Fighting Fake News with REAL 5/2/22 Friends of the ABC, Aged Care, Morrison's Shampoo Stunt, The Shovel, Barnaby, Text,

May be an image of ‎2 people and ‎text that says '‎Will ABC funding help decide the election? هง NATONAL Friends The Guardian Coalition has slashed $526m from ABC and most Australians want funding restored Australia Institute poll finds 52% want the $84m withdrawn in the last three years restored as the broadcaster reveals extent of cuts since 2014 February 2022‎'‎‎

The ABC & SBS are "the peoples broadcaster" independent of Governments and in the case of their funding Governments are intended to be merely the clerks. For the past 22 years the L-NP in government has acted as the owners of this Independent Statuary Body upon which Democracy hangs. They have exercised the equivalent of wage-theft during that time. We will no doubt see the L-NP promise to throw some crumbs they took away back this election, and crow over their generosity. Then like Abbott's promise of "No Cuts to the ABC" only see them go back on the attack again if they win. It was Morrison that declared a "cut " wasn't a cut it was simply an "efficiency review".

LANCET BACKS DJOKOVIC ARGUMENT

If Novak Djokovic did indeed have Covid last month, then he's as safe as any vaccinated person in Australia. In fact, the Lancet medical journal now says the evidence shows that people like him should be as free as anyone to travel.

PROOF THAT MORRISON GOVERNMENT IS PLAYING POLITICS WITH DJOKOVIC

Proof that the Morrison Government wants to kick out Novak Djokovic as a political menace, not a health one: "Immigration Minister Alex Hawke will not make decision on whether to cancel Djokovic’s visa tonight. He had four hours to make a decision if they wanted to keep him in detention." If Djokovic was really a health risk, why let him out?

The saying "Fake it until you make it" doesn't apply to Andrew Bolt whose been faking it his whole career and has never really made it. His opinions aren't built on a foundation of facts let alone knowledge.

Djokovic lied on his visa application and in doing so commited a crime here. Asylum seekers are deported and sent back to countries they fled from often to face death. Afghanis weren't allowed in because their paper work wasn't supplied. The refugees who came by boat and sought asylum and have been illegally held some for a decade. Yet Djokovic is a problem for Morrison.

Furthermore Djokovic failed to isolate in Serbia after a positive reading for Covid, a crime in Serbia as well. He claimed to have isolated but was training in Spain. Yet he's free and not detained because of our government's incompetence. Bolt and News Corp make out he's the victim. Morrison might be stupid and trying to play politics but according to our laws he's currently making an exception for a real "illegal". He would be right to send Djokovic packing but instead he's amplifying not just the hypocrisy of our immigration laws but his government.

Bolt is best staying on holiday rather than trying to promote News Corp's "fake and incomplete news". Simply piss off, fade away and retire to his beloved Socialist Netherlands.

Politics

Opposition Leader Matthew Guy.

Officially launching his campaign for “positivity” on Saturday, Opposition Leader Matthew Guy promised there would be no lockdowns under a Victorian Coalition government.

Ever slowly, the citizens of the world are coming to the realisation that such vaccines will always risk being imperilled in the absence of fair and equal distribution across the globe. Given the freedom to mutate in unvaccinated populations, more variants of SARS-CoV-2 will emerge to penetrate the protective shield. ( Dr Binoy Kampmark)

In the case of Covid Matthew Guy is doomed to fail. With Omnicron rising, the EU, UK, and USA surging and hospitals faltering Matthew Guy sounds more like Custer than even Napoleon.

Multiculturalism has been an undeclared boon to the LNP. Their pre-election tactic historically has been to fragment and divide electorates in any manner possible and the diversity of multiculturalism is the means, the vehicle, they use to achieve just that. Slice and dice electorates thinly to limit majority unity. The ALP on the other hand works to unify that working family majority made up of diverse cultures. They remain consistent with that goal win or lose.

It's quite the revese when not in election mode. In power or not the LNP are in fact anti-multiculturalists whose ideology is the Assimilationist. The flipside of the coin which demands we all goose step to the same tune. They are in fact cultural Autocrats, Nationalists & bigots. The LNP rarely appeals to any underlying material data, facts or rational analysis to present progressive policies. But rather they target emotions, cultural difference and basic fears instead. The ALP battle is to find a pathway through the emotional and cultural labrynth in an effort to unite us and formulate the progressive, material policies to benefit us all.

There was a time when politics, our Democracy, saw a battle being fought for the center. Today it seems the LNP has moved to the extreme right where power for powers sake has become the only prize and their service only dictated for and by the wealth of their donors and the media who run a cash for comment and profit point guard business like Murdoch media globally.

The ALP is the only party with a will to still fight for Democracy but with one arm tied behind it's back in a fight against the extreme right, money and media. The LNP 's dream is today is to regulate Voter ID, rid us of compulsory voting and the independant critical eye of the ABC who is there to vet whoever is in power. Because the LNP like the American Republicans, Orban, Erdogen, and Putin aren't prepared to accept loss a fundamental without which Liberal Democracies can't exist.

How can we forget Abbott's war cry of Nope Nope Nope to any Democratic compromise? He ran second in history to Gorton for the least Bills passed by any government. Gillard on the other hand came close to setting the record for the most and with a minority government. She accepted service in the name of the people. Morrison has spat the dummy and simply stepped aside.

NEED TO KNOW- LNP AGED CARE BILL

Just when you think this government can’t get any more sneaky. In a  Human Rights Denied, virtually unnoticed move, the Coalition government has snuck an alarming last-minute amendment into an aged care bill before Parliament that removes the legal and human rights of aged care residents. The amendment removes the civil and criminal protections to which all other Australians are entitled. If a member of the public is restrained without their consent, the perpetrator can be charged. In contrast, an aged care resident who is restrained without their consent will have no legal recourse. Then the government has the gall to try to claim that this amendment relates to a recommendation of the Aged Care Royal Commission, when it is the complete opposite of what the royal commissioners recommended.

The ‘pro-vax, anti-fascist’ rally in Melbourne moves down Lygon Street last Saturday.

False Flag definitely not ANTIFA but certainly anti-DAN.

“The movement,” says Deakin University senior research fellow Josh Roose, “is riddled with far-right and alt-right extremists who, with their growing reach through social media and in the context of developments in the US and Europe, pose one of the more significant challenges to Australian democracy in recent memory.”

The Prime Minister has said he will propose the government’s own version. Lambie scoffs at this: “That’s not an ICAC, that’s a feather duster.”

three examples of Morrison government ministers who were engulfed in controversy and left or lost their posts, but were later appointed to other ministry positions: Christian Porter, Linda Reynolds and Bridget McKenzie. “People here,” she says, gesturing at Parliament House, “are untouchable. The people are onto ’em, it’s in their face, and they’re sick of it.”

Morrison seems more intent on protecting politicians from scrutiny than on delivering a meaningful anti-corruption commission. If he won’t deliver, the task would pass to the next government.

When you have rorts and corruption and do nothing about it during your term in office and before an election what you do have is a TRIAL RUN

The nation is rudderless in the face of growing storm

Prime Minister Scott Morrison in Canberra on Sunday.

If preparing to create laws that allow MPs to sue and defend "at tax payer expense" while allowing parliamentary privilege to stand isn't enough. Morrison is trying to stop class action suits against corporations and is determined avoid any ICAC body with teeth.  LNP  is a one-way street named Autocrat and it's Morrison daring the voter to try and sue him or his friends. Let's not forget he's the guy whose best friends are reported to be QAnon and he and his wife employed and holidayed with them them. To say he didn't know is a stretch too far. Does saying that make me a troll?

Religious fundamentalists railroad democracy

For years the Wasps kept the Catholics a nd Jews at bay. They believed them to be dangerous. Howard cosied up to the brethren.

We need to stress again that authoritarianism is underpinned by religion. Australians need to decide whether they prefer a progressive secular future or a continuation of our trend to elect fundamentalist MPs and further Christianise our three tiers of government.

Both the Liberal National Party (LNP) and Australian Labor Party (ALP) leadership remain obsessed with pandering to the illusory “Christian vote”. This alone perpetuates our status as a "soft theocracy".

But taking political candidates from Pentecostal and evangelical churches and packing more Christians into parliament puts a distinct strain on a viable democracy.

Religious freedom is indeed a civil right for all — including the true public majority who do not practice a particular religion and who do not want any form of religion forced upon them. The problem with overzealous people of faith is they claim spiritual superiority to “know God’s plan.” Really? How?

We need to avoid religion becoming weaponised to assert Christian dominionism — with its ultimate aim to kill democracy and enthrone Jesus.

Greg Hunt Reassures Nursing Home Residents That He Received Jab In March

"You can rest easy knowing that 100% of federal health ministers are now fully vaccinated"

FAKE NEWS AND MISINFORMATION EXPOSED

NO MORE LOCKDOWNS: LET VACCINE CONSPIRACISTS GET INFECTED

I was vaccinated on Friday. Now a voice in my ear keeps whispering: “This is Bill Gates. Buy Microsoft.” No, wait. The thought in my head is actually: Enough! There’s no excuse left for another lockdown. Let conspiracy theorists die from the virus, if that's their choice. We've almost finished protecting the vulnerable, and that's enough.

It goes to show what Andrew Bolt imagines equality is. He's opinion is total unsubstantiated gaslighting of those who simply don't have the same freedom of choice, the privilege he has. His level of risk is apparently the same as that of front line workers, essential workers the homeless or those who survive on a weekly pay packet and support a family. The very idea that we all have an "equal choice", face equal risk and have an equal chance of contracting Covid can only come from an ignorant selfish asshole in a position of privilege. Currently the evidence is that the vaccination rollout will continue until June 2022 and Bolt has had his jab in May 2021.

That's a level  of privilege that the majority of Australians don't have. Bolt was vaccinated on Friday did he have to stand in line and wait for 4 hours like some Victorians did? What about those that can't or their doctors simply can't accommodate them because they still haven't sufficient vaccine? Yep Andrew Bolt is simply a selfish asshole who inconvenienced saying out loud "I'm alright Jack get out of my way" Currently it's predicted that herd immunity or full vaccination won't be reached until June 2022. Bolt makes no mention that on global comparison  Australia ranks over 100th among nations being competently vaccinated.

Three things are immanently necessary all In Morrison's juridiction 1) effective quarantine 2) effective vaccine and rapid rollout and 3) JobKeeper when and if lock downs are necessary. 4) Andrew Bolt as the coal mine canary to test and prove Covid-19 is non existent in critical exposure sites he claims are "safe". Currently Morrison's LNP has failed on all counts. Bolt claims he knows the way but it's execution remains a tight held secret.

VIRUS THEATRE: NEW RESEARCH EXPOSES THE FOLLY OF SOME “PROTECTION”

Call it "virus theatre" - theatrically wiping down even street signs to stop the virus. Or wearing face masks out in the open air. New research confirms that won't do much at all. The main way this virus is transmitted means a lot of our protections make little sense or difference.

Yet another virus myth is exposed: That this coronavirus is often spread by droplets that stay on things such as lift buttons and tables.

This belief fed pandemic paranoia, pushing us to take ineffective precautions and stage crazy “virus theatre”.

That included council workers washing down roadside posts and street-crossing signs, and companies “deep cleaning” offices.

It also encouraged governments to play down a great danger in many quarantine hotels, while meanwhile forcing Australians to wear face masks outdoors, where the risk of infection is about zero.

Here we have an Aussie "whinger" not really an informative critic but a "whinger". Someone who doesn't believe in taking the best of care and precaution but just the minimal is sufficient why? Because he doesn't suffer from the level of risk. However, coming from the voice of the most unsocial, the least welcoming, prick in Australia we are meant to stand to attention. Bol is someone who doesn't really give a shit about his neighbors or others. He criticizes without offering how any of his alternatives might even be executed. For him all solutions are simple never complex because others don't matter. He's the living breathing caricature of the worst Australian, the last person you'll ever see with his shoulder to the wheel helping out. He's security bound and if out in the world wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

His claim that "we've almost completed protecting the vulnerable" defies logic not just of the Australian experience but from that experienced by other nations far better vaccinated than we are. Does Bolt listen to any news other than Murdoch's? It appears not.

Opinion: Like Howard, PM prefers politics to policy

Scott Morrison’s modus operandi mimics John Howard’s ( and Trump's ). It is essentially to run government on a day-to-day basis, with little or no longer-term strategic thinking or planning on major policy issues – it is almost solely driven by political and marketing strategising, headline announcements/events/stunts.

Remember, last week Andrew Bolt preached FEAR that China was preparing for WAR. He's simply a warmonger.

The US will spend, if we want to be purists, $716 billion on the military. It’s actually a lot more because the National Security Agency is part of the military, and the CIA to all intents and purposes is military in nature and between them their secret budgets top more than the $50 billion that was leaked in a Congressional hearing eight years ago, and could be double that now since so much more US military activity is now handled by Special Forces acting under the direction of the CIA, but for sake of argument let’s just leave it at $716 billion. Russia’s military budget is $65 billion, and even if you tripled that to account for how much more expensive everything is in the US from soldiers’ pay to weapons systems would represent less than a third of what the US spends. China’s military budget $183 billion, and again, you could double that if you like to account for different costs and it would be less than half of the US military budget.

This doesn't even account for what exists now in hardware and troop numbers. China is intent on it Belt Road Initiative investment.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison (Image: AAP/Mick Tsikas)

Scott Morrison — a bad marketing campaign’s version of a leader

Given the disaster that is aged care in Australia — the ongoing misery so many senior Australians endure in substandard care in an industry chronically underfunded and under-resourced — surely we would get a break from the prime minister’s incessant focus on spin and presentation and get some substance?

The very fact Morrison says rape, sexual molestation of women is Australian Culture, workplace culture something he can't change, only about talk about makes him the nation's current day leading enabler. No matter how much he feigns sorrow maintains it's a police matter or supports any male simply because they say "I didn't do it" he's maintaining a culture that should be cancelled. One that continues to blame women.

Morrison listened to Jen didn't he but neither of them put their mind to change anything. Porter needs to do more than just say "I didn't do it". He needs to step aside and let an independent investigation take charge. Then we just might be able to say we have leaders.
