Penny Wong says the best way to honour Bob Hawke's legacy is to "elect a Labor government".

 In what capacity does Tony Abbott have to make a public statement about Bob Hawke an Australian Labour consensus politician who was diametrically opposed to anything Abbott? In what role or right does Abbott have to crash the funeral? Definitely, at a stretch, he became PM because of the ALP not because of anything positive the Liberals had to offer just all no, no, no. So any yes at this stage in light of the election it makes Abbott look phony like him saying he believes in Climate Change.
Any laudatory remarks about Hawke by Bolt seem just as fake and hollow and viewed from the prism of reality honest and sick.
So much for the fake grief about Bob Hawke, the real mourning will be felt in Warringah if possible near political death of Tony Abbott isn't accomplished. Morrison warns 'now is not the time' to switch to Labor

The Prime Minister attacked Labor over its policy agenda and promised voters "I will burn for you every day" if re-elected.

No the very expected arrogance of Andrew Bolt is amplified by his lack of historic record of either learning or education. Bolt presents himself an an expert on Climate Change and has himself published as such in a book when his only education has been as a failure to complete a degree in humanities. He is exactly the example Gillian Triggs was referring to  when pointing out that the loudest voices were totally ignorant of International Law to which we are signitories.  Bolt is the epitome of a huckster with a microphone speaking to the converted and taking money for doing so with the most limited of knowledge on any topic.

He needs no formal qualifications to show he's any academic recognition because he is a success.. That's his arrogance to think of himself as one of the elect ordained if not by god but some natural order. 

It reminds me of Bolt's recent comments on Waleed Aly. Bolt seems to be extremely self conscious about his lack of education or expertise so much so he tries to degrade those he knows are better. It's why he sounds like a dog barking at parked cars.

 When Bill Shorten said he would make cuts to negative gearing McCrann and Bolt could be heard from here to the ACT. Now Turnbull said no cuts Bolt claims it to be a potent weapon. How can 5% ghost housing be a potent weapon? Particularly when this practice is exclusive to the wealthiest areas. sound it's another form of welfare for the wealthy. There are 50,000 empty homes speculating on nothing more than a capital gain. How is that productive investment job creating or benefiting the GDP?

Strange isn't it Bolt certainly didn't make this call when the car industry required restructuring. If Abbott had been PM the changes would been praised.  They are the band-aid or cosmetic changes that improve the opportunities for the larger corporations in the transport industry's free market place.  Lindsey Fox would be happy. Bolt hates any restructuring that provides advantage for the smaller smaller operators because that would be  stifling the efficiency of the market. What we are seeing here are yet  again conservative principles sacrificed for  a side and that's Abbott his dog vs  Turnbull the interloper.   

One get's the impression Bolt has given up blogging and leaving commentary to Peter BH. Today  advertised commentary is forgone for simple cut and pasting of other peoples ideas. Nice work if you can get it paid for nothing. But then I've always said what Bolt does when he does do it is unproductive and has never been of any use to Australia. It's only of use to a very small minority and even then not always because he brings attention to the fact they exist like ISIS and how divisive those interests in fact are to the nation and democracy..

 

 

 

 

 

Missing: the proper cost of Turnbull’s dream train

Yesterday Bolt was wet in the crutch with the notion of "Captured Value" and it's  traditional approach to financing. But who has stepped in and taken the wind out of his sails but the IPA, Quadrant and even Michael Kroger who told Tony Abbott to shut up and put his head down or leave the party recently.  Yes oops ! Peter BH Bolt's Troll bot has revealed  that not all the conservatives  and Bolt's mates hate Turnbull.  How reckless  is the troll for  making uninformed opinions on his own revealing Bolt's and his mate Michael are on opposite sides of the fence.  Their appearance together really a sham a sham Bolt needs for  The Bolt Report. 

Bolt's  short lived enthusiasm for "Captured Value" seems to have been put in a box by Peter BH who does remind us that Abbott has delivered us a hotch potch of an NBN that wont be finished by 2020 and will then need to be torn up to to make us anywhere near world  competitive. But then the conservatives have taken Abbott out of that picture  and have  handballed it to Turnbull. It was the Abbott government that shaped  the mess we have not the Turnbull's. It's worse than Labors pink bats debacle because it will now take $100 bill and another 20-30 years before the Health, and Financial sectors our transition service industries will catch up.  Bolt may have hanballed the blame to Turnbull but Abbott kicked an own goal and put us technologically behind the eight ball as far as communications are concerned.

 

 

 

How to make them go home?

The problem is made "horrific" by media men who fail to really explain why Australia has accepted or "promised" to resettle 12000 Syrian refugees but has only taken 30 in the past 9 months. If this isn't a sign of using human misery as a political football what is? Canada  made a similar promise but  has now taken 30,000 in the same period of time and nobody has been able to explain why. Bolt just ignores it and says we have a problem getting rid of people that needs to be addressed first. Has anybody heard recently of any special circumstances that make us 10,000 times more hamstrung in helping human beings  in desperate need? Here Bolt has his back firmly turned to this question and he is asking how can we get rid of the refugees already here and  even those already vetted and who have been proved to be genuine. How cruel can this man handed a verbal whip by News Corp be? He sounds like Eichman looking for the Final Solution in Hitler's Germany Isn't there a crime called conspiracy to murder assault and do  harm?

 

 

Labor ignored warnings on negative gearing scheme

Strange Bolt talks as if all of this has actually happened. The irresponsibility is allowing the banks to become the predatory lenders they are. Lower interest rates are given the rich higher the desperate and poor.  Banks shore up the wealth of those with property and profit off those without. It strikes me that's what they did to indigenous Australians to ensure they stayed poor. It's institutionalized, it's systemic, it's discrimination and it can be found in all forms of lending which in fact Christianity once banned and called the sin of usury.  There is a young generation out there whose jobs aren't guaranteed being allowed to borrow and take out mortgages and other loans at interest rates that throw them into the subprime category which caused the GFC . Which when all said and done we all had to share to bail out the banks. The only people in the any safety zone were those with a line of property and inheritance already they could buy up the bargains and get richer.

Lest we forget fraud and the criminal negligence was not paid for by the banks but the tax payers

In other words investors the world over were conned into these dud investments. Remember the days of Pyramid, and more recently Storm

Howard vs Bishop. And guess who’s right

Of course Brexit is in Australia's interest as is the Asia Pacific TPP the economic interests of global multinational corporations . If that were the case Howard should be arguing against the TPP which will allow corporations to sue Australia for loss of profit. We can't even get these corporations to be good citizens here and pay their taxes. Does Bolt really believe the the UK's exit from the EU will be of any economic benefit to either of us? That Australians and British  will return to his misguided belief that we are still fundamentally a British colony? When even Scott Morrison suggested to the Liberal Party that the growth of anti Islamic sentiment could play into the hands of the Liberal Party and be used for political advantage.

What Bolt doesn't tell us in his research is  that 72 %  of the UK population still have a positive view of their Muslim population only (4.5%) of the country. A further  9%  are uncommitted according to the Pew survey despite the most negative publicity since the rise of the neo-right racist extremist skin heads of National Front in the 70s. In other words the anti- Muslim sentiment Bolt is talking of is in fact manufactured in the UK and sold by the media as fear in support of the Tory party and conservatives as it is done here by the likes of the Andrew Bolts of the media. It is not new. The truth which  Bolt and his ilk  never deliver is that in Victoria in places like Shepparton  there are some 5 mosques in the region and a large and varied not only Muslim but ethnic group of communities along with an abundant number of Christian churches and peoples of all colors and cultures fully integrated into the Australian landscape. Yes and that currently is a Liberal electorate. But you won't hear that from Bolt.

What Bolt does and has done is to concentrate on all the negative aspects of what he tells us are racial and Muslim based when in fact  more often than not they aren't. They weren't generated by any religious or racial cause but were purely geographically generated as they have been since before he was born. A nation of tribes

Oh my god it's 50s revisited don't go to Carlton it's full of Dagoes or Richmond full of Greeks  black worn everywhere and they don't speak English. Melbourne and Sydney are two of the biggest Greek cities in the world. More Maltese here than in Malta. Three generations and Ohma still doesn't understand or speak English. Nevermind that her kids are all professionals.  More  false rumours were spread back then too as they are now. Their shyness was used for political reasons back then too and it was called resentment hostility and a criminal mindset to be frightened of. The tribalism what Bolt speaks of was rampant back then if not worse than now. The difference however was that media focused entertainment real news and not the fiction promoted by Andrew Bolt. That was left to the paper called The Truth which was of course anything but.

A Jew at Sorrento or Portsea never. They couldn't be found or allowed further south than Mt Martha. They pioneered Surfers Palestine as it was called back then. Golf Clubs, Mens Clubs seperated the wogs, jews, dagoes out  as they did Catholics. resulting in the formation of their own clubs. Assimilation bullshit immigrants weren't welcome socially they were labor and small business and that's where our worlds met. They're the days Bolt dreams of feeling we were being invaded.  Back then  the suburb you lived in was important even more so than it is  today. The "host " nation Bolt talks of had no tolerance and lived their lives apart of any process of integration or assimilation might have taken 3 generations because the notion of assimilation was tokenism  because  you weren't assimilated just because you could say "mate". The Dutch club the Danish clubs were packed. Any real integration if and when it happened was on the job  and in schools when the children had done the work.

What changed what  brought Bolt into the fold? It wasn't his charm, individuality or gregariousness. He was a  reverse bigot back then but  to no effect. How could his aloofness even begin to effect the host nation who never really cared that the prick felt better than them and that he felt un-Australian and preferred to be stand offish.  That was as much his parents doing and his resultant insecurities his hosts didn't care because they were comfortable in their skins . It was multiculturalism and the in attitude of most host Australians that allowed the immigrants to be more comfortable that changed. We started to meet in pubs cafes and restaurants and other places. Now Bolt want's to reverse it.  He simply doesn't like working class Australians because he's never believed he was one. He's  always been a reluctant Australian dragged into the crowd preferring to stand back and watch. Now at 56 he hasn't changed his kids have dragged him to the fold maybe but now he's  reluctant towards immigrants and wants them not only of a particular class but all other cultural characteristics that suit him. Once a bigot always one and ready to put his foot on their necks. Racist, bigot tribalist  Bolt is living proof that ugly Aussies exist.

 The Germans and Japanese stopped being the most hated nations on the planet the Soviets  we were told were. We never met any we just heard about them and they were under our beds. We were sold the cold war narrative and the domino effect lies fear and division yes by the Conservatives.  We even helped kill 1 mill Indonesians doing it in the early 60's  and it took us to Vietnam to kill even more because we were told we were in danger. 

There isn't a single argument that Bolt has put forward for a return to where it is he wants to take us South Africa has changed it's mantle and he seems to have picked it up. Israel being the only other place wanting to officially be the Jewish State an apartheid state. Bolt's ideal being Australia the official  white monolingual Christian state. Does he actually see a future where his kids kids  aren't speaking Chinese and that it's a major language heard in public along with sinage to match. Bolt isn't  an Australian  none like I ever met that's for sure. In fact it appears he never was and has never assimilated.

As long as these renegade conservatives hate Liberals more than Labour the election results will never be certain. They are saying no to everything their own party puts up even the time it takes to do it. Doesn't it remind you of the same tactics used by Tony Abbott back when he took the leadership off Turnbull? Except they are being used by proxy with the aid of 9 monkeypoders and News Corp. The ALP don't have to even attend because they heven't been invited to play. As long as Abbott is an MP Australian politics will be a sham.

Amazing how selective perception works Bolt fails to acknowledge that Eloise Elliot an opinionator at the Herald Sun  said clearly how her respect for the church had plummeted so much she wont go back and that George  Pell was in her mind the coward victims have made him out to be. She  doesn't speak  from a distance either like the declared agnostic Andrew Bolt nor does she speak as loudly from behind the empty News Corp curtain that reminds us of Oz. Elliot speaks as a victim herself as a consequence of the Church's misdoings. Will Bolt deny her that? Acknowledge his co-workers story or just let it go through to the wicket keeper silently. As a anti- conservative and anti- fascist  I can only sit in silence and watch SS News Corp the consevative carrier and Abbott the intel shelling and bombing their own  as if there's no room for compromise.  Abbott's showing us a warlord revenge.

 Combined they remind me of ISIS  trying to destroy the FSA and Al Nusra factions in Syria who aren't fighting back saying they are busy enough trying to fight Assad but in this case the ALP. It's good to see a leader that takes a pragmatic line rather than one solely based on slogans of three words and ideologies. We learn't very quickly that Abbott could walk the walk but found it difficult to talk the talk.

No Bolt it's not an invasion it's the great escape refugees manufactured by the policies of the West policies put in place over 30 years ago. Why have we been in the in Afghanistan for 15 years? Iraq for10 ? To stop the invasion  or produce refugees? We have certainly succeeded in producing refugees.

Further more what allows him to identify what tribe  you belong. Identity might simply be your family but Bolt will ID you. It might be your extended family or country of birth but Bolt will ID you. On what ground other than his own has Bolt the authority to put anyone in a box of his choosing?

Bolt seems disgusted that some migrants still can't speak English after 30 years despite the fact that they have given us their labour their children as lawyers ,doctors and other professionals Greeks came well before the Vietnamese and yes there are areas where sinage and information is still bilingual. They are Greek Australians and yes elderly women still dress in black Mr Bolt. When was the last time you went to China Town Oh my the Signs are in Chinese. When were you last in Little Vietnam Richmond the signs are in Vietnamese. To have the trams announce stops in Vietnamese and English makes it a far more authentic tourist experience. But you wouldn't want that. Maybe only English speaking need apply.

Bolt refuses to watch foreign movies no doubt. Yet he adores Opera shoult it only be sung in English when performed here? The man is a pedant.

Bolt is an extreme bully. It has  clear definition and it's so extreme that it became vilification  proven in our Australian courts. In other words Bolt was sent to the headmaster and found guilty of using his position at News Corp of putting his foot on peoples necks people with less power on any other day to defend themselves. Bolt is a bully Caro and Abetz on Media are equals as far as the two are concerned professionals of equal standing. If neither can stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. However why did all these conservatives think Erica needed any help? Do they believe he's a weak link? Hecklers the conservatives never.... Oh that's accept for Cory Bernardi walking through or crashing a Shorten press interview for a heckle.

 

 

No whites. Racism returns to Tennessee

Reverse Racism does not exist. Racism exists and it was and is the creation of a white society politically and socially dominant society. Yes the blacks in the hold of slave ships hated the white slave traders above deck. They were devastated by that reverse racism and could never understand why could they Tim Blair.  White Australians had their boots on the necks of Indigenous people for 220 years and not respected for it and Bolt and Blair ask why? Turnbull sticks with Abbott pledge on subs and defence spending

" Turnbull is wise not to look for cheap savings in defence." Why do Conservatives tell us not to spend but it's wise to spend on defence? But not wise to spend on what we really need? Because it fits well with their politics of fear and uniforms. Like in the wizard of Oz if you actually pull back the curtain you will find nothing there. We have been in Afghanistan for 15 years with no clear strategic policy and nothing to show for being there.  What has been the cost? 20++ billion? We have obviously stopped the Taliban coming here.  We have been in Iraq on the back of how many lies and at what cost 30 bill . The only benefit political and a plus for Israel. Those 2 campaigns alone would have cleared the deficit.

The deficit does not matter when it comes to being  good global citizens and going to fight wars, but not against Ebola or Climate. Abbott was an eager bever to have us in the Ukraine as well. According to the hype we are safer for these invasions Andrew Bolt &Tony Abbott keep telling us  but  will we ever find out why? The only thing for certain is Conservatives took us there. 

The subs are a questionable assetts but not for any reason we know. The probability being is they will never be as visible as boots on the ground tanks guns and dust. That alone publicity wise makes them suss. They aren't an invasion force  or a symbolic certainty that they are keeping safe. Keeping us safe secretly and silently doesn't doesn't quite do it. Cant they just pretend to be building them and tell us they are out  there and deployed? Put them behind the curtain with the Wizard of Oz we'd be $40 -$60bill dollars richer healthier and better educated.
