Fighting Fake News with Real,8/7/19; Trump's allies say he's INEPT; Murhochian's covering for Trump's really bad week; Roger Ailes a Real News Doco;

The presidency of Donald Trump, pictured alongside first lady Melania Trump. has been scathingly criticised by a senior British diplomat.

White House 'inept', says UK ambassador in trove of leaked memos

Donald Trump's White House is "uniquely dysfunctional" and "inept", according to a cache of scathing leaked memos from the UK's ambassador in Washington.
The documents detail Sir Kim Darroch's assessments of the Trump administration from 2017 to the present - and could prove highly embarrassing for Britain's Foreign Office.
A Foreign Office spokesman said: "The British public would expect our ambassadors to provide ministers with an honest, unvarnished assessment of the politics in their country.
"Their views are not necessarily the views of ministers or indeed the government.
"But we pay them to be candid. Just as the US ambassador here will send back his reading of Westminster politics and personalities.

Give Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize! Or is this yet another award hijacked by and for the Left? Andrew Bolt has been reduced to a copywriter for News Corp. Putting out headlines searching for subscriptions. Nothing really to see here.

Is Andrew Bolt trying to get Trump's attention and a job at Fox central USA? It's where the money is, and he's lost some recently. Is he showing what he can do or is doing for Trump down under? Is he trying to let the Don know he's the leader of the Donald Trump fan club Hannity Downunder and he too works for Rupert?

I guess his mental state is in step with Trump's. His view of the planet its history does represent an even smaller shrinking group than it did before 2013 and it has even become smaller since 2016 when Trump became the President. A President who believes if it weren't for General Washington's airforce the US would still be in British control. There is a problem. However, Bolt's opinion of Trump is on very public record when he regarded Trump the most ridiculous candidate for the Presidency and quite the reverse of what it is now he's saying. On the 12/10/16 it was more in line with what the UK ambassador thinks of Trump today.... totally INEPT. The Ambassador was referring to the whole Administration which Trump heads and is made up of ex-Fox News and executive staff and not in any single way professionals. Family, his most inexperienced advisers, running the administration as if they were all running the 7 companies Trump brought to bankruptcy. Lawyers the highest paid of Trump's admin guards. "So much for his judgement and his future as Ambassador: "Leaked diplomatic cables reveal that Britain’s ambassador to the United States regards Donald Trump’s administration as inept... 'We don’t really believe this administration is going to become substantially more normal; ... less diplomatically clumsy and inept,” Mr Darroch wrote."  This is precisely what ambassadors are meant to do when acting as advisors to their government

UK Ambassador: Trump ‘radiating insecurity,’ inventing ‘false statistics’ and Dreads Unpopularity of any War with Iran

Bolt believes if it weren't for Trump Alek Sigley would not have been released. His proof none. Who is Alek Sigley?  If he's now to become the most important Australian, no person, on the Planet and it seems he is according to Andrew Bolt trying to save Trump's image Downunder. He MUST get the Nobel prize? Even Trump doesn't seem to have heard of Alek until now. If he didn't exist, they'd have to have invented one. But then the Murdoch Corporation or Fox Corp have, and they are now Trump and America's foremost State Media, and Bolt is just a paid muppet doing his duty. Let's not forget what Roger Ailes said just before he was sacked for being caught and costing Murdoch some $163mill in settlements. It wasn't time for him to go because Fox/Ailes Media had still to chose the next President and they did even without him because the system was in place to do just that.

Former Fox correspondent: The "access" that Fox hosts have to Trump is "questionable, if not dangerous"

Trump has always had a"special" relationship with Ailes Fox and now Murdoch.

Roger Ailes in The Fox Studios, 2011.

Roger Ailes Movie: 'Divide and Conquer' Review – Rolling Stone

Andrew Bolt has in fact elevated Kim to the status of the most influential man on the planet who in fact is far far more deserving of the Peace Prize because he invited Trump to Nth Korea after the Don failed to impress at the G20 where we know Ivanka stole his thunder.

Distraction is the tool of PR merchants when it's so apparent their client has had a horrible week and need breathing space.  Bolt is the living example of how Roger Ailes changed the nature of News in the English speaking world and handed it to Murdoch on a platter. NZ an Canada are two English speaking Nations where Murdoch doesn't have a presence and nor will you find this form of media stupidity or leadership running their countries.

Roger Ailes Movie: ‘Divide and Conquer’ Review – Rolling Stone

After creating Fox News and after 20+ years Ailes was asked was he ready to go he said no not yet. "I still have to choose the next President", and he did even though he was gone. They are doing it in the UK and did it in Aus as well. However not in NZ or Canada where Murdoch doesn't exist or have a hold as yet. (ODT)

Alexis Bloom’s documentary explores the arrogance of power and the creation of Fox News  Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes, a well-researched and richly observant documentary from Alexis Bloom about the climate of lies and systemic abuse that nurtured Ailes and allowed his behaviour to flourish.

Fox News, where Ailes could make stars of Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity — who could, in turn, further his political agenda — is a daunting subject that gives this documentary size and purpose. Sadly, Bloom stays mostly on the surface when she needs to plumb the depths of a network that helped Ailes define himself and create a new world of propaganda disguised as news. Talking heads, railing about how they’re mad as hell, was only a prophecy in the 1976 film Network. Ailes made it a reality. Divide and Conquer paints a scary portrait of the arrogance of power, of news as a tool for sale, of a family man who morphed at work into a raging bully, demanding sexual favours and unquestioned obedience as his divine right. And getting away with it. For Ailes, it was good to be the king. Until it wasn’t. In Divide and Conquer, a disturbing study of depravity in full toxic bloom, Bloom makes it clear that it did happen here and that we can’t let it happen again.

Problem is it's here, and it hasn't gone away, and Murdoch intends to make it stay and have the ABC gone. (ODT)

Anderw Bolt's Blog 23/3/19; Sociopathy of the Right Murdoch's toxic media voice permeates Australia; Morrison's low shots against Islam can't begin to compare with Andrew Bolt's; Truth the difference matters facts and fiction News Corpse is killing the difference;

Sociopathy as Strength: The Modern Right - » The Australian Independent Media Network

Sociopathy is a broad term that refers to various personality defects. In this instance, I am using the term in the popular sense to mean one who is devoid of empathy for their fellow humans. The resultant lack of empathy often leads to cruelty. This has largely been the approach of right wing governments over the decades. Instead of taking a compassionate and humanistic approach to the issues of the day, the right demands conformity. Indeed, conformity is the price for safety.
As examples of the ostracism principle, consider how Trump treats anyone who looks at him sideways. Alternatively, consider Morrison’s or Canavan’s response to the protesting climate kids. Even if brownshirts do not yet exist and our so-called leaders are not yet actual fascists, they are hardline ideologues who are about using fear to control the population. We will keep you safe from this thing over which we keep stoking fear. Don’t believe me? Let us take a look back.
Compassion is not weakness, and we need to stop viewing in this way. It is possible for humanity to do better than this. We need to stop seeing governmental sociopathy as strength. Rather, we need to see it for what it is: vindictive cruelty designed to maximise fear, breed conformity and maintain the current power structure.

  1. Morrison said all the right things after Christchurch, but his history tells another story

Morrison's call for an end to tribalism would have been more potent if his side of politics had not made it their standard modus operandi in the past 25 years, writes Laura Tingle.

Morrison's history of taking low shots is too obvious to most people to allow him to be able to really exercise leadership in this space.

But if you are really trying to stop it, you don't immediately respond to someone else attacking you with dodgy moral equivalence that begins in sentences like "I'm not going to be lectured by a party that.....", rather than acknowledging possible fault, or at least arguing your own position rather than simply attacking the other side.
And you don't, just now, try to find the positive side to a politician who refers to Islam as a disease.
The Coalition's track record when it comes to its preparedness to, at the very least isolate, and often tar the Muslim community in a way which excludes it has been in the spotlight all week in the wake of the Christchurch murders.

Yo-yo Morrison And The Ups-And-Downs Of Making A Decision! - » The Australian Independent Media Network

Getting your point across with reason

Yes, leadership has its ups-and-downs, but I don’t think that I’ve ever seen someone who moves up and down as much as the human yo-yo, Scott Morrison. You know how the yo-yo works: it reaches the end of the string and it hurries back up to the top only to immediately sink again.
I guess the thing that struck me about Yo-yo Mo’s threat to sue Aly was the simple fact that Waleed was reporting something that had been widely reported in various sources years ago. When it was first reported, our PM told us that he didn’t comment on Cabinet discussions. Not so last night, where he assured us that he brought up concerns about Muslim immigration because he wanted to “address them”. He didn’t explain how he hoped to address them as Shadow Opposition Immigration minister. Maybe he planned to help promote unity by complaining about the taxpayer funding flights to the funeral services of asylum seekers who perished when the ship crashed on Christmas Island.
Or perhaps he was trying to help last night when he assured us that there were over fifty people on Manus and Nauru who had “character” concerns. When asked how many of them were actually “rapists, murderers and pedophiles”, he was less clear, but it was clearly “significantly more than one”…
Is three significantly more than one? It is 300% after all.
Still, I’m not sure what the point is. Is he suggesting that a non-convicted pedophile with a life-threatening condition which couldn’t be treated on Nauru would be allowed to die because we couldn’t keep them under control if they came to Australia? I mean, George Pell was taken to hospital because he’s got the flu and he’s an actual convicted sex offender.
Watching last night, I couldn’t help but think that this Waleed Aly interview will be called a “trainwreck” which – as I wrote a few weeks ago, trains actually have tracks which they go off; this mob in Canberra resemble a car where the fighting for the steering wheel has become so intense that the wheel itself has ended up in the boot.

The Ghost of Fascism in the Post-Truth Era.

Truth has no place in Bolt's world speech has no meaning other than the power of those with the ability to be heard. We saw Bolt's message in the fiasco called meaningful reasoned debate between him and Dr Robert Di Natali on the Bolt Report.  Andrew Bolt failed to listen or bother to communicate, but then he had no intention to do either, and it showed. (ODT)
While questions about truth have always been problematic among politicians and the wider public, both groups gave lip service to the assumption that the search for truth and respect for its diverse methods of validation were based on the shared belief that “truth is distinct from falsehood; and that, in the end, we can tell the difference and that difference matters.”[1] It certainly appeared to matter in democracy, particularly when it became imperative to be able to distinguish, however difficult, between facts and fiction, reliable knowledge and falsehoods, and good and evil. That however no longer appears to be the case.

PERSECUTED CHURCH: PRIEST STABBED DURING TV MASS

Scenes of the persecuted church. In Canada, a Catholic priest is stabbed as he conducts a Mass on TV. In Australia, a Sydney University student magazine publishes a front-page cartoon of Cardinal George Pell being hanged. In Britain, an Iranian Christian is denied asylum because his faith is "violent". These are frightening times.

PAYWALL
Firstly Bolt didn't seem to care that the Priest's stabbing in Montreal wasn't related to terrorism according to the police. We can be assured. Bolt will just walk away from that one. Never however admitting he was wrong.
Bolt's back trying to convince us our cup is half empty his innocence and joy stolen by those who'd disparage the Catholic Church. But you need to remember Bolt's an Agnostic and a living Oxymoron. But then his sensationalist banner is really only trying to sell News Corpse papers an Institution unto itself, not unlike the Church that's as influential and sits shoulder to shoulder with the with it in business. When and if Murdoch could be found on a balcony with the Pope at say Easter or the Fox Corp celebrations. Bolt, if he were in the crowd, would be heard yelling "whose that up there with Rupert?"

PAYWALL
Andrew Bolt selling Newspapers has taken the un-independent line of the Vatican of News Corpse and head office USA.  The truth of the matter was a counterintelligence exercise to investigate if there was any Russian government effort to interfere with the US 2016 election. The FAKE News was Trump's efforts with the assistance of FOX to redefine the investigation into an investigation of Trump's collusion with Russia. The line which Bolt is taking here and is as Fake as his celebrity suntan.
".So far, his investigation has ventured into work done by former Trump advisers and Russian nationals. Thirty-four people have been charged with wrongdoing. "

THE MADNESS OF THE DEMOCRATS: BETO AND THE BESERKERS

Conrad Black on Beto O'Rourke: "A hyperactive limb-flailing imbecile, babbling compulsively in a torrent of extremist nonsense. This is the candidate the media have been looking for." Matthew Walter: "Why are Democrats so weird?...  I do want to know is whether he actually took a handful of green feces, put it in a bowl, and served it to his wife."

18m Link

Let's begin with who Bolt references for this post, Conrad Black. Imagine if anyone referenced Duncan Storrah or Zacky Malka for any opinion piece what Andrew Bolt would have done in disparagement. He refused and never forgotten them for their pasts. However, Conrad Black has been forgiven.  There we have it Bolt's stance that he really believes in any sort of equivalency is bullshit.

Conrad Moffat Black, Baron Black of Crossharbour, KCSG is a Canadian-born British former newspaper publisher, author, and convicted felon. In 2007, Black was convicted on four counts of fraud in U.S. District Court in Chicago.
Black has been barred from entering the United States for 30 years though that could be appealed at any time. He has expressed no interest in returning to the United States.[89]

Bolt's second pick Matthew Walther writes for The Spectator The American Conservative a sure thing for a balanced opinion. But then Bolt just might be struggling to find a list of Democrats to mock.

DI NATALE'S MISSING LINK

Curious. Greens leader Richard di Natale asked to come on my Sky News show and came with written notes to read from. He clearly wanted to make a public statement about me and Sky, yet has not since referred to or linked to the debate we then had. Total silence, including from most of his green army. Why? Didn't it go quite as hoped? See and judge.

4m Link

Is it any surprise Andrew Bolt is writing about himself, and it's not a Paywall? Bolt's yelling, screaming are qualities that Dr Richard di Natali wanted to highlight what he calls "debate" a word he's never understood. Now Bolt somehow regards a reasoned rational and a defeat when all it was was a circus on Bolt's part emotionally zig zagging around the globe declaring Dr di Natale a loser for what Bolt accused him of "not knowing". Something happened in Senegal, the Philipines Montreal pick a place and an event connect them and yell now that's reasoned and rational. You have to laugh he didn't know he was wrong and the stabbing in Montreal wasn't according to police terror related.

Nevertheless, Bolt knows the devious Green and doctor was on his show to "harm" him Sorry Andrew Bolt The leader of the Greens has never been seen to attack or attempt GBH on anybody and the same can't be said however of you.
What we have here is Andrew Bolt in some weird fashion admitting he was going over the top screaming and frothing at the mouth but is blaming Dr di Natali for his tilt. Guess those Muslims were to blame for Tarrant's irrational outburst too.
Why if Bolt while he thinks he's so smart always puts his foot in his mouth? First, he goes home feeling guilty as shit about how badly his show went and how he came across. He then does even worse by not shutting up coming out trying to blame "them" in this case "him" for his dummy spit.
Go back and think about deleting this piece of stupidity Bolt you might feel better.
Waleed Aly did an Interview with our PM Bolt could but won't use that as a yardstick to measure his own interview techniques it starts with listening. Understanding the other point of view rather than flooding the space with " I, I, I, I.... Otherwise, Bolt could have comfortably sat alone as he always does and editorialised.

Fox News Didn’t Care About Sexual Harassment Until You Knew About It

News Corp Murdoch Media
News parts ways with longtime host Bill O’Reilly, some may be tempted to claim that his departure is a sign that the network and its parent company, 21st Century Fox, care about women who have been sexually harassed. But the decision has nothing to do with the systemic toxic misogyny Fox News traffics in; it’s about the bottom line. Bolt harasses women, children the Indigenous, Muslims and goes home and kisses his kids. They know he does it for the money. But you are what you do Andrew Bolt!!      Angelo Carusone Tells Roland Martin That Fox Rewarded O'Reilly For "Misogyny, Preying On Racial Anxieties, And Misinformation"

POLICEMAN KILLED IN PARIS. ISIS CLAIMS CREDIT

POLICEMAN KILLED IN PARIS. ISIS CLAIMS CREDIT

A gunman has killed one policeman and injured another in an attack in Paris' Champs Elysees. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility. And on Sunday France will hold its presidential elections.

The extreme right in Europe wants wants Le Penn to to win the election. They are as crazy as ISIS  who wants her to win as well but it's not in their advantage to declare that they were the motivators behind such a killing. Bolt doesn't know what is going on but he's prepared to believe anything said by ISIS first. Because he knows "preying on ethnic and religious anxieties along with misinformation is advantageous for extreme right politics here as well.
Bolt applies it in the same way ISIS does and is an enabler the only difference being he's applying it  primarily in the interests of News Corp whose bottom line is served not by truth but right wing politics and the cash flow associated with it. If advertizers began deserting News Corp because of  Andrew Bolt as they did Bill O'Reilly Bolt would be doing a Latham. Maybe the IPA would find him some action somewhere. But if so on the nose I doubt it.
Paris and what happened has more to do with domestic politics than it has to do with religion and all to do with Sunday's election and Le Penn.
Update
Le Penn was the first politician straight out of the gate to use it in her campaign as if she had written this scenario for just this campaign occasion. No surprises expect more to come before Sunday. French election could reshape the Western world

ABC FLUNKS TURNBULL'S CITIZENSHIP TEST

My editorial from The Bolt Report: Malcolm Turnbull's new citizenship might not actually keep out wife-beaters and terrorists. But the fact that the ABC flunked it today shows why it's needed.

If Bolt had to apply today for citizenship what are the odds he'd flunk. I took him 35 years to start feeling Australian and he was born here. He says he is now but can't define what it means to be Australian. 1) He wears a suit or close to a suit all the time is that Australian? 2) His dogs are Dutch and his garden is Dutch is that Australian? 3) He's Agnostic a fence sitter is that Australian? 4) He doesn't holiday here or seem to have a great deal of friends is that Australian? 5) The ABC is symbolic of Australia connects Australians and not just in the city. It reaches out Bolt tries to drag you in. Is that Australian? 6) Do Australians see themselves in Andrew Bolt is he what makes us proud pigs ass he does.

Bolt has a deluded  image of what he expects Australia is and that's why he's always disappointed he hasn't the slightest grip on reality. It's why he unsocial not seen in public secretive and really needn't sit for the test because he's got a fence post up his ass. He's also a convicted vilifier and liar lost defamation suits and just generally not a laid back guy. He should apply for the vacant position at Fox News the guy he modeled himself on has just been sacked.

  THE TURNBULL PARTY

THE TURNBULL PARTY

That is a hell of a new letterhead on Malcolm Turnbull's mass mailout. It's a Liberal mailout, so he can't use the Prime Minister's seal, but why hasn't be used the Liberal logo? Why a personal logo with a giant M.
The nasty  war  of secrets that only Tony Abbott knows how to play. The leak about the Warringah polls at this time onl advantages who? Tony Abbott of course his song " Look what theyve done to my poll mum" is not a new one in politics. If the leak is in your advantage "Just do it". Now couple that with the banging of a tin drum by drummer boy Bolt you have a wall of sound. Abbott sound which we have all seen before. All this was happening as Turnbull was doing a Trump and taking a step to the right with his Australia First stance. Turnbull has for extremely unfortunate reasons taken the wind out of Hanson, Bernardi's sails and brought attention to himself while also shutting the Abbott camp down. Tony had to do something to smear him and like in the days of old he did. He's been doing things like this since he was 18 claiming his innocence and getting away with it. So why is he going to stop now?“Why on earth some genius would seek to derail the government’s message in this way is just absolutely beyond me.”Abbott
Lucky Brits when do we get our snap election?
Update
Abbott is burying himself within his own Party. Howard and he  are certainly not allies. MPs who once support supported him won't vote for him. Cate McGregor spilt all on the Drum a friend of Tony's has stated he's gone past the tipping point and Mc Gregor believes if Turnbull falls Julie Bishop will be called up. Eat your heart our Andrew Bolt you even think McGregor is astute.
