Morrison's behaviour is indicative of a man that when threatened can only attack. It is emblematic of abusers. And in a prime minister, it is simply unacceptable.

It should be remembered that it was around this time, about a year out from the two previous Federal elections, that Rupert Murdoch intervened, employing his media might, to topple both former sitting prime ministers, Tony Abbott and Malcolm Turnbull (as well as the two Labor ones before that).

If anyone could save Morrison at this juncture, it would be Murdoch of course. But now, well, if even Murdoch has lost the appetite, as recent events would suggest, then Scotty’s days are numbered.

Last night Morrison turned to Costello's Ch9 not Murdoch to explain himself. Also a sign he's on a rocky and no longer solid foundation.

You don’t need me to tell you about all of the scandals, the corruption, the self-serving, insider trading, treachery and dirty double-dealing. IA has been covering it for ages, but let’s just recap some of the highlights.

Reefgate. Angus Taylor. Barnaby Joyce. Michaelia Cash. Sports rorts. Peter Dutton. Christian Porter. Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of the scandals. Forgive me if I missed your favourite.

All of this was common knowledge well before Louise Milligan pricked the Canberra Bubble on Four Corners back in November 2020.

Since then, we’ve learned of the severely problematic, brutal and deeply misogynist frat-boy culture inside Parliament House and heard allegations of rape, assault, sex workers smuggled into MPs offices and debauched “solo sex acts” by a cabal of depraved and privileged young men who think they are born to rule the world via their big swinging dicks.

We, the voters of Australia, are entitled to ask: “What the actual fark is going on?”

Advocates devastated after police reveal today that a man died a week ago when officers went to his Broken Hill house, the fourth Aboriginal death in custody this month.

According to statement, police pursued Mr Sullivan, 37, when he ran from the Silver St property. Soon after, they say, he suffered a "medical episode" and officers tried to resuscitate him, but he was declared dead at Broken Hill Hospital.

Mr Sullivan's death is the latest in a series of recent deaths in custody.

 

Too many young African-Australians are in jail. Some blame police, but the data tells a different story

African-Australian kids are being locked up at concerning rates and some believe racial profiling by police is to blame. That's unlikely, writes Stephane Shepherd.

While aspects of the model are not new (similar versions have been trialled in Scotland to counter knife violence) the combination of three principles are pivotal to the intervention:

• 'Focus' requires police to expend their energies and resources on the people and places where offending is likely to occur. By observing higher-risk individuals, they are less likely to cast a wide net and profile law-abiding young people.

• 'Balance' involves police immediately connecting high-risk young people with trusted service providers and mentors that can address the young person's complex needs and offer them pathways out of crime. This provides a non-punitive intervention for young people who are at-risk for a serious offence.

• 'Fairness' has police earning the support and legitimacy of the communities that experience the most intervention. This involves relentless outreach, transparency, and an open line of communication with the community to ensure that trust is maintained. Importantly, the community needs to be reassured that policing is held accountable and that avenues for complaint are taken seriously.

  Isn't it time to stop calling these kids "African" but rather the specific area they come from? One label doesn't fit all yet it stereotypes a greater number than are actually involved. After all we don't do the same for "European" immigrants, "Middle Eastern"or Asians. So why do we use the blanket term for Africans?

It seems Malcolm Turnbull private citizen is a far more astute political commentator than Andrew Bolt who all week has been hammering the women in the Liberal Party for their disloyalty, Julia Banks has been enemy number one as far as Bolt is concerned for moving to the crossbench a rapier move by a woman who hasn't the political skills of the boys club of the Liberal Party. All traitors in skirts for accusing these good old conservative boys of the party of being bullies.
 Now here's Bolt accusing Malcolm Turnbull of being a master bully whose not even in politics just a commentator like Bolt and sidestepping Jim Molan's threat of doing the same as Banks along with another carbon copy Craig Kelly also threatening to place the Morrison on the edge of a cliff. The conservatives are showing what they are made of placing Morrison on the edge of an early election in an attempt to save their butts. They are showing that bullish nature, spoken of by Banks, O'Dwyer, and Bishop and denied by Bolt whose desperately claiming it's all the work of that private citizen Malcolm Turnbull who was always an incompetent politician, unlike the unwanted and misunderstood Tony Abbott.
It seems the conservatives have been inspired to move to the crossbench by a mass movement against them as also witnessed in the drop in support given Tony Abbott in Warringah. Surely now Abbott has the opportunity to threaten the same as Molan and Kelly and start that new Party always talked of? Let's face it, it's not as if he's not up to it now that the majority of Liberal MPs are no longer "his" team players or ones easily manipulated.
Bolt's deflection away from the history of the Abbott lead conservatives blaming Turnbull is like watching Trump a liar caught red-handed trying to find a cheap alibi and do it on the spot quickly because the house of bullshit previously built is crumbling before everyone's eyes. Abbott can't jump like Molan or Kelly because that would mean the loss of Murdoch and  IPA support who would walk away from the has been. He has to be pushed and Warringah needs to do it. Blaming Turnbull isn't convincing as he's simply another Bolt in the bleachers and entitled to be.
However, unlike Bolt he's not just another pathetic commentator drowning struggling and clutching at straws trying to save his ego with commentaries that go "I", "I" "I"  and "Turnbull" "Turnbull" "Turnbull". The length of Bolt's post simply shows the desperation and the lack of evidence he has just as he accused Julia Banks of being unable to come up with proof. He has none.
Barking mad frothing at the mouth constantly accusing others at poor English this ultra-conservative media cyclops has once again revealed himself to be little more than the unwelcomed fart in an overcrowded elevator trying to say someone else did it.

The Clinton Foundation has been investigated however now it's time for the Trump Foundation to have the bunsen burner put on its belly and criminal charges and misuse will be laid. Bolt distraction is really poorly done because it actually draws attention to Trump using his Foundation as a personal piggy bank and further continuing business with the Russians while running for the Presidential nominee. The Clinton's and greed next to Trump's history of money grabbing single-mindedness is nothing that can be diverted when the fact is the Trump Foundation has been charged.

Bolt had his go at smacking down women in politics and in particular one that the men of the Monkey Pod Room are about to follow Julia Banks. Bolt somehow wants to argue because the majority of students didn't strike that somehow shows the majority of Australian Adults don't believe in Climate Change. Mocking kids one might ask is that what Andrew Bolt regards is great parenting, education or is it simply the mark of yet another smart arsed bully. Bolt doesn't just miss those events the Herald Sun avoids printing them. Did Bolt notice his alarmism had a negative ripple effect on the voting outcomes in Victoria? BRIANNA'S LESSON: HOW MEDIA GROUP THINK IS ENFORCED

Column Readers often ask me: why do many journalists cave in to groupthink on controversial topics such as global warming or immigration? Or, say, African crime gangs? To answer, let me explain what was done to Brianna Travers this week after she interviewed the mother of a woman killed in a fight between two groups of Africans.

However applying the Bolt logic and statistics on Immigration to the media we find Bolt to be an "outlier" a recidivist vilifier defamer and object of countless charges and complaints handed to the APC and the AHRC none of which or whom he recognizes to be his judges but who nevertheless upholders of our Australian values of fair go.
 Bolt's a prolific rule breaker in our media has shown he's statistically more likely to break the rules than any other person in our media circles. He skews the record so much so that the media are some 500 times more likely to break the rules set for journalism and journalists.  He singularly has raised the statistics of that small group has given them a bad name and has taken their image of bad behaviour to stratospheric heights, knows it and doesn't care. All for the sake of ratings and attention. It's why he lobbies the government to wipe his record clean and constantly cries unfair.
So applying Bolt's very logic and statistics to Immigration and the South Sudanese. News Corp Journalism and journalists don't integrate into the values of our Media system they degrade it and our values and should be removed.  The complaints about Bolt alone skew statistics on News Corp and if are applied to the News Corp community suggest that they should be banned. But that's only if we don't take into account Bolt's intransigent recidivism and multiple rule-breaking charges which skew the reputation of his community. Simply showing it can't integrate.
Like Andrew Bolt when he tries to vilify the whole South Sudanese community for the actions of a few when it's done to him or one of his he cries foul.  Recidivists like himself with a record of multiple charges and repeated crimes skew statistics and Bolt uses them to stereotype whole communities as does his mate below Tony Abbott below neither of which belong in their chosen professions if they apply their own logic as they do the Sudanese. They more than the Sudanese don't integrate with our values and spend their time telling us just that.

 Abbott's Logic: targets the Sudanese just like Andrew Bolt however when applied to the Tony Abbott's Gang of extreme conservatives it proves they don't belong in our Australian political, social or cultural systems.

 The extreme Conservatives Politicians like TonyAbbott have been caught out lying countless times and damaging the reputation of politics since he was 18.  Caught molesting women, damaging public property. threatening opponents, abusing his expenditure accounts, taking undeclared and questionable gifts and has simply proved his extreme gang of conservatives with their rampant individualism and nationalism are more likely to break the parliamentary rules some 100 times more than the majority of all other MPs. They can't integrate with their own party let alone Australian politics as a whole. Abbott's dysfunctional activities alone have raised the statistical record of the bad behaviour and downgraded and skewed the reputations of all politicians.
Abbott has proved he and his ilk are outliers. So applying Abbott's own logic, statistical method and resultant conclusions to Sudanese it shows his extreme Conservatives can't integrate with the LNP or the Australian parliamentary system. Constantly promising to change they don't but they skew and ensure we all feel Politics doesn't any longer work. 
Their behaviour and values fail us as a whole. So we need to call them into question and ask whether they even belong in our Australian parliament at all. So taking into account the Abbott Gang's rampant Nationalism, Individualism, failure to integrate, their persistent, destructive multiple ongoing bad behaviours, their contribution to the waste of our public monies the damage to rational policies, their constant recidivism and failure to change it proves them to be different totally dysfunctional and unable to change or fit.  If this logic applied to Abbott is wrong and Bolt would be the first to tell us it is then why when applied to South Sudanese Australians isn't it skewed, bigoted, racist, and simply wrong? After all, Tony Abbott is a member of our Australian political system. Unless we are bigots do the actions of a few and skewed stats allow us to negatively stereotype whole communities irrationally simply because we are racists and see political opportunity?

Mr Abbott said Sudanese-born people in Victoria constituted less than 0.1 per cent of the population, but was responsible for "well over" 1 per cent of all crimes committed in that state, and was 57 times more likely to commit aggravated robbery than the general population. ( no mention by Abbott that recidivism and multiple charges of a few skews these stats)
"So there is a problem," he said. "It's an African gang problem, and the Victorian socialist government should get real and own up to the fact that there is an African gang problem in Melbourne."

Mr Abbott called into question the integration of all African migrants.
"I guess the big question though is: why do we store up trouble for ourselves by letting in people who are going to be difficult, difficult to integrate?" he asked.

Doesn't attack just Gawenda but one of the finest universities in the world. How desperate is Bolt or should I say isolated when he demeans all our institutions so constantly. Gawenda is right the Herald Sun Journalist has written an article that has had doubt about its authenticity questioned. The Journalist according to Bolt has been maligned why for facts no simply because he keeps repeating she's young and she works for the Herald Sun. Two reasons why the request for verification is more than reasonable and if Andrew Bolt is her defence advocate or mentor and given his disrespect for facts it's even a greater reason to ask for the proof of what was written by Brianna her tape and notes.

Bolt, by the way, attacked even that Institution we call our law and he believes today he was shafted by a left-wing Jewish judge simply for his politics. That Bromberg is never to be forgiven just ridden roughshod over by his mate Tony Abbott but oops, that never happened.
Andrew Bolt works so damn hard to obscure even the most visible of facts if they don't fit his narrative. He will turn to the most obscure and unrelated ones to make his point. So who on earth would go out of their way to believe him here and now?

So the ACCC said governments might want to consider underwriting debt finance for project developers seeking to supply power to commercial and industrial customers. Think of this as guaranteeing a bank loan.
In order to qualify for the putative help, the project would need to be large enough to serve the needs of a large number of customers, and capable of providing a “firm” product.
If a firm generation product is a new concept for you, it could be a few things. Possibly new coal, yes, in some universe where someone is prepared to pay a premium and wait many years for the asset to be built and take the risks associated with the plant becoming a stranded asset as the world decarbonises.
But meanwhile, in the real world, this would more likely be a renewables project firmed by gas or pumped hydro, given that would be quicker and cheaper to build, without the long-term downside risks that coal invites.
So to recap, the word coal wasn’t used by the ACCC in the context of this recommendation. Neither was the word baseload.

Yet Joyce apparently lied to him: "Turnbull told his colleagues in August last year that Barnaby Joyce had assured him his affair with a staff member was over." (Hmm, so why do Turnbull's staff claim the Prime Minister knew nothing of this affair?)

ABC COSTS EVERY PERSON $40 A YEAR, OR 11 CENTS A DAY

The Friends of the ABC can't do maths: "The inaugural ABC Annual Public Meeting was told today that the ABC had been slashed since 1988 when the famous “Eight-cents-per-day” ABC TV promotion was first aired – to just four cents." Many journalists repeated that false claim. In fact, the ABC costs us each 11 cents a day.

Bolt seems to ignore the fact that Abbott cut the ABC budget by $200 mill that's 20% on his figures and that inflation has had an enormous impact since 1988  just on the basis of those two things alone the ABC's budget has been massively slashed. The pop of Aus in 1988 was 17mill and the ABC cost $500 mill or $29 per year to run roughly a 30% increase in 30 years when living costs have increased x8.
 Bolt's wages haven't been that efficient or cost-effective that's for sure.  When it comes down to value for money who would Australians vote for given Bolt's a 30% subsidy paid for by us to a company that pays little or no tax. Ratings indicate he's certainly not value for money. 

CHILDREN ENDANGERED AS ABC REPEATS DISCREDITED "STOLEN GENERATIONS" CLAIMS

The ABC in a special report peddles discredited claims about the "stolen generations" - claiming "up to 100,000 children" were stolen from their Aboriginal parents simply to be "assimilated". It then interviews a woman insisting "they have to stop taking our kids". Result: officials too often leave Aboriginal children with dangerous parents.

Bolt ever so readily accuses the ABC not of redressing the errors of Historians but the total revision of history which he regards as having "saved" Aboriginal Children rather than having "stolen" them. However his single get out clause is that some a minimal of errors were made in sending these kids from one set of brutal circumstances to another as have been documented in the harsh conditions Bolt denies existed in Religious and State Welfare institutions.  The exaggeration on Bolt's side is the fact the administration of welfare provided these kids was one glove fits all approach. Siblings were separated children were told their relatives had died only in some cases not reunited for some 50 years if at all. Bolt makes no mention of what actually occurred but simply focuses on the general policy it's intent not it's practice.

He readily blames the Poverty of Aboriginal Culture as an absolute which fails to explain the impact of Colonial Culture which remains and is in fact reflected in Bolt's seeming insistent denial that Western Colonial Culture had no negative impact on the First Australians. Where did the estimated 750k peoples go leaving 2/3rd s missing after 40k years? Why has the introduction of Bolt's  Humane Welfare been such an absolute failure and what was its intention given it wasn't until the 60s that a single Aborigine gained a tertiary degree. 200 years and suddenly many are more educated that Bolt himself. Not by the way because they have denied their Culture but because many didn't allow the negative impact of the West influence them.

How is it we are seeing the increasing negativity of Western Culture impacting on whites and blacks alike, in fact, it's fast becoming colourless with poverty, homelessness, drugs, alcohol, mental ill health spreading like wildfire across Australia and not in just the Aboriginal communities. For Bolt to suggest that Aborigines have been treated fairly since Invasion Day as well as other Australians is the myth being countered hear and White bad behaviour and attitudes have endured ever since and are reflected in Andrew Bolt himself. Then the Dutch certainly didn't have a record of just treatment and attitudes in its Colonies either. They certainly aren't missed in Sth Africa or Indonesia and currently, extreme right-wing attitudes like Andrew Bolt's also flourish in the Netherlands as well. It's not difficult to see where Bolt's aloofness stems from.

ABC managing director Michelle Guthrie wants the ABC to be more "diverse" in ethnicity, rather than opinion: "Guthrie has made a commitment to diversity one of her central ambitions at the nat­ional broadcaster, and has a goal for the ABC to 'look and sound like Australia'." But last week she met 400 ABC audience members: almost all white.

Bolt's is more than stupid isn't he? He's ignoring the presence of SBS and NITV as public broadcasters of note.It's as if they don't exist for him and they don't. He'd prefer none of them to in his desire for a privatised world.

 Michelle Guthrie isn't distressed but it seems Andrew Bolt certainly is. If he attends meetings the only reason people of diverse backgrounds might attend are there to protest or they are there to buy. Bolt hates visibility in public places because he's paranoid and insecure. The fact that Guthrie wants to "Look and sound Australian" is admirable she celebrates diversity. Andrew Bolt certainly doesn't.

ESSENTIAL POLL BLOW TO TURNBULL: LABOR 54% TO COALITION 46%

Last week's Newspoll - the Coalition 48 per cent to Labor's 52 - sparked a flurry of reports about Malcolm Turnbull's "comeback". I warned it was premature, not least because a slight Coalition rise was due to an unlikely halving of support for Pauline Hanson. Today's Essential Poll is a corrective: the Coalition 46 per cent to Labor's 54.

It doesn't point to the woefull polling seen when Abbott was PM that's for sure. Peter Dutton  and Scott Morrison offer nothing to lift stocks. So this excercise for the moment seems fruitless. If "not 'all' to do with Barnaby Joyce" Bolt doesn't offer any insight into what it does have to do with.

"AFRICAN" STABS TO MEN IN MELBOURNE

Again "perceived to be of African appearance," doesn't stop Bolt drawing the conclusions as proof of a trend due to our refugee program. Despite the fact, the ABS clearly released figures that have shown a dramatic drop in the crime rate in the past two years. Nor does he mention that it was a 17 year old not likely to be a refugee charged with murder yesterday or the other crimes of violence in a city of 5mill people that happen to have been caused by white Christians highly likely to be connected to immigrant families as well. Cause and correlation are terms that never get in Bolt's way when it comes to blame. If and African laughs in Africa that's sufficient for Bolt to connect it to crimes committed by Africans in Melbourne. Jew haters do just that to any economic shift on the planet they blame the Jews as Bolt does the Africans Muslims and other minorities he simply dislikes.
