Australians are about to be tested after the release of two reports today into the cricket cheating scandal. Our test is this: do we really want our cricketers to play fairly if they don't actually win? My editorial from The Bolt Report.

One might ask, " what's new that Bolt has to offer Australia about the reports released on cricket that so many others like the ABC and elsewhere have offered? " Others that actually know something about the game and are consequently coherent. Did Bolt actually get his ideas off Mr Magoo? He's certainly not original and nor does he address the specific changes of the game itself within any historical context. His conclusion even appears to be so truncated that the end was left on the editing floor because it makes it made little or no sense to the editor. But then when has Bolt ever needed to make sense in his editorials?
 There's no mention of cricket's increasing commodification driven by money and boards chasing it above all else. Money has changed the nature of the game to fit the demands of a TV spectacle to attract its advertisers. None of this commodification of the game is mentioned by Bolt.  How a team game has been reduced to a gladiator sport to win at all costs it's essence. That cricket is no longer recognizable to what it historically was. That has escaped Bolt but then did he ever play the game?  He even said he hasn't supported it for years which is clear as his editorial isn't
Fairy Floss and mumble mumble and a mysterious connection missed. I suggest people turn on to the ABC's Iview and The Drum and listen to an expert like Cate McGregor for a real professional opinion about these two reports and their relevance to cricket because you will never get any sense out of Bolt.  Listen to McGregor and then go back to Andrew Bolt and you will see and hear what a real opinion on the topic of cricket is and what a waste of time watching Andrew Bolt waffle and Bolt Report is. ABC PREACHES WARMING, IGNORES SCIENCE

The ABC today continued its hyping of global warming. Scientist Michael Asten says what the ABC won't: "Australians do not appreciate the level of doubt about IPCC science in the science community. We agree the global climate has warmed in the past century. What is in doubt is the relative contribution of natural variations and anthropogenic CO2."

Bolt's use of the non-specific terms Scientist, hyping the level of doubt come up with yes the old cherry an unnamed number of scientists doubt global warming. Well, that old cherry was put to bed years ago when the number was specified as 3% of the specialists in the field. Bolt's use of data needs to be amplified it really does as he spent some 20 years telling us the planet was cooling that is if you take as your starting point the exceptional year of 1998. Today that's been now turned to pausing despite the fact that we have witnessed records being broken year in and year out since the turn of the century. It's strange isn't it 97% of specialists 190 plus nations, business finance and technology sectors throughout the world agree on man-made global warming and Bolt the swinger looks for people who generally are yesterday's men to put out a paid message that the world is wrong and we don't need to spend money on a planet that looks after itself. I wonder how long Bolt will be silent for again?

The ABC reports not on "it's dogma" but on science, the politics of science, and in what Bolt calls soft reporting it even gives his minority world of deniers a far greater amount of time their 3% deserve. than what Andrew Bolt gives the 97% of scientists that agree. In this case, the ABC He, on the other hand, is left promoting the obscure, unqualified not sceptics but simply deniers. Phelps goes on the ABC because she knows she has an audience there that represents all political views but agrees on the climate change. Bolt can't say that. Phelps can greet and meet the public anywhere, Bolt can't and won't do that.

Cate McGregor declares herself wrong to oppose Safe Schools

At the very end what does Bolt do but lays down a get out clause not to say sorry I was wrong. GUTTING THE LIBERALS

  The very notion that the Liberal Party has started looking like the Labor Party can only have been made by an ultra- Conservative and what a surprise it's been said by Roskam the controller of the conservatives in the Liberal Party by the IPA. No mention of the fact here that with Bob Hawke the Labor Party started to look like the Liberals who failed to know what to do until John Howard stepped in and took them to the right and Tony Abbott tried and still is trying to take them to the extreme Right. However the Party is in shambles because nobody can settle on a position where politics works for the nation and that's not at the extremes but in the middle where the real work is done the work of negotiation and compromise that Roskam doesn't like because that's where Democracy really works and the nation gets value for money. 

Fairfax and the Liberals are nothing alike Fairfax has been decimated by technology and has had to wing it because technology made being a Newspaper too expensive. The Liberals were never about selling truth, critical analysis or information. They weren't just about profit but power. Fairfax weren't structured that way. News Corp however were global and their papers weren't reliant on making a profit they were supported by a much bigger organization that was operating in the worlds Anglosphere. Myers, DJ's Woolworths and Coles are now feeling the heat that Fairfax felt with the global retailers coming here liek Aldi ,H7M and Zarah.

The Liberal Party's problem is that the further extreme they get they fragment. They aren't a Party and threats like Roskam's isn't going to make them one. Guess it's getting to the pointy end of the stick because time is running out for Abbott and what we will see is him making a move with the help of the IPA, and News Corp we have seen it all before. AMANDA VANSTONE; THE PERSECUTION OF PELL IS A DISGRACE

Former Liberal Minister Amanda Vanstone: "The media frenzy surrounding Cardinal George Pell is the lowest point in civil discourse in my lifetime... What we are seeing is no better than a lynch mob from the dark ages."   George Pell: “I’m hanging in there.’’ And now police doubt they even have a case against him.

Apparently we aren't all equal in the eyes of the law and due process is only given to some cases depending on who you know. the fact that there is such a vigorous struggle by Conservatives not to process Pell in the same way anyone else is smells of bias that goes further than just opinion and commentary. It seems however the Police and the DPP are doing their job according to Hoyles where as the victims of child abuse and their parents aren't. Anthony Foster wasn't being listened to for more than 20 years Pell offered to buy him off for $50k with a threatening caveat attached. So why is he the victim in this case rather than just the alleged. He's not being raped.

 

PRESS COUNCIL APPOINTS GETUP ACTIVIST TO POLICE MEDIA

Sinister. The Australian Press Council has appointed as its deputy chair a Leftist activist to police the media: "Carla McGrath [has] a strong advocacy background across organisations including ...  GetUp, the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples..."  The Australian  rightly says it won't accept her rulings.    

 Bolt was whinging about the Press Council last year  as well. He's a man with few qualifications and limited experience and he's complaining about  a well and broadly experienced appointee which as usual Bolt doesn't take into account. He chooses to focus on only one aspect of McGrath's experience. Quietly however the fact she is indigenous might just gnaw at Bolt as well. Apart from this it's not as if she's taking over the Council or can't be professional and objective which of course Bolt is incapable of being. If she'd been a member of the IPA Bolt would be lauding her  and putting rose petals no tulip petals on her pillow.

 Imagine if all we could do was focus on the fact that Bolt once worked for the Labor Party and ask how on earth could he be believed in pursuing the conservative cause with any honesty? Or the fact that he has no qualifications so how on earth could he ever produce a reasoned argument. He can't! We could concentrate on the fact he sucked his way to the top and never proved he earned the platform given him by News Corp and we'd be close to the truth. My question to the Press Council is  however, how long will the Council allow Andrew Bolt and News Corp to set about destroying the media industry in Australia no the English speaking world with their sale of false product, of opinion and commentary dressed as news.  The fake news industry has destroyed the trust once given the press. Thank god for the ABC.

WARMISTS DEFIED: TRUMP PULLS OUT OF PARIS CLIMATE DEAL

The ABC is wailing in horror: Donald Trump is pulling out of the Paris climate accord.  That means the world's top four emitters are either pulling out or free under the deal to increase their emissions. So why is tiny Australia still part of this growth-killing useless gesture?

 The only idiocy  Bolt's term is Bolt himself. The economics of self interest which has been Bolt's central argument has come to bite him on the ass.  The only area globally where there has been job acceleration and massive growth has been in Clean Energy and Renewables. The only area where there has been  a massive growth in investment has in been Clean Energy and and it's technologies. The only area where there there has been massive acceleration in Science technology and innovation has been in the clean energy sector and the only area where there has been a commensurate drop in prices has been in clean power.

There will not be a growth of jobs in coal the only area concentrating in the cutting of jobs is coal because of the advancement of robotics in old industries. Driverless trucks and man operated equipment is out . Even the the delivery to export points has become automated. Sunset industries are no longer growth industries or productive. There is nothing innovative in digging coal out of a whole cost cutting only comes at the expense of the work force. Australia's energy problem is the old problem of too many cooks in the kitchen and politics has got in the way of investment in energy because of uncertainty. The only power of interest in this sector is political power and not the price that flows to peoples homes. Not once has Bolt paid any attention the the fact that our biggest energy producers are getting out of coal . Eugenie, AGL, Origin all know it's going to stay in the ground.

Bolt's  reference link  Dr Bjorn Lomborg who is dead in the water  these days since Tony Abbott insisted on quadrupling his value by having him placed in an Australian University. Abbott failed on that score and was caught out participating in a con which no University would have a bar of.  Bolt entitles Lomborg with "professor" which is the equivalent of Andrew Bolt saying he was "educated" at Adelaide University. Why because these are both self proclaimed lies you won't find supported anywhere other than on their own CVs. Bjorn Lomborg isn't a professor the term simply refers to the fact that many many years ago he gave an unpaid talk at the Coppehagen school of business and everyone who taught at a university was called a professor. Bolt boosts himself in the same way take a look at his self made credentials in Wikipedia. He attended first year at Adelaide University and it seems he failed to get any qualifications whatsoever emphasis on he failed. Being a bragart and boosting is Bolt's job despite his lack of qualifications in that area as well.

John Henry Sununu, former Chief of Staff under President George H. W. Bush, smashes a CNN interviewer peddling the smear that Donald Trump colluded with Russia. Brilliant, particularly when he gets her to admit there is actually no evidence of any collusion after seven months. Must watch:

I guess this is to distract from the fact that Peter Dutton is now supporting the head of ASIO when he declared that no connection has been proven between our refugee policies and terrorism. Bolt just been smacked down so he's turning to US media and getting out of town fast because of his failing  accusations. The fact is drawing attention to the US media is only drawing attention to himself and has no relevance to anything called the truth. Fox beint the worst and Hannity the worst of the worst since the sacking of so many staff and the desertion by so many advertisers no longer wanting to be associated with the crap being peddled.

Their silence on Frankin's want to bomb and kill all those in the studio of tha show particularly Tony Jones and the endorsement of anyone that did gives us all every reason to boycott these privileged media white male terrorists.  They give every reason for ISIS supporters  to continue what they are doing and saying well if Bolt ,Franklin and Dean can why can't I.

 

JAMES PATERSON; NO TO A BLACK PARLIAMENT

It takes the youngest Liberal MP, Senator James Paterson, to smack down the Uluru Statement's demand for an Aboriginal-only Parliament to advise the Parliament of us all: "It violates an important principle of equality before the law regardless of race." Where are the ministers and senior Liberal to denounce this racist plan?  

The first people have an adviser to parliament now Warren Mundine but he isn't their selected representative. It seems beyond Andrew Bolt's intellectual capacity that the first people would prefer an elected body chosen by them to fulfill that function. Given Bolt paints them with one brush it's obvious he hasn't a clue about the diversity within the Indigenous community he doesn't care and is not interested. But then that's what fascists are like on party one leader telling us what we have to do.

 

MALLEY, THE $1.8 MILLION MAN.

How  can this bloke get paid so much?: "CPA Australia chief Alex Malley is staring down insurgent members who plan to shame directors into resigning after he revealed he was paid almost $1.8 million last year.... [But} the group’s constitution had ... been changed by ...  special resolutions, meaning members no longer directly elected the board..."   

  Does Bolt intentionally place posts to make himself look stupid. Indigenous people haven't been able to elect or question the adviser to the PM Warren Mundine. They can't sack him only the PM can. They and we aren't actually privy to his contract. Bolt's claim that they want an elected advsory body is racist but Warren Mundine being selected by Abbott isn't.

Here he is complaining that Alex Malley or the CPA directors can't be ousted by a vote. Does bolt believe in the principle of elected representatives or not. Apparently when it comes Indigenous Australians the answer is no. He belives but won't say it publicly even the Abbott method is wrong even though Abbott crated the position. Bolt's stum on that vocal on democratic choice for CPA's

The principle is of no consequence only the team and his team along with the IPA are 99% white and not Indigenous despite the fact that Bolt says he is.
