The problem with Victoria's crime rate

 News Corp and MSM in general and Andrew Bolt in particular along with Matthew Guy and Peter Dutton spread and amplify a Chicken Little message that "we aren't safe in our homes". A political and shameful tactic that came to force under Tony Abbott in 2009. Its effectiveness was witnessed by the Conservatives during the Cronulla riots of 2005. Fake News broadcast by 2GB and in particular, Alan Jones were the accelerant that lit the perception of an emergency that didn't exist.
God botherer Scott Morrison MP for the electorate pointed out the effectiveness of selling the perception and narrative of divisiveness and exceptionalism of singling out an ethnic minority at the time the Lebanese community in Sydney. The Liberals at that time voted against the ploy. However not so Andrew Bolt, News Corp who happily applied it and continue to do today. It's the very essence of Fake News.( Old Dog Thought)

It's an apology in small print so the stench of his original complaint not only remains but  is repeated.

So why has Bolt chosen to offer minimum apology? He had vengence on his mind. Bolt wanted to get own back on another News Corp drone John Lyons. But Bolt who failed to verify anything he was talking about was left with egg on his face again because Lyons didn't write what Bolt was accusing him of.

Even the reporting of the fact of Dyson Heydon's  monumental blunder of accepting the post of main speaker at lawyers function that turned out to be a Liberal fund raiser questions the mans diligence and competence. All this is hailed by Bolt as indicative of the  hatred for Abbott. Is Bolt suggesting all these Liberals involved together with Heydon conspired to bring down Abbott? Even the left don't go that far. However Bolt would if it meant saving the boss.

 Tony Abbott should  have shut up and not defended Dyson Heydon. Abbott threw fuel on the fire by supporting him as he did Bishop. Are we going to have to wait 18 days for him to change his mind? Could you imagine the furor if Gillian Triggs was found to be guest speaker at a Labour fundraiser? What sort of incompetent Liberal organizers, advisers and commissioners has Tony Abbott PM appointed? Flipping the argument is just a vacuous  debating tactic Bolt uses when he has no argument. Turning the accused into the aggrieved by ignoring the sequence of causal events. Heydon is accused because he put his hand up to speak. He negotiated with Liberal organizers and Abbott defended him. Heydon and Abbott are not the hard done by and The AGE is both reporting and commentating on a matter of fact.

He's even misrepresenting what Peter Hartcher is saying.

Peter Hartcher has called it what it was an astonishing cock up. Bolt on the other hand is calling anything other than what it was and Abbott should have shut up. The whole thing is another fiasco.
