In leaked recordings, Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton revealed he was shocked at the government’s refusal to own up to its pandemic mistakes.

Nuclear is ‘as safe as renewables’ and ‘meets all the climate change’ criteria

 Australian Nuclear Association President Joanne Lackenby says nuclear energy "is as safe as other low-carbon technologies" and so-called renewables, and it "meets all the climate change criteria". "The stats show nuclear energy is as safe as the other low-carbon technologies; wind, solar and hydro, and it's as clean as those technologies as well. It meets all the criteria for climate change, and has the additional benefit it operates continuously," she said. "There's a brand new program that's come out of the United States... here we have the Biden Administration offering to help partner countries to develop their capabilities to develop small modular reactors and advanced reactors. "We have the Democratic, more left side, offering to other countries, to help develop their nuclear capabilities. There's a lot of potential for Australia if we want to as a nation, to join this program."

Before Green Mile, before Chernoble, before Fukushima we always heard the same thing. Salesmen selling the safety of  those Nuclear energy projects. Before the Exxon & BP disasters and before the massive oil spills of washed up tankers we also heard the same voices promising none of these events would ever happen. They were safe. Renewable energy sun wind and batteries have proved they are and any accident is nowhere as expensive or damaging to the enviroment or to the long term health of the people. With the rise of batteries countries like Germany, the UK, Scotland  and Morocco are showing dirty or dangerous energy is not required.

Bolt brings sales people into the studio to sell. People with CV's who remind me of the Round up salesman who assured a French TV audience Round Up was safe enough to drink.  When the interviewer pulled a bottle out from under his desk the salesman fled yelling he'd been tricked. Neither Bolt nor Lackenby would holiday in Chernoble or Fukishima neither would drink the water contaminated there. Bolt says he would but wouldn't even if paid. Talk is cheap however the mistakes of the past are never added into the cost of these so called "safe" energies. . Costs to the enviroment and to the long term health of people. They are costs to be shared by us elsewhere and not shown on our energy bills. The Tobacco industry is still telling us they have been maligned unfairly.

It's strange isn't it when countries like Iran aren't trusted with uranium that is unsuitable for making bombs Bolt is helping flog that material to the rest of the planet. He's like the Round Up salesman spruiking from the safety of  his garden  studio on the Mornington peninsula.

You have to laugh don't you when Andrew Bolt wildly generalizes like this. Particularly when yestrday  he insisted a youth worker and teachers teaching need to be cancelled banned from schools revealing the facts of our nation's inglorious 230 year past.. Today however it's the left who need to be stopped for their efforts to censure 'free speech'. Yes,yesterday it was Bolt ctying 'cancelled." and today that push is exclusively "left-wing". It's as if Bolt didn't even exist yesterday and don't we wish he and News Corp and Sky didn't.

 He even had a segment with a  guest from America demanding Lebron James be silenced. You can't get more exclusive than that,when nobody else in Australian media paid much attention to Lebron. Bolt want's academics removed from our universities. Women sacked for victimizing men and Australian youth to be seen but not heard. He's evidenly a hypocrite no doubt however his productive output and it's value to Australia is an overwhelming divisive cost that's easily done but hard to repair. It must also be a a short term gain for him but a long term cost for his immediate and extended families. Yet nothing phases him because he this 21rst century's isolated man

Does anyone note there is not  a single fact of evidence offered here. Not a shred to prove their point that systemic racism is a "lie". Whereas, on the other hand, the statistical data and history of social metrics like income, wealth, jobs, health education welfare policing all show the opposite as being the fact.  All international studies done have also proved the opposite of what Bolt and the IPA. The anectdotal evidence of visitors is overwhelming on how badly we treat indigenous Australians. 

 Historical studies of Chinese Australia have shown much the same racist trends and in more recent times Muslims, and Africans have suffered, lived and experienced the clear cultural message and racially bigoted behavioral system inherited and established by whites in this country. Whites still privileged and in charge of most of our social institutions. Andrew Bolt and the Sky News crew are living examples of it. Is it to leave the public totally ignorant of the threat until it’s too late?” 

The threats posed by China? Were they the ones designed to insult China over six years ago that  Australia's Murdoch media were inventing when Tony Abbott was supposed to be the pivot of the pacific and didn't regard China as a threat. He closed down Radio Australia and welcomed the Chinese in to Fiji and Vanuatu. He was far more focused on being the pivot of Europe and shirt fronting Putin. Building our war memorials and bringing back knighthoods and he still is. While LNP were celebrating their relationship with China Murdoch media were prodding and punching it. After all China had kicked him out. So is it a coincidence that Murdoch's preferred PM Dutton's rise to Minister of Defence and tonto Pezzullo his sidekick are talking war? However,now that Penny Wong has spoken up they seem to be on the backfoot having to defend not what China has said and done but what they have. 

Conservatives when their stocks are down have always turned to the threat of war. China has never hid the fact since the 40's that they believed Taiwan was theirs. So why is it being raised now? Remember the Domino theory it took us to Korea Vietnam and Afghanistan all wars lost and predictions made by the LNP then proved pure political fantasies aided and abetted by a Murdoch then as well. The Murdoch's employed white men of Bolt's calibre back then too. Does anybody remember their names? What is Labor's strategy? Informing the public they are being gaslighted not threatening it or defending China.

 Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the "throttle is wide open" for businesses and households to "borrow and spend" as the Reserve Bank continues "printing" more money and stimulating the economy. The remarks come as Australia's inflation figures released showing 0.6 percent for the third quarter. "The Reserve Bank will continue with its policy of printing a lot more money and putting a lot more money into the economy, stimulating the economy if you like," he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt. "But at the same time also what it means is interest rates are likely to be lower for longer. "If there'd been an outbreak of inflation in this number it's highly likely that, number one, our dollar would have risen, long term interest rates would have risen on money markets - and that would've been a genuine sign that something could've changed. "This number really does reinforce the fact that those interest rates are lower for longer and really as we've said before the throttle is wide open on the Australian economy for both businesses and households to borrow and spend."

The Australian economy boomed in the 60's and 70's when the call was to "save and spend" today it's "borrow and spend" but that requires " jobs" and they were a plenty back then. There was a sense of  real confidence and interest rates were 17%. Walk down any High St today and what do you see but vacant shops "for lease". That spells jobs gone. Kids kids have no jobs and casualised ones are on the rise. Gig work that barely pays for bills and has kept wages low. So in reality 'borrow and spend' is a eupanism for borrow and pay your bills. What Industry has the throttle wide open? The debt creation business is one. Should we be surprised watching short term pay day lenders advertising on TV along side reverse mortgage brokers as pensioners haven't had an increase in 20 years. No, they aren't advertising borrow and spend to buy goods they're advertising borrow and pay your debts mother fuckers. The call isn't about jobs  People are now begging on the streets of Kew, Balwyn and Hawthorne not just in the city they are being throttled.

Meanwhile while we were going down we were watching the Chinese rising  becoming rich educated enjoying saving and spending because of the the culture that Bolt so much admires is sinking in it's own shit. FIRST NATIONS HABITATS BEFORE INVASION

First Nations people from the hundreds of different nations managed their lands, food, water and habitats to meet their needs - working with their environment to maintain health, comfort and sustainability.

Researchers in recent years, including Bruce Pascoe, have described how many First Nations nations/tribes lived in villages or towns, while many others lived in villages seasonally.

Once the surviving peoples from the massacres were displaced from 'country' by European colonists, many were forced into exclusively hunting and gathering, therefore building shelters that served the purpose of this transient lifestyle. This was not completely foreign to them because most tribes often travelled around their lands seasonally, and through other tribes lands for regional gatherings.

In reference to the bottom image represented here we provide some observations made by a land party from the Vlamingh Expedition in Western Australia before it was settled by Europeans, he reported to see five huts close together at Wittecarra Creek, near to the mouth of the Murchison River. One of these huts was described as being "made of clay with a roof sloping down on two sides."

In 1803 another report of Aboriginal people living in a larger permanent settlement derived from the Baudin expedition, where they encountered a settlement on the tip of Peron Peninsula, Shark Bay, Western Australia on 18 March 1803.

Three members of the Expedition mention this assemblage of huts, Baudin, Peron and Freycinet, and the ship's artist Petit was ordered to make a drawing. According to Baudin, "Twelve or fifteen huts, much better made, than those we have found hitherto, composed the village where this small tribe lived ... ones that belong to the heads of families ... were much bigger and were built with considerably more symmetry."

Peron's description was, "these huts of the Land of Eendracht [central west coast of WA] ... are in the form of a hemisphere slightly depressed at the top ...... Their height is from 12 to 16 decimetres [1.2 – 1.6 m], by a diameter of 20 to 25 decimetres [2.0 – 2.5 m]. They are composed of small trees implanted in the soil ... On the outside are attached layers of foliage and clumps of grass covered by a large quantity of soil."

Is this how our elite settles debates now? Not with reason and a vote, but vile abuse, threats and force? My editorial from The Bolt Report.

 Common term for the "elite" is" In political and sociological theory, the elite (French élite, from Latin eligere) are a small group of powerful people that control a disproportionate amount of wealth, privilege or political power in a society."

Bolt as usual changes the common understanding of language simply to create confusion. At other times he insists on exactly the opposite demanding the purity of the definition of say "genocide" when no such thing exists in reality why? To actually make conversation impossible in an attempt to control and debate on his impossible terms.  His goal is to create confusion and a landscape for yes bullying flipping logic on it's head and slipping and sliding away from the topic at hand. Because logic and simplicity are the enemy of bullies. You can picture Bolt the pimply faced school kid lead speaker for his debating team running through the debating game without any real substance. 

So the "elite" is small group of powerful people at the top. Well you can't get more concentrated than ultra conservatives can you supported by News Corp via megamouth Andrew Bolt giving weight to the Monkey Pod room and financed by the IPA, the ACL and would you believe indirectly by "the Show" or the ghost Bob Santa Maria's ideals which are still very much at the front and center and held firm by Tony Abbott. You couldn't get a cabal more "elite" than that. They have a branch in every state powered by the church and supported by the ultra conservatives. No separation of powers for them. They have held power through marriage and inheritance for generations

Tony Abbott's sister was far, far more rational about family love and what it means to disagree than Bolt was "families witt be destroyed" he claims. Christine Abbott  was simply generous and  Bolt so theatric in his performance.  Ms. Abbott was on the democratic Q&A while Bolt was in his private pulpit from which you instantly felt slimed. His use of the term "elites" has been flipped and equality, what the vote is all about in the first place, was simply thrown overboard  to amplify Bolt's sideshow. He was banging a drum to gain attention for" propaganda". Marriage is for children and children for inheritance to ensure generational power gay marriage threatens blood lines  and inherited power.

 Bolt turns to research and mentions 2 studies totally ignoring the 79  studies done over 3 decades and examined by Colombia University that prove he's vocalizing from Bullshit Mountain. Like Climate Change he only mentions the 2 studies that support the 'no' vote the 3% that have been refuted and have no sociological consensus. Why would that be? Why has Bolt dragged out the equivalent to Climate contrarian Roy Spencer to make his point with false facts?

 The fact is this is a vote on EQUALITY do you believe in it or not? Bolt constantly reminds Aboriginals that they are all EQUAL under the Australian Constitution but obviously Gays are not in in this case. It didn't take a referendum when the Howard government to declared we weren't EQUAL when it came to marriage so why does it take a referendum now?  We have a Democratic process that could have reversed the decision long ago. Of course, all taxpayers won't agree but that's not the point of a representative Democracy nor how tax payer money is spent not everyone has to agree nor is money divided proportionately as Bolt keeps crying why should I pay?. 

So who are Bolt's "elites" he has hold of the megaphone The Bolt Report is part of the most concentrated media group in the country with major shares in Ch 10 who is currently in administration and needs saving desperately?  Rupert Murdoch wants it. He  is also a foundation member of the IPA who promotes Tony Abbott  in every which way possible and who is the leader of yet another minority of ultra conservatives who promise to rid the country of the ABC whenever possible. Currently their mentored by the ghost of Bob Santa Maria's NCC whose aim was to remove the godless from power who they claim are the yes brigade?

Their personal views are so set in concrete they are unable to see any other perspective like Simmon's might have validity. Stan Grant's Yassmin Abdel -Magied's or Petr Simmons "the historian" are all wrong as far as they are concerned. In this case, they have put Simmons into their fixed, small minded, little category in an attempt to smear and laugh at him like two pompous fat arsed little school boys from the same class and social milieu that they are. However, that in itself defines them into easily understood caricatures and decisively sad jokes. These two morons couldn't hit a barn wall with a cannon if locked inside simply because they can't envisage a difference between macro and micro explanations and that theirs is only relative as is what was being said by Simmons the  loving 'husband' and not ' historian' It wasn't wrong at all just up close and personal as far as his wife's concerned. Oh dear, you can clearly feel the cold lack of endearment Bolt and Henderson have with their spouses.

Treasurer Scott Morrison is absolutely right. We must cut business taxes or "run the great risk of stranding our businesses and the jobs that rely on them, as our competitors and friends continue to move on".  But that, of course, means cutting spending to make room.

 This not a commentary by Andrew Bolt but a paywall to the Australian. He calls this his hard labour, his work.

 Business tax cuts and a reduction in revenue are being called for to be paid for by cutting the Welfare of Australians most in need, pensioners,the unemployed and the growing but unaccounted for under employed. It's easy to cry out about juvenile crime  and blame Dan Andrews for it isn't it Bolt.

 The belief is that the most wealthy who for more than a decade have been receiving a greater proportion of the increased GDP over those years deserve it but the bulk of the population don't. What is of no concern or relevance to Bolt is the economic history or context when it comes to solving the current state of affairs. In other words planning is of secondary importance to Bolt. The issue of the rich getting richer in the good years and the poor just making ends meet  is of no interest even if they are struggling more now. The rich shouldn't feel the pain of being even a short term stop gap to achieve some balance. 

The problem is very few of the wealthy are entrepreneurs most get their wealth from inheritance and accumulate more off interest and capital gain than business. They are hardly the job creators or decision makers. Job growth comes from overall investment in our youth and future through education and innovation and yes we have cut spending on the sciences and Bolt advocates they remain only voluntary subjects in our schools.  The belief that they provide the necessary and required skills  for the future runs secondary to the scepticism they encourage. So investment in education is not happening  today and in fact we are falling behind other countries. Who you know guarantees you more opportunity than any belief in the myth of a meritocracy. Andrew Bolt's personal history is living proof that intellect isn't necessary for the job he does nor the wage he earns but rather luck, who he knew, who he married and who he mixed with at the time. Had all of these not converged  at a particular time we'd have never heard of Andrew Bolt. However the same can't be said of his brother who had the skills and education necessary for the work he does but get's paid less than Andrew a Karadashian of media. By that I mean he thinks he needs to prove himself worthy by sharing his tastes in music, arts, food, and wine but unfortunately like a  braggart because his audience have lifestyles that can't reach his dizzy heights. However at the same time he's  paranoid of them because they are average Aussies. 

Our great tax challenge is not cutting the taxes of the wealthy but ensuring a more equitable distribution of the income and wealth one that benefits us all.

Trump's targets are in La La land and Britain is a geographically smaller place with x3 times the population of Australia the comparison being made here is ludicrous to say the least.In Australia, land of the ‘fair go’, not everyone gets an equal slice of the pie

The Clinton Foundation's  Clinton Global Initiative is being shut down. Here's evidence that it really was less about charity than peddling influence, with foreign governments and businesses donating to curry favor with what they thought was a future president. How shameful that Australia was among those donors.  

The Trump foundation was set up before closed before Trump became President. Was there a list of good works it did? If there was we never heard of them because Trump was caught openly using it for himself and we heard plenty on that. It was about to be closed by the government The Clinton Foundation was set up by Bill after he became President and the list of good works are recorded. Donors gave willingly and the liberal government was one. Why they gave  anyone and everyone are able to speculate on but the pluses perceived outweighed the negatives. So much so they lasted years and was among the best and biggest of all Presidential Foundations. If there was any example of a trickle down effect it was seen in the Clinton Foundation Nobody was going to be charged which can't be said about the Trump Charity. The banner simply is an attempt to do what Trumpsters did pre election amplify  an error and call it a rort but not mention or even try to take a rort like Trumps and call it an error. 1  Why does Bolt bust his balls defending the indefensible or even things that are inevitable. The date change will happen and the majority of Australians will applaud it. What is it that Bolt doesn't want to admit. That he didn't achieve the path of his life alone he's not the self made man that he attributes  himself. So why is Bolt so anal about Australia Day so unempathetic to what it means to people of Aboriginal heritage. Why is their heritage so meaningless to him but his so important? Aborigines don't want to deny their Australian-ness  or his Dutchness but he insists in denying theirs as if they are lesser humans "Changing the date will help those of the Left who deny history - specifically the fact that much that makes Australian society so free and rich is in fact the legacy of British settlement. Virtually none of it comes from Aboriginal settlement." He 's relic because public knowledge hasn't ever caught up with human science which would indicate that political and cultural unjust systems are whats preventing social and economic benefits for all of us. Simply the sin Bolt  wants to maintain is the myth but not the reality of a "fair go"

Victoria's Labor Government says corrections officers from adult jails will take over security at teen jails to crack down on riots there.  But isn't the real problem not the staff but the restrictions that government and the courts have imposed on them, making it dangerous to be tough?

 

  Guess what a paywall to political commentary in the Herald Sun.  Does Andrew Bolt write anything in his blogs other than the banners? You can guarantee that there is no mention that Dan Andrews inherited the rot that set in during the Baillieu and Napthine years. That there are fewer kids committing crime but are racking more charges and are sent to detention centers bursting at the seems. No mention that  Social Services were let go to the dogs by the previous Conservative government leaving Mental Health, Youth Unemployment all unable to cope with the increase in under employment in the state. The homelessness we see didn't start with Andrews he's inherited the problem. 

So given the fact that a problem does exist why isn't Bolt drawing attention to the reality of it rather than just a bigger stick being applied to under 18 year olds. Is he calling for child beating laws to be dropped at home? Did he beat his kids into submission or provide them with opportunities that many don't have? There's the stick and the carrot some can't afford the carrot and Bolt doesn't want them to have it.

What these two bozo intellects  fail to realize  is the written word isn't our only primary source of history. According to Bolt and Blair  Fatima's ficticious  children would be entitled to be pilloried as they are now pillorying Nova Peris for  even suggesting they were part of a 'stolen generation' or victims when they in fact were rescued from an incompetent mother whose family was destroyed by an invasive war. The history of whatever happened in Allepo or Australia will only be that told in the official record generally that of the winning side at the time. So  Clendenin'sAztec history will be fake because it goes beyond the Spanish record and the only written record of the time given the Aztecs didn't have a written record

 Because he has the documented  proof by way of his birth certificate he's more Indigenous or at least has more right to say so. In some counties if your released from a mental institution your given a Certificate of Sanity. The Netherlands is one such place and it's the land of Bolt's family. Does that mean the majority of the country and his parents aren't sane because if asked for proof they don't have a Certificate of Sanity?

Our new fascists: another Leftist rally turns violent

 

An anti-Australia Day rally turns violent, once again demonstrating that the Left now tends to be the evil it describes.  Naturally, the Greens and a teachers' union is involved, and once again, police are made the punching bags by people preaching peace.

  Let's apply documented evidence that Andrew Bolt  applies in this blog to that which he demands of Nova Peris in the above blog and see how verified and trustworthy it is.

 1) First of all of Bolt's evidence comes from the Herald Sun 'his team' it's who he works for. Is his stable  to be regarded as the official historic document or a biased one? One thing's for certain it's of poor quality look at the English in this report "The young man who was arrested after an Australian flag was set alight at the rally was granted bail and released from Redfern police station yesterday afternoon charged with assault police, resisting arrest and malicious damage to property. He was surrounded friends and covered his face as he walked from the station in silence." Herald Sun.  If this is the standard Bolt abides by one can question the writers competence and Bolt who was once an editor  for accepting it. Further there is no evidence in any of the News Corp photos or video of police being attacked nor any explanation of how a cop got an injured leg. However there was  a girl on the ground reported to be seriously injured 'when 2 police fell on her.'

 2) It seems a young man was arrested for flag burning no because that's not a crime. The very last sentance in Bolt's blog suggests maybe it was for lighting a fire. The Herald Sun reporter doesn't know and therefore nor does Andrew Bolt

3) Bolt's blog doesn't seem to be driven  by evidence but evidence searched for to fit his story like that of a dirty cop.
4) The definition of the word Fascist  is generally historically applied to an ideology that believes in the alliance of  Government and the corporate elite. The elite believing in a system lead by a dictator a system believed in over and above the importance of any individual.

 All Bolt is doing is what he always does. Rather than addressing reality  he spends his time trying to redefine it so it becomes meaningless or moot. he's redefined the meaning of Fascism the way he has redefined the meaning of Indigenous to fit his conclusion. Fascist here on Australia Day is redefined to suggest those who oppose White Nationalism and forced Assimilation are not individuals driven by their beliefs but merely cogs in a system. It doesn't really apply here as they seemed to be individuals from very diverse backgrounds and not just one. Their aim  seems more to liberate rather than restrict and control all opposites of Fascism as  it's generally understood.

5) The mere changing of rhetoric and definitions is fundamentally an escape from reality and it's  Bolt tends to do. He uses and is used by News Corp to spin a reality that has no basis in fact. It's a moot a redefinition a yarn peddled by a salesman from the point of view of a very small number of  Australians who feel at risk. Isn't that what Nova Peris represents a small number of Australians who feel at risk? The only difference why is one group trying to restrict  and the other to liberate and who has the power?
