Unlike Bolt who spends such energy trying to save the unsaveable Abbott, Hirsi-Ali, Hanson etal from verified media facts Savva provides informed comment. All Bolt packs into his blogs and writing tends to be abuse, mockery, unverified heresay and lies.  I suggest one simply look at today's offerings and read my comments and tell me I'm wrong. The only reason olddgothoughts came about Bolt moderated all comments out of his blogs simply because I disagreed with what he was doing and that is distorting the truth

HOW THE BIASED ABC FRAMED HANSON

The ABC tried this week to destroy Pauline Hanson — again — in yet another abuse of its massive power. And it didn’t only advertise its Leftist bias in attacking a party of the Right. The ABC’s Four Corners also may have broken the law, airing a secretly taped phone call between Hanson and a One Nation senator.

The ABC report was not an editorial unlike Andrew Bolt's .

1) The electoral Commission is investigating the financial activities of One Nation. Andrew Bolt believes that should remain a secret as long as they aren't a Union.

2) Who bought the plane for $75,000. Who and for what purpose seems a reasonable question given the electoral rules and the emails revealed.

3) Why was James Ashby printing company have sole rights in a free market? Malcolm Roberts says he was the cheapest without proof typical of a Roberts statement.  The printing was the printing done  illegal unusable and not refundable? It's a fair question but that was biased reporting according to Bolt. Why was it fake Mr Bolt?

4) Hanson was writing what appeared to be franchise contracts wasn't that a legitimate question. It was a secret and private according to Bolt. It may have been except it was being done by a political party.

5) One Nation members of longer standing than even Pauline Hanson were kicked out of the party. According to Bolt their complaints shouldn't have been aired. They had no right to a voice.

The ABC did not print Fake News or Frame Hanson. She is under investigation and not just by the ABC

THE ONE NATION CANDIDATE THE ABC DID NOT WANT TO SHOW

Yesterday I said the ABC’s Four Corners program had twisted the evidence to make One Nation seem it was racist. The reporter went to a pub to find One Nation supporters and seemed only to find people who really didn’t like foreigners. Now meet the One Nation candidate she filmed for two days but then didn't show. You may well guess why not.    

 How pathetic is Bolt he pulls an Asian Australian out of the box to show One Nation isn't Racist. It's quite simple "one sandwich doesn't make a picnic." Pauline Hanson was against our immigration policies 25 years ago and she still is today her examples of what it means to be Australian  may have changed but the underlying prejudice mirrored by  her anti- multiculturalism hasn't. Andrew Bolt remains the same a Hanson doppelganger.
 Hanson's history is best exemplified by her statements today that "Islam is a disease and is in need of vacination". It was Asians 25 years ago their impact and use as a stand out example may have passed her by. Today 35 different nationalities are now encompassed in her statement that Muslims are a disease. No Pauline they are Europeans, Australian converts, Asians  people from the Middle East and elsewhere and they are all encompassed in her definition of a "disease" we proudly call Australia.

What Institutional privileges have Indigenous Australians gained in 200 years simply look at any social indicators and you will find very few. How many Andrew Bolt's are cleaners in out hospitals? When applying for a job how many does Abdul have to apply for before getting a hearing. My perjudice isn't systemic Institutional or cultural and doesn't influence Bolt in any substantial way but his attitude towards me an indigenous Australian does because he treats me as an Abo with 200 years of effect. This week Bernardi and Abbott both predicted by Bolt to create Conservative parties. How many of these people has Andrew Bolt promised to support? Is this new party going to be Australias first party lead by two people or is honest and loyal Tony just posturing? However even that would make him the liar and fraud we have always known him to be. There is no mention of the poll that has been taken in his support has there. Bolt seems to be keeping that one very close to his chest.

I'm afraid the 'delconic frenzy' is alive and well. Frydenberg and Turnbull were on the same page one talking about a review with all cards on the table it's what problem solvers do and Turnbull reashuring the electorate what the current Liberal policy is. Everything else is media beat up desperate to out rate each other. Yes it was a pity Turnbull responded to media idiocy. However until the review is over new directions won't be considered. What is obvious however is Bolt insisting a 9.3% price hike in energy bills when the average actually predicted is 3.9% if coupled with a Carbon Intensity Scheme going down while improving the cleanliness of energy production.

Bolt has found another moment this time to slag off a whole continent of people from Africa simply on the basis of a probability. It gives him pleasure to tell the world that our police are gutless in a world Bolt on any other day of the week insists is not racist and has no color but not yesterday. Yesterday was Black African day and when the police made no mention of it and other media didn't make the fuss Bolt made of it a conspiracy was at hand. A clash of Cultures not a crime was at hand here had the suspects been white Bolt would never have mentioned it. You see white men can't jump only Muslims and blacks commit crime and terror in Bolt's town and that's his story and he's sticking to it. That's Bolt's reality and his daughter is in permanent danger. It reminds me of a time in Melbourne when the deputy Premier of Vic was Arthur Rylah his daughter was the measuring stick for reality too. I can't remember if he had one or not.

The right to be able to allow these ideas is Bolt's because he was convicted and feels hard done by. According to Bolt they are merely thoughts that never entrench themselves. Ideas are calls to action and Andrew Bolt doesn't defend every persons right at all. In fact that right doesn't exist and hasn't existed in any society or any group we know of. Our very social structure is civilized because we vett ideas in some way or another and in some cases by governments and not by Section 18C alone. How is it plebiscites aren't held in the case of sending your boys to war  but one needs to be held if they choose to marry? We need to talk about this but Sheridan doesn't seem to feel the same urgency when it comes a fight. If someone disagreed out of conscience they were jailed and in a number of cases their supporters attacked on the streets for supporting them. Governments have done many things in the past silently to people who expressed themselves openly. Done things in secretly in fact and people like Bolt applaud. Jobs have been lost, people spied on, because they expressed ideas counter to the likes of Andrew Bolt who has demanded action be taken. Bolt uses the same arguments used when the Jews tried to have Goebbels's shut up it's his Democratic right to speak and not his fault people are being kicked to death.

When Shorten says " As Labor leader Bill Shorten said this week: “A ‘no’ campaign would be an emotional torment for gay teenagers, and if one child commits suicide over the plebiscite, then that is one too many.” Bolt calls this"moral blackmail to shut down a serious debate over a critical tradition meant to keep families together. Something one can believe civilized Nazis said when described as hate mongers they too cried foul like Bolt. However the difference the purpose of their demands however expressed were equality the purpose of Bolt's polite requests is quite the opposite it's the maintenance of inequality. That's a big difference and it was that which distinguished the Nazis from others. Bolt denies that Adam and Steve are equal and deserve the same rights as he does. The issue of stopping the boats was also and is still to day one of equality and a right to life not the possibility of drowning.

How boring Bolt and Peter BH play ping pong in a world of stale but now taken for granted ideas. Tony Abbott was kicked from office having been asked to be more collegiate and consutatative he chose not to be and was removed as promised no surprise to anybody.
Turnbull has been quite the opposite allowing wide discussions to take place which is something that takes more time. Time is not the measure of the man as Bolt seems to tell us. Abbott was the fastest son of a gun in making decisions but the slowest in passing bills the business of government. He's still shooting off his mouth  which indicates he really doesn't give a shit about the opinions of others in fact he's undermining them. No Abbott I'm afraid is not a team player.

This statistic is as stupid as Bolt is to quote it since 1988 and 2005 the institution of marriage has been on the decrease. To assume a causal link is proven between the introduction of a Law that has no effect whatsoever on marriage as it exists now and the choices heterosexuals make is beyond absurd. Besides the legal and cultural recognition of de-facto relationships might be far more relevant as might be the increase in the divorce rate. The inability to afford a wedding may also go a long way to explain this given no change has occurred among extreme conservatives who tend to be the most traditional and can afford the increasing costs involved in a marriage. In response to Abbott's claim that the arrival of the first fleet was Australia's most defining moment

Yesterday, Andrew Bolt addressed the issue on his show, claiming his rightful place on the “most offensive” throne, with guests Nikki Savva, a former Liberal party staffer, and Health Services Union manager Kimberley Kitching.
Bolt played an excerpt of Abbott’s speech and followed it up with this pearl of wisdom: “I think the fact he repeated it, suggested he really wanted people to hear it and react to it”.
Kitching timidly replied: “Yes but I think it’s better when a Prime Minister is inclusive, and I’m not sure that the first fleet arriving in boats full of convicts, really defines Australia today.”
Bolt scoffed at her.
“And what language are you speaking Kimberley?” he asked.
“English”
“Wow…” Bolt replied. “How could you… but this is the point. The ABC was full of predictable outrage yesterday from Aboriginal leaders, including Abbott’s own advisor Warren Mundine who seems to be operating as a one-man opposition within the government… the fact is you should be able to say the truth. It was the most defining moment in our history.”
Savva responded with her own version of Bolt’s argument:
“It was a statement of the bleeding obvious… and it might not be a happy statement of the bleeding obvious for Indigenous people, but the fact is that is what happened. That is why Australia is what it is today – now Indigenous people may wish it wasn’t so… but it is so.
“We are here, we are speaking English, we have a judicial system gained from the British, we have a parliamentary system gained from the British.”
Bolt interjected: “The rule of law”.

“The rule of law… all these things,” Savva said.
And then Bolt dropped the clanger: “And a lot of these are actually good. I found it amazing. Aboriginal leaders responding in English to this statement of the bleeding obvious… it sort of just plays into Abbott’s hands.”
Bolt is gleefully boasting about the political capital Abbott could have gained from the pain of Aboriginal people not being able to speak their traditional languages.
It really is a ‘statement of the bleeding obvious’: The reason Aboriginal people respond in English is because languages were ripped from their tongues by successive governments that aimed to either wipe away or assimilate Aboriginal cultures into mainstream Australia.
The history of the settlement of Australia described by Bolt and Savva is not “true” or “fact” – it is a whitewashed history that excludes the traumatic experiences of Aboriginal people and boasts about the barriers that push against them when they try to exercise their rights to culture, language and spirituality.
Australia is one of the world’s top hot spots for disappearing languages, which should be a shock to all citizens because languages are the portal to revitalising and reinvigorating cultural practices.
Languages are libraries of cultural knowledge. To Aboriginal people, they are as valuable as the commodities the big miners want to rip from our land.
For Bolt to undermine this, and instead react in amusement to the continual suppression of Indigenous languages and cultural practices, is one of the most offensive things I’ve heard from him. And I’ve heard him utter some pretty offensive things.
This lie that all Australians have benefited from systems gained from the British is also one that doesn’t weigh up with the evidence.
How then would you explain the fact the nation’s jails are brimming with Aboriginal men, women and children, on the losing end of a white justice system? Or ‘the rule of law’ as Bolt puts it.
This is not a happy statement of “the bleeding obvious” for Bolt or Savva. It is a stupid, and inaccurate statement that does nothing to help raise Aboriginal equality.
