A federal judge ruled on Saturday that former national security adviser
John Bolton can move forward in publishing his tell-all book despite
efforts by the Trump administration to block the release because of
concerns that classified information could be exposed.
From a
practical perspective, the ruling clears the path for a broader
election-year readership and distribution of a memoir, due out on
Tuesday, that paints an unflattering portrait of President Donald
Trump's foreign policy decision-making during the turbulent
year-and-a-half that Bolton spent in the White House.

What seems so reprehensible to good slashings of commentary on Trump,
the latest Bolton revelations on the Chinese connection being no
different is that the president is not merely a narcissist but
distinctly incapable of pure, patriotic sentiment. Transactional
politics frustrates the fevered ideologue, the flag bearing fanatics. It
is that sort of disposition that seems to trouble Bolton, who makes the
almost boring point
that Trump’s decisions were all “driven by re-election calculations.”
(What an odd sentiment from a political figure!) Trump’s triumph, at
least so far, has been to keep that side of the patriotic sham
formidable and valuable. Should his supporters work out that he is, at
heart, a businessman first before being a MAGA patriot, they might
reconsider their options.

Barr says the US President has fired Geoffrey Berman, the top federal
prosecutor in Manhattan whose office is investigating Trump's lawyer
Rudolph Giuliani.
Barr unexpectedly announced Berman was stepping down and would be
replaced by US Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Jay Clayton. Berman,
however, issued a statement of his own, saying he had no intention of
stepping down until the Senate confirms his successor.

Research published on Tuesday in the Climatic Change journal examined the deaths of 1.717 million Australians between 2006-2017. It found about 2 per cent were attributable to heat, while "close to zero" was caused by cold days, said Thomas Longden, a senior researcher at the University of Technology, Sydney, and author of the paper.
His study used median daily temperatures in six climate zones across the country and found 2 per cent of mortality in Sydney was associated with heat and a near-zero linkage to cold weather. Melbourne showed similar results.
Only in the climate zone characterised by mild to warm summers and cold winters - Tasmania and the alpine regions of NSW, Victoria and the ACT - were more deaths associated with cold than heat, he said.
In regions with hot, humid summers - such as Townsville, Cairns and Darwin - as many as 9 per cent of deaths were related to heat. Scientists expect climate change will create longer, more intense and more frequent heatwaves for much of Australia, a trend that would exacerbate the risks of heat-related deaths.

Its been two and a half years since Bolt called Trump dumb 12/10/16 to be precise. He followed the head office line back then and seems to be doing just that again now. Originality has never been Bolt's strength, has it?
Will Bolton leave the White House altogether and go back to FOX? If so, what will Trump do? Will a feud develop within FOX to neutralise Bolton for the Presidents sake. Iran struck a deal with Obama and according to the rest of the world abided by that deal until Trump rode in and smashed it to bits. Iran continued to hold the line while Trump was mirroring Nth Korean tactics. Throw a tantrum reformulate another deal and look like a hero back home and rename it the Trump Peace deal. The problem, however, the world was watching Kim break and make his own deals. Trump was trying to break Obama's and fake his own, and it's blown up in his face.

McCRANN: THE BIG ELECTION ISSUE IS LABOR'S BIG LIE

Bolt has been having trouble lately finding Africans to declare as exceptional and unwanted in Australia. When was the last time we heard him yell "Who let them in?" He couldn't because of the excessive violence we have seen in Melbourne has been by white Australians over drugs at football and by the police. It's been months, but then the Libs like Dutton and Morrison have left it alone as well. Bolt somehow justifies ignoring the fights between whites as easy to overlook but blacks harder. Whoever said he wasn't racist. He didn't mention it when the police declared they were after not a gang the other night but a Lebanese gang as if that explained everything about why they shattered a citizens arm.
Just how significant is the issue? We don't know. How amplified is it? Well, we can tell Andrew Bolt is advertising it for his Tabloid The Herald Sun. Drugs are a public health issue and the problem with successive governments they haven't been treated as such. Maybe if medical facilities were suitably located like mental health facilities are there'd be less noise. Homelessness isn't a drug issue, and it's not amplified. Social dysfunction exists, and it exists as a trend that goes far beyond just the fault of individuals, but it's not amplified. The trend to addiction is overlooked individualised blamed and politicised all for a purpose. What we see is not just an injecting room problem it's a problem when associated with poverty and a load of other class dysfunctions nobody wants to address, but it's a great political divider and income source for media attention. Addiction of the wealthy also exists maybe an injecting room ought to be trialled in Bolt's suburb for the convenience all the Eastern suburb addicts who currently have to go to Richmond. In fact, it suggests every suburb needs one not less. Injecting rooms have been operating globally for years, and we don't hear about the issues they are having in fact, what we do hear of is the success they have had. Why has Australia such a tin ear? It's all for politics of division rather than consensus because some of us simply can't operate and maintain power in a framework of agreement and rational politics. The focus has to be on differences, not problems everything needs to be weaponised and amplified, and that takes money and media to broadcast it, which is then also a business model like News Corp's. It doesn't run debates question investigate or inform but only politicises editorials via its editorials and propaganda. They are self-interested advertisers.
The fact that Andrew Bolt conveniently ignores is 90% of Labor voters want something more done about Climate Change and so do 59% Liberals but not only in Warringah but across Australia. It's why Josh Frydenberg id feeling the heat. It's why Abbott says he's for Climate Change and recognises more needs doing. The Paris Agreement should be maintained and not dumped like Trump. How is it Andrew Bolt has not once castigated Abbott for his jump to the center. There is no Climate War in Warringah Abbott declared that was over. Why is Bolt claiming that there is? Steggels is clear yes she believes in Climate Change so does Tony Abbott. Zali is, and economic conservative, so is Abbott. She's a cultural progressive who supported Marriage Equality Tony Abbott does not. Yet 75% of Warringah do. Warringah decides whose future Abbott's may be but Abbott won't be turning Warringah's back to the 50s that's for sure. Proof
