Andrew Bolt's Blog, 22/12/18; Bolt's failing ratings requires him to recycle the same old same old on every media possible daily and weekly. Where would he be without the ABC Fairfax and of course News Corp?

CSIRO says renewables to be cheaper than coal even without climate policy

Wrong again Mr Bolt
“Our data confirms that while existing fossil fuel power plants are competitive due to their sunk capital costs, solar and wind generation technologies are currently the lowest-cost ways to generate electricity for Australia, compared to any other new-build technology," CSIRO chief energy economist Paul Graham said.
"This also holds when the cost of fossil generation technology is adjusted for climate policy risk or not."
The report found if nuclear power was built it would be the most expensive form of power, while gas is the cheapest.

Is it a coincidence that News Corp, it's staff, Rupert Murdoch and the Liberal Party itself is so closely aligned with the IPA? Is it a coincidence that Andrew Bolt whispers in an echo chamber that he can reveal the true structure of Get Up as if it were a secret society among us. It's a bit of a joke when you compare the transparency of Get Up with the lack of the same degree with the IPA.

Democracy? Yes, it's worth talking about because Andrew Bolt certainly doesn't the Liberal Party passed the Warringah Motion declaring a strike for Democracy had been made and that party members now had a democratic choice in preselecting the candidates that were to represent them in their seats. The reality of this branch control was noted when Morrison offered a $350,000 bribe for the member running against Craig Kelly MP in his district's preselection race to step aside, why? Because Kelly, not a bully had the power and was threatening to move to the crossbench if the government didn't back him instead of the member they really wanted. That's Democracy in the Liberal Party where the tail is able and does wag the dog no matter what the majority want.
The structure of the board of the IPA isn't publicly known and it's tight-lipped about its donors yet it's a registered Charity? What is known is that one member Gina Rinehart is the groups biggest donor and as such control's the Liberal Party's biggest think tank to the tune of $4.5 mill over a 2 year period and that it had 4,500 financially paid up members at the end of 2017. Are these voting members their capacity is unknown? Mrs Rinehart constituted approx 33% of the IPA's income. "Dr Paul Williams, a political scientist at Griffith University, told The New Daily Ms Rinehart “kept the IPA afloat” so it could continue to take the case to the Liberal Party that would support her views." Further, we know this "secret society" is a direct training ground for young Liberal Party MP's like Wilson and Patterson and that current Liberal MP's are members and as are ex.AFP asked to investigate $350,000 job offer to Craig Kelly challenger
Bolt claims he was educated at Adelaide University "but didn't finish" no reason whether it was for a week a year or why he didn't finish really. He says because he got a job. That too is gilding the Lilly he didn't get a job according to reports his "mother did. One wonders why his mother found it necessary to get her son a job and he did not do it himself. Why did mum intervene in her adult son's future? Did he fail his first year at University? One thing is for certain to say he was educated at Adelaide University isn't what the University would say he may have been enrolled for a short period but he wasn't educated there and Bolt seems to be playing with words

Get Up isn't a membership organization in any shape or form that might be considered a secret organization like the IPA as Andrew Bolt tries to make out in his new podcast. The fact that unions openly donate to Get Up is a source of pride it's not a secret that needs to be whispered by Bolt in his newly created echo chamber. I should think as the recent Royal Commission into the Unions which discovered little or nothing in the way of corruption coupled in the 5-star rating given Industry Superfunds by the Royal Commission into Banking shows that Bolt's attempts to flag dishonest is simply a fabrication.
Bolt's efforts into whispering that the structure of Get Up is somehow corrupt simply because it's a democratic funding platform for political issues chosen and donated by individuals and organizations made up of voting individuals like unions and other bodies one clearly sees there is nothing secretive about it if compared with the IPA where little or no information is available. Get Up's alliance is with organizations made up of voting individuals of which are open to scrutiny as with the forced Public  Royal Commission into the Unions the same can't be said of the IPA if such an investigation were held and it's relationship with News Corp, it's staff, Rupert Murdoch and members of the Liberal Party which far from its title of being simply a research think tank.

The Liberal Party and the Institute of Public Affairs: Who is Whose?

Bolt's seems to be following Fox News and has turned on Trump only because Head office has. He still refuses to admit he was wrong maintaining Trump has done more good than bad stealing Greg Sheridan's line. However, even a broken clock is right twice a day unintentionally. Bolt doesn't even have that to boast about.

US President Donald Trump.

'He just refounded ISIS': Fox News bucks Trump, again

A Fox and Friends host tore into one of Trump's most controversial decision this week. And Trump was listening.
So Bolt is following Head Office never a leader just a lackey isn't he?

Misinformer of the Year: 21st Century Fox Executive Chairman Lachlan Murdoch

The Murdochs’ Fox News, a uniquely destructive force in American public life that ushered in an era of post-truth politics, has been unleashed under President Donald Trump. The network now functions as a propaganda outlet for his administration, embracing any level of extremism, deceit, and bigotry necessary to promote the president’s message while scorning basic principles of journalistic ethics.
Lachlan Murdoch has consistently lied about what his network does and what it is, even as the people who work for him have breached the norms of their profession in increasingly flagrant ways and become ever more entangled with the Trump administration.
