'Elect a Labor government' for Bob Hawke, Penny Wong says

Penny Wong says the best way to honour Bob Hawke's legacy is to "elect a Labor government".
Labor's leader in the Senate said a Shorten government would carry on the Hawke legacy of extending "opportunity and fairness".

"He is one of our great Australians and a Labor legend," Ms Wong said in Melbourne's Prahran on Friday while campaigning with Higgins candidate Fiona McLeod.

"In fact, it’s hard to find the words to express what Bob Hawke meant to the labour movement and also to Australia, and we’re doing what he told us to do.

Bob Hawke death: Tony Abbott Twitter statement stirs controversy

Mr Abbott’s statement on Twitter, released an hour after Mr Hawke’s death was announced, said the former head of the ACTU and Labor’s longest-serving prime minister, “had a Labor heart but a Liberal head”.

Can anybody explain what Abbott meant by that? Sounds like another CANADIA moment to Australians. Can you offer an explanation Andrew Bolt?

I was so inspired that I twice worked for Labor when he was Prime Minister. One thing I don't hear Labor MPs today explain is why Labor sacked him. His fall, and the change in Labor afterwards is a warning.

 Trying to capture Hawke for himself is a form ao abuse and trolling but then it's Tony Abbott.

Note "a mourning public" can smell insincerity a mile away. An Australian "public" obviously the enemy as far as Andrew Bolt is concerned and the term actually suggests a majority and not a minority as Bolt desperately tries to make out for another Abbott faux pas.
 In what capacity does Tony Abbott have to make a public statement about Bob Hawke an Australian Labour consensus politician who was diametrically opposed to anything Abbott? In what role or right does Abbott have to crash the funeral? Definitely, at a stretch, he became PM because of the ALP not because of anything positive the Liberals had to offer just all no, no, no. So any yes at this stage in light of the election it makes Abbott look phony like him saying he believes in Climate Change.
Any laudatory remarks about Hawke by Bolt seem just as fake and hollow and viewed from the prism of reality honest and sick.
So much for the fake grief about Bob Hawke, the real mourning will be felt in Warringah if possible near political death of Tony Abbott isn't accomplished. Note how Bolt uses Abbott as a PAYWALL carrot to sell the Herald Sun. Bolt needs Abbott like he needs the ABC like Right-Wing Israeli government needs Hamas. At least they are admitting that.

After all Peter Foster was jailed for selling false product shouldn't Bolt?

Morrison warns 'now is not the time' to switch to Labor

The Prime Minister attacked Labor over its policy agenda and promised voters "I will burn for you every day" if re-elected.

Morrison's only policy is a warning that sounds more like "You will burn in hell if you don't vote for me" Sounds more like what a tent preacher would say than a leader of a political party with a plan.
