Minutes after Pell’s conviction was quashed by the high court, the News Corp columnist Andrew Bolt posted a blog saying the cardinal was innocent and pointing the finger at the ABC for allegedly conducting a witch-hunt to have him convicted.

One doesn't need to be a genius to note News Corp and the IPA have had a mutual self-interested agenda to rid the nation of the ABC. Bolt couldn't have a more nepotistic up-close and personal relationship with the IPA. His son James works for them Bolt did podcasts with John Roxham a regular on his Bolt Report and now father and son interchange on each other's shows. It seems "grooming" is a better-used term to describe what's occurring rather than any notion of any market place-merit.
Their strategy, pure and simple, is to rid Australia of the ABC the most trusted news service in the country and to set up a quid pro quo relationship as exists in the USA between Murdoch Media's Fox Corp and Trump's WhiteHouse where the interchange of staff is akin to a freeway. Their ambition is to demonise all other media as fake and take control of the political/economic narrative of the nation in the interests of Citizens United and other donor associated think tanks that represent only  1% of the country.
 The IPA has grown in immense influence in Australia while our unions have been reduced. They have developed pathways to parliament for their staff and like no other association this century have seen their 75 points political plan taken up as LNP policies. It may have begun with Howard, but they were accelerated with the coming of Abbott.
No Cut's to the ABC has become 1000 cuts under Abbott/Turnbull/ Morrison's LNP despite the outcry of Australians. So much so the ABC budget has been flatlined back to 1984. No, he's not the High Court merely overturned the jury's decision on a TECHNICALITY. Nowhere was he pronounced innocent except in the hollows of Bolt's mind.  However, Pell was charged, and a jury was compelled to make a decision based on the evidence before them, and Pell was deemed and pronounced GUILTY. The appeal and High Court then attended to the technicalities of that decision.

Well, Conservative Bolt pays no respect to our legal system our laws or the due process required to execute them. A process intended to make us all equal under the sun. Firstly where's the 'we' in this discussion and since when is "news" not to be reported. The ABC was only a part of the media in Australia reporting on Pell's circumstances but reporting all sides not just one. It's the "all sides" that has Henderson saying that the public shouldn't have been party to this news. Which is self evidently biased on his part.

But the ABC is now so intolerant that chairman Ita Buttrose says no more: "I certainly hadn’t thought that Andrew Bolt would be a great fit for the ABC." 

 He's fast becoming unfit for anyone. Dropped from 2GB, The ABC how many years ago? Even he and pod-casters parted ways after what 5 sessions on Sunday nights with his son or was it his son that dropped him?. The man's taken more leave than anyone from the Bolt Report it seems Bolt is fast becoming a lousy fit for anyone. News Corp print is shrinking, and Sky News is hardly the channel most Australians turn to least of all Andrew Bolt in high numbers. It's tiring watching and listening to someone so self-absorbed with himself complaining about everything other than himself. This is a sad day for Bolt more and more people declaring him an unfit  Australian. If he left Murdoch-ville who else would have him? The IPA already have a Bolt do they want a screw...up?
I forgot to mention his Friday nights are just edited repeats of the previous 4 weekdays. His columns are extensions of his blogs and Bolt Reports also repeats and expansions of what has already been said and picked from the Lazy Susan of ideas tied together by a production team.
Bolt is just a Trump attaching his name to the work of others and guests putting forward on Dorothy Dixer questions and commentaries.  Hunts and grasps others wanting air time like Milo Yianniopolus, and Peter Ridd, a physicist who Bolt calls a marine scientist to boost his ratings in exchange for promoting them. In fact, there's nothing really to be seen other than Bolt reading auto-cued lines produced for him.

I'm sure a number of other violent crimes occurred throughout the EU over summer but have not been sorted into into this no longer random but specifically selected group. There is a common thread however which the Spectator mentions but fails to specify as well. Is it that they are all young males? Well then we don't have any knowledge if there were any young or old women involved in violent crimes do we so really that makes it biased as well . So this isn't a random sample at all it's a specific sample that alone and it makes biased.  Let's face it they weren't all refugees however right wingers like to suggest even if born in the EU they can be grouped as refugees which makes their definition of refugee being what ever we say or want it to be. So they must be saying but not mentioning it they are a random sample of violent Muslims and it's a violent faith that's  the common thread. . If the population of the EU was 3% Muslim  or 3% refugee connected  0.000007% No statistician unless motivated in some way declare this an exceptionally different summer in the EU except possibly the summer of media attention grouping tragic events. The EU citizens are more likely still to be killed or injured falling over, driving a car, in a fire etc etc etc.

Unity, Uniformity,Sameness are positive qualities we need to strive for. For Andrew Bolt claims these are the qualities we need to strive for, diversity, divisiveness are their antithesis. However Bolt who claims those whose identities  differ from his  are racist, tribal and divisive and a priority ought be given to sorting the wheat from the chaff first to achieve harmony.  Bolt simply places himself in the position of the great arbiter, despot, the definer  of good and evil. He takes it upon himself to be the non democratic leader who maintains that in today's state of tribal chaos only he and his tribe are capable of defining who is or isn't a mutant. It's all been said and done in history before. Hitler, Mussolini, Franco Pinochet and others did it and Erdogan is doing it now. Qaddafi , Hussein did it to. Bolt might talk quietly on TV & Radio but  he is little more than a performer. When he writes he's significantly different. He rants and raves with the voice of a tyrant. Bolt is a "yes but" person that never moves past his ethnocentric starting point of  "my culture is the best".

But what it really means is the Australian community is diverse and in that  diversity is  a bright future for all of us, where everyone in Australia has  freedom and dignity, versus those who are trying to entrench a racist, violent reality which privileges one group  over another. That’s the kind of debate that really needs to happen which structure should be adopted to shape what is going to happen to Australian reality moving forward.  That's the debate Bolt avoids when he appeals to his singular view of unity, Team Australia, and his them and us rhetoric.

For Bolt media space unlike advertising space carries no responsibility even in a civilized society.  For an advocate of his own freedom he sure as hell does a lot of complaining about the freedom of others to say what they will. However if it's acceptable to  regulate advertising  when does false opinion, false information and propaganda fall into advertising?

 

If Turnbull won’t cut spending, he will certainly raise taxes

Bolt  seems to do little more than cut and paste other peoples work to his own. Largely the work of other News Corp personnel.  Bolt's collaboration little more than the banner this one is a repeat from 2 days ago with just a slight change to the banner. But it's the work of Terry McCrann. The one below is the same. Bolt's actual output is very small if you take a close look and rarely informative. Anyway he merely asks for an austerity package cut spending and cut taxes. If you can't have both cut the taxes of the wealthy to give them incentive. It's basically the myth that the rich drive the economy. Unfortunately they don't their wealth which in the main is inherited produces an income from capital gains and rent and not productive growth. Borrowing and an investment in jobs  the future of our kids is the  only way to stimulate growth. At the moment our kids may not find full time work for a possible 5 years. Does Bolt want to ensure that becomes 10? They are the generation of spenders and the future Andrew Bolt at 56 certainly isn't even if he is in the top2% and he produces nothing but hot air.

That may be so in Tarcoola but it isn't today. He has no idea what happened to Danny but what's more to the point he isn't that interested and is hardly likely to invite him home today . Bolt was born here but recognizes that he hasn't indulged in most forms of Australian popular culture yet he disparages multiculturalism demands stricter immigration laws ,assimilation policies and specifically ones that limit Muslims into the country. His ban would says some 35+ different enthnicities culturally diverse groups from Bosnians to Somalis  are non welcome simply on the basis of their faith that they are Muslim. Despite the fact that Muslims have been a part of Australian history and landscape for 200 years.

Bolt's cultural outlook narrow demanding Australia to be Judeo- Christian and European. He however claims he's agnostic however there is no such thing as an agnostic Muslim who will always remain suspect. Catholics were seen in the same light once by the Protestant power holders of this nation. Bolt reflects that today when he begrudges  the Pope's  influence over ideas that don't fit Bolt's narrow Conservative views. He's anti pluralist and does not celebrate  difference rails against the problems he says multiculturalism created. How is it 4 Australian cities are voted  amongst the most livable in the world?

 Despite Andrew Bolt's singular and divisive perspective of what's occurring in this country. He never even for a moment considers he might  be wrong. That in fact we are admired for being a mixed progressive and mongrel Culture. However our archaic social institutions haven't kept up with the changes that have occurred. How is it that  some $50 mill wages have been witheld from a generation aborigines for over 100 years and even the  governments of today are in a hurry to do something about it but would it seems prefer to brush it under the carpet. That one act alone prevented people from having bank accounts, saving and establishing  a credit record enabling them to get a loan and progress. Bolt has a simple explanation their culture held them back and it's their own fault. He simply refuses to understand the world from anyone elses shoes but his own and that's his but more so our greatest danger. Our economy whether dependent on China or not is  or should be more robust than just mining and Turnbull has taken the opportunity to let the Chinese know that we don't do everything with hat in hand. Turnbull is certainly not the noisy defender of the Ukraine nor will he be  as gung ho as Abbott in wanting to send troops to the Middle East for the sole purpose of looking good at home. Abbott literally offended our nearest neighbour Indonesia who are now celebrating his removal and did nothing politically in the Pacific that wasn't commercial. China at least knows we are more than just commercial hand holders.

As for Troll Peter BH's belief the media were against Abbott in 2013 he produces an ABC report that's little more than the equivalent of a Hansard document recording the event it certainly wasn't the opinion piece that Peter BH makes it out to be. The ABC didn't mention a gaffe it did mention however mention China's warnings to Abbott to stay out of the area and he did. Abbott created his own gaffes to report them according to Bolt was bias. The reason there is no link to this blog because there is no other media outlet other than Newscorp that's delivered the same conclusion. All other media outlets have claimed little harm had been done to Shorten and what there was was reasonably trivial.  If Shorten is guilty of what Bolt says he will be charged.
