misstatement which he corrected against him without any recognition to what it was he really meant. The use of misinformation this way is Bolt's forte, and he's been convicted in the courts of it, been sued and has had settle privately out of public sight for his manipulation of facts. But then we are no strangers to Murdoch Media's methods to gain sales either he applies the same formula throughout the Anglosphere. Any hate of Andrew Bolt any attention is so Trump in their eyes a measure of success. The more honest journalists and commentators have shone a light on their dirty deeds done dirt cheap. Particularly in Australia where News Corp is bleeding money and Bolt is subsidised as a tax loss.

The point Bolt overlooks is that the fires in Qld and other places were crown fires burning at the tops of the trees an unprecedented event not just leaves on the ground. Furthermore, the planet isn't as Bolt puts it, Greening. Is he suggesting Australia has more forest acreage than ever before that Brazil isn't suffering from deforestation and that the fires we see this summer haven't been burning for 7 months and aren't extreme? I'm afraid it's not only Andy Pitman but a world of climate scientists, Insurance Company actuaries, and significant fossil fuel companies that are walking away from the Bolt's of the media world because all Bolt wants to do is trick them into the slightest of errors and the use and abuse them forever after. We will see the effect these strategies have on Murdoch reporting by the narrowing of unsupported commentary

 Pascoe has always acknowledged that the history of his family has been difficult to fully piece together and that his Aboriginal ancestry is more than three generations away from today. Richard Guilliatt’s profile piece was written in May 2019, but it’s clear that Bruce Pascoe has been on Bolt’s attack radar for a long time.
Bolt first sneered at Bruce Pascoe’s claims of Aboriginal heritage in 2012, well before ‘Dark Emu’ was published. Since then, he has shamelessly leveraged the work of other people in mounting his attacks on Pascoe and his work.
What’s mildly amusing in all of this is that Bolt has probably never read ‘Dark Emu’ .

They too have a history as does Bolt and it's validity is as equal as Bolt's if not more so because people like Bolt want it eradicated.

 

The curse of Abbott: Sinodinos in strife

Sinodinos was Abbott's choice and very close to John Howard who turned up to his maiden speech. All these problems were known for some time yet Abbott certainly wasn't in a rush to get rid of him. Sinodinos was a champion in the Liberal Party both conservatives and moderates loved him. Now Bolt is ready to target not the whole Party but only Turnbull as if he's the doyen of Capitan Calls and runs the party as such. Bolt of course doesn't use the term because it's simply too Abbott.

In terms of politics Turnbull made a smart move suggesting states control education and health. It cuts double administration cutting Commonwealth spending and size something Andrew Bolt's been crowing about as a conservative principle. Turnbull has told the truth if this happens he has no crystal ball or control over what the states "might" do. However true to form Bolt says he should have lied.  Bolt's 8 points to prove he's right are as I've said fatuous and factless typical of a Bolt argument lot's of words lots of points simply to create a smoke screen and the pretense of information where there is none. Turnbull made a smart political suggestion and Morrison backed it. Oh but an opportunity nevertheless to go wide of the mark and  and blame Turnbull for not going off topic at press conference and talk about something entirely different. It's what Bolt does and tries to call it reasoned.

The true motive for hammering Turnbull is to turn the marginal Liberals back to Abbott and bring on another spill. Abbott and News Corp are on a mission from hell and don't mind if the destroy the Party.

Bolt for his own benefit has thrown "professionalism" the baby out with the bath water. All there is commentary and debate right or left wing. This not only applies to Journalism but all the Humanities and Social Sciences. Why because it then places him and News Corp at the center of the universe where debate becomes the news. 

He doesn't mind admitting he's a Conservative commentator and doesn't mind not collecting facts and information he's in the business of selling a side and attacking the opposition any facts that counter his arguments don't matter they are simply the misinformation of the left. Haven't you noticed Bolt even turns science  into a religion. There is no scientific method other than debate. If 1+1 =2 were in any way critical of Conservative thought then even math would be regarded as a biased faith based system. 

There is no place for progress or any attempt to change if it threatens  the inherent interests of  the rich and powerful. Anything that does is simply written off as "left", dangerous, un-progressive,  etc etc.  Bolt's language  is never reasoned analysis. If faced with reason he  dissolves into abuse , fear mongering and threat of Armageddon . Any change that is a shift in the social power base is fraught with danger any attempt to achieve a fairer social arrangement needs to be stopped.. It's every reason why Bolt is irrelevant and the ABC necessary. It's the difference between real Journalism and propaganda  and the value of each to us as a whole.
