When Yugoslavia began to violently be carved into competing ethnic-states, there remained many people, including Serbs, Croats, Muslims, and Slovenes, who refused to go along with the new sectarian reality. Some of them, in fact, continued to call themselves Yugoslavs: citizens of a multicultural society that would soon cease to exist. Andrew Bolt's job is to amplify Ridd's ignorance for the benefit of vested interests like the IPA, The Cane Growers Assoc, Mining Companies like Adani and others who may be affected by any increase in policies to protect the Great Barrier Reef. 
Ridd response is no wiser than Andrew Bolt's to the latest Reef Report that indicates the Great Barrier Reef's decline has gone from poor to even very poor while Ridd stands back yelling it hasn't without any research just the sound of Kaching in his bank account. 
No doubt Ridd is an expert on NASA's Report on the changes to Greenland's glaciers too because sure as hell Andrew Bolt does.

 Just when you thought News Corp’s political coverage couldn’t be any more partisan, the Courier Mail published a federal budget front page that was little more than blatant propaganda for Scott Morrison’s government.
The Brisbane tabloid’s front page, headlined “Australia at Crossroads”, featured big green road signs that pointed right to financial rewards and tax cuts under the Coalition and left to risk and debt under Labor. “Beware left turn: $200b tax hazard ahead,” said the bullet-ridden sign.

Great Barrier Reef: Sky News and Peter Ridd are deliberately misleading

One way of measuring what scientists think of each other’s work is to look at how many times scientists cite the studies of other people.
Ridd does not have a Google Scholar profile (the easiest place to check citations), but his ResearchGate page shows his work has been cited 3,113 times. For comparison, according to ResearchGate, Terry Hughes has been cited 41,600 times. Professor Ove Hoegh-Guldberg of the University of Queensland – a pioneer of coral bleaching research – has also been cited 41,600 times.
I mention Hoegh-Guldberg, because during one of the Rozner interviews, Andrew Bolt claimed the Queensland scientist had been forced to back-pedal on his claims over the years.
Hoegh-Guldberg told me:
“My 1999 paper predicted back-to-back bleaching and loss of corals by mid-century. But that’s happening right now. The impacts we predicted are actually unfolding much quicker than we thought.”
So, is Ridd a world-renowned expert on the Reef? “No,” said Hoegh-Guldberg. “If he was, it would be reflected in his citations. He’s not heavily cited.”

Alan Jones, a Sydney shock jock who thinks climate science is “witchcraft”, has also tried to pain Ridd as the plucky underdog going up against a big institution.
“Here is a bloke who is challenging the groupthink on climate change, but it’s unequal wherever you turn.”

HANSON DITCHES TURNBULL AND HIS TAX CUTS

 The problem is Hanson's supporters are outliers who feel dissatisfied with Labour and Liberals. They voted for Hanson as a protest. Hanson realised she made a gross mistake in the WA election by aligning herself with the Libs. She betrayed her base by giving her preferences to the Liberals and her vote plunged.  Unlike her, the Libs weren't a populist party.
 Her base is a mix of dissatisfied ex-mainstream voters both ALP and Libs who certainly don't see Company Tax cuts as part of their vision. Somebody woke Hanson up to that fact and so she did a U-turn. Bolt's fundamentally wrong because Hanson isn't as clever as he makes her out to be because she instinctively would company support tax cuts. However as a populist and the royal commission into the Banks Super and now Franchising is on others have made it clear her base simply wouldn't accept the cuts on offer to big business.  There is nothing sophisticated there just tactical and Hanson isn't the whizz Bolt makes out.

What is the Minister going to do? Close down the University? Defund science particularly Marine Science at James Cook? If he did he'd be shooting himself in the foot. Anybody that doesn't read the research and the reviews that have come out of that university will realize it's made it one of the worlds best in the field. Deniers aren't sceptics they simply have a kneejerk political response as opposed to a tested and studied one. Science itself sets the standard of scepticism while simply saying 'no' is neither science or scepticism as it denial based on a wish, self- interest or value. We have seen Bolt's science in action countless times when he's called science just another religion.  Bolt does it all the time but then it doesn't matter because he works for Murdoch runs a news-free zone based purely on business and not scepticism. Bolt's a denier he's far removed from being a sceptic when backed into a corner he calls science a faith a religion and fails to test himself on that proposition sceptics always question themselves and leave idiots like Bolt alone.
Ridd has been sacked for his lack of science and bringing the campus into disrepute as James Cook University isn't speakers corner a free for all in ideas. It is an arena of studied scepticism particularly in the field of Marine science and Ridd has crossed the lines of behaviour that he signed to support when signing his contract. He's simply not acting as a scientist and bringing his department into disrepute.

 

SHARRI MARKSON: ON THE ABC'S LATEST ANTI-ISRAEL BIAS

 Shari Markson discovered that Israel was aiding and abetting terrorists fighting the Syrian and Assad Government. She discovered they were assisting our enemy in the Middle East. She was almost arrested for that discovery because it was Israel's secret. They were betraying the coalition forces and doing it illegally from occupied Syrian territory The Golan Heights. In effect, Israel was at war not with IS or al-Qaeda but with Syria supplying those we and the West have labelled terrorists and our sworn enemies.
 We were, in fact, jailing Australians for doing what Israel is doing. Sheridan labours the point that Hamas is a terrorist organization and therefore worth shooting. If there are terrorists worth helping logic dictates asking the question how does Israel choose and is their choice justified? It seems there a Well when they started shooting arbitrarily at 40,000 people hitting women children the press and medics they were making unjustified choices.  Furthermore, they backed that choice up declaring women and children enemy by not sending medical supplies to the Gazan hospitals to help those shot? No, they maintained the blockade of Gaza instead.
So to hear Markson say if you don't agree with her your wrong is stupid as it has no foundation. and Sheridan say Israel is as clean as the driven snow because they are defending themselves against terrorists is to have her and both Sheridan lying and propagandizing and Bolt simply offering the space to lie. 
But what did Markson say that's more to the point. The  Q&A panel, unlike Bolt's show, holds debates so of course arguments and conversations are meant to cross over each other and also be directed. Bolt's show is quite opposite, it promotes a single idea holds a series of monologues to promote that idea and in Markson's case, the idea is that the ABC is biased because it presents both sides and if you don't agree with Markson then she's right and your wrong. How childish of the spoilt brat and she will go blue in the face to prove it?
How does she do it? She threatens and cajoles without a single fact but only opinion and that's if you don't agree or question her. If you do your wrong and what more biased and not objective. Wow and she's a senior News Corp Editor how unimpressive is that with Bolt sitting there looking like her adoring spaniel. Give us a break. Markson may be Jewish but she's certainly not one of the millions that have currently turned their backs on Israel after asking questions.
As for Sheridan he merely states the obvious the UNHRC is surrounded by politics and in this case, the numbers stack up for an inquiry and report to justify or condemn Israeli actions only 2 votes against is hilarious.
Why do these News Corp goons not admit to the fact that over 110 and not 62 are dead and that over the course of 7 weeks 4000 persons were shot? The numbers are minimized to the max. No mention of 78 women and 203 persons shot. The Israelis used bullets that expand once hitting the body to cause maximum damage and the then blockaded medical assistance these are facts that Sheridan ignores in order to deflect attention away from Israel. He raves on about Nth Korea Russia and China but did any of these nations commit these offences in territories not their own. Gazans aren't Israelis for a start which makes Sheridan look as if he's simply an apologist. Like Markson, he mentions Syria but not that Israel is supporting those we call "terrorists" and ducks the detail of the false media reporting of the "demonstration" Such as the "clash" Israel experienced when there was none or the 50 Hamas reported dead by MEMRI TV and Israeli propaganda broadcaster.
Israel is a reliable self- reporter because it has sent Israeli soldiers to jail what a joke they are holding children without charge and Palestinian poets for longer that soldiers caught murdering Palestinians wounded just because they were caught on video. If that weren't the case they would have been charged. Basically, they promote the idea that the people shot were programmed by Hamas to get in the way of Israeli snipers Ho ludicrous is this victim blaming and flipping the equation to Israel being the victim none of this in the eyes of the world holds water. Yes, it's blaming the Jews for making the Germans look bad in WW2.
Today the Germans say sorry in their schools and on a daily basis teach the Jewish perspective of history and WW2, In Israel children, aren't educated in any way to what might be regarded as a Palestinian perspective as we aren't and Indigenous one.

He certainly is any sense of 'continued hostility' China has experienced has been from and in the media and that hostility has always been the loudest coming from News Corp. And: "National MPs are turning on Barnaby Joyce, warning that his leadership is in jeopardy." The anger is understandable. Joyce has badly damaged the "family values" Nationals.

So it's back to another year of Peter BH doing Bolt's work for him. Bolt has found another obscure Prof B. Lomborg whose now long gone and forgotten globally. Professor Ridd a member of the Physics Department at James Cook certainly wouldn't be allowed to be the spokesperson for the Spanish or English Departments Ph.D. students and/or researchers. According to James Cook University, he's doing just that speaking out his personal activist views as if he were a peer in the Department of Marine Biology. Had he been voicing his opinions on Medical research and or Dentistry he'd have been admonished in the same inappropriate way in any university in Australia. He'd be a target for getting the sack for bringing the University into disrepute and lowering its standards. 
Publish and peer-review by all means debate and be judged but simply being a blowhard activist is breaking the collegiate requirements of his contract as a member of staff. Just as he would if he were doing a Barnaby Joyce with a student. Let's face it Ridd hasn't even earned the credit for being a whistleblower.

Yes, basically Bolt couldn't help Abbott get psuedo associate Professor Bjorn Lomborg a job in an Australian University so he's found one esconced in James Cook. One whose reputation and paid support has only come his way since being a Climate activist rather than a renowned professor of Physics delivering peer-reviewed publications in any official capacity in his own field. In fact, he's just another Andrew Bolt part of a shrinking minority and not even a part of the 3% of climate science deniers. Given banks and financial institutions have turned their backs on the industry these advocates of fossil fuels seem to be paid just to make a noise.
Google Peter Ridd and the media war onslaught becomes obvious Murdoch media has made Peter Ridd a cause calibre along with the IPA. They are the paid denying brigade of pro-fossil fuel warriors the minority that's hijacked the Internet, Print, like IS did Iraq. They are the noise makers.

It's obvious Bolt has no regard for the rules of parliament. It's not the PM's duty to arrange the National parties distribution of office jobs. The government is afterall a coalition of two parties one of which Turnbull doesn't control. Bolt seems to think it's Turnbull's duty to count and lick stamps in Baraby's Drum's and Kanavan's offices. Why does this man push ignorance and false facts so hard? Just to stay in the game it would seem because as a journalist he's so far out of it. He even gives Hanson attention when the rest of Australia isn't. Is she the only dog he has in the current race?

COURTS CAN'T FIND "STOLEN GENERATIONS" VICTIMS, BUT LABOR WILL PAY THEM

Stolen? Needing handouts? The Federal Court couldn't find a "stolen generation" in the Northern Territory: "Evidence does not support a finding that there was any policy of removal of part-Aboriginal children such as that alleged." Yet Labor is now promising $75,000 handouts for "stolen generations" victims: "It will apply mostly to survivors in the Northern Territory..."

What a job Bolt has regurgitating the same old same old year after year like a dripping tap in a vacant house. Stolen generations can't be found like his judgment of innocence can't be found in the court  records. Sexually abused children can't be found in the records of in a number of institutions either. Yes, Bolt is doing a Trump complaining allegations that there is an Aboriginal black history yet to be told in Australia is dangerous as it could destroy the lives of many good White Christians written up in white fella history as God-fearing souls.
So Bolt believes history is that institutionally recorded and written can't be wrong. BS or changed unless done so with the permission of white conservative historians peering at the institutional record. I guess Bolt believes his children are role models and have never done drugs or committed a delinquent act simply because the middle-class kids like his aren't policed and recorded or even watched by the law. 2 Tonnes of Ice heading to Australia tonnes of powder and pills and weed billions of $$ worth of drugs are being consumed by the lower classes Labor and those Welfare like indigenous Australians. That make sense doesn't it?  The "Upper Classes"  Bolt's mob can't be found to be users just look at the court records. Our jails just aren't filled with Bolt's social milieu no trend is revealed there where no attention is paid.
Bolt's argument is circular to the point of stupidity the definition of being black flora existed till 1967 poor and unable to take care of your kids because your black and not White was a forced  Colonial one, not a lifestyle choice. That very definition of justifed Christian Welfare to operate businesses and they needed stock and the conditions supplied by the "fauna" who whose opportunities were severely blocked.
 Intervention today is based on the same principles that blame the victims for their very state of being which is socially caused.  Not changing the Colonial and individualistic attitudes of 200+ Years we are a society that not only causes but uses homelessness and poverty and that's what's dangerous not looking out for a few compensation cheats among 550 people that have registered as "stolen".
America has the world's greatest wealth gap which is growing and Australia is modeling itself on it. What Bolt calls black culture as poor seems to be increasingly looking increasingly white these days. Homelessness is no longer a black or exceptional the issues of drugs and alcohol are increasingly colorless in fact and most visible among the urban and rural homeless doing what all society is, in fact, doing but not so noticeably because the police and Welfare agency backs are turned in just one direction. Simply look at the number of private clinics that have sprung up in recent years. Unless something is done we will be increasingly "stealing"  the children of a white generation that won't show up in Bolt's record books either.
The records don't show the historic abuse children suffered in these Christian Institutions, or the abuse suffered in State-run ones today all of which Bolt turns and then says didn't happen and what he deems benevolent places for necessary protection. White or written history isn't the only history available and black history isn't the only one not to be heard. If compensation was paid to the Jews post-war for being Jewish there's no reason the same can't be afforded Indigenous Australians. The Dutch systematically hid their support for Nazis regime until the1980s claiming to be post-war heroes. Jews proved that the official Dutch history and records were a lie. It seems Bolt has learned to do much the same and imported that attitude here towards Indigenous Australians. Where would he have learned that practice to hide the historic record  he simply doesn't like?

Well is there any official record of evidence that shows Albrectsen was politically targeted? In the week when we are experiencing the greatest heat ever recorded in Spring Bolt claims he's been prevented from calling out the warming alarmists on his Bolt Report. As a clown do we laugh with or at him? 
15000 scientists from 184 countries have just resigned a petition claiming the validity of global warming science and Bolt is arguing about the contractual policies a Professor Ridd and James Cook University are legally fighting over not any research but the damage done to their reputations.

It's strange isn't it that the Daily Telegraph News Corp's description of Ridd doesn't even seem to align with Bolt's. 
You see Bolt believes when all the scientific evidence in the world suggests smoking causes cancer he and his paper have the freedom to irresponsibly deny it and the right to encourage us to smoke. If the tobacco companies put up the money he's obliged by the principles of business to take it and argue against responsible Social policies. Even if irresponsible attitudes like that result in the further deaths of children and adults bucking researched truth for corporate profit overrides any responsibility or social justice. After all, Bolt simply equates science as just another voice like religion in the marketplace of ideas. Frankly, we haven't the time to argue with media negators of researched like Bolt Jones et al when peoples lives are at stake now. There are occasions when there is little time for discussion. Abbott was an expert in the 'false emergency" and we clearly saw it in his nope nope nope approach to do nothing it certainly wasn't researched but it was backed by News Corp.

CAN'T THEY CLEAN UP THEMSELVES?

 I know who is lazier it's Andrew Bolt who seems to be repeating a commentary he made once already this month probably in the hope nobody would notice. 
1) International law dictates those people on Manus "asylum seekers" aren't illegal. Australia is breaking International Laws.
2) Bolt in the tradition of right-wing extremists who deny the people on Manus aren't victims but rather they are the creators of their own demise and are a reputational threat to us as a Nation.
3) This petulant elitist expects prisoners with no access to water or tools to be able to clean and service the facilities the Australian government is obliged to provide them. Their safety the major priority.  When even the PNG government don't want them there.
4) Bolt is no better than a Nazi guard at a Jewish concentration camp who had the same opinion of the Jews behind the barbed wire. They are less than human just vermin. Bolt runs the same argument against Indigenous Australians, the homeless the disadvantaged and in general people on welfare. In fact, it what he thinks of people on welfare is  they need policing rather than help.Help for Bolt is the last and never the first measure to be taken.

Andrew Bolt is the very reason we as a nation need a radical shift in our power structure. One that ensures the redistribution of opportunity and fairness a return to prioritizing values of Universal Rights, Social Justice and, Equality as goals to be achieved rather than avoided. Bondi Life Guards don't qualify who it is they have to save from drowning.  Bolt can't be relied on to do it so others must do it for him.
Basically, Bolt is trying to apologize for Peter Dutton's great policing of asylum seekers by arranging the care in Cambodia for $50 mill and PNG at ongoing costs letting them die and saying it has nothing to do with us. That's pretty responsible of us and according to Bolt puts us on the global moral high ground as a nation.

Everyone did see she was in danger. However just as we saw that Yassmin Abdel -Magid was in danger of an abusive Murdoch press with the likes of Andrew Bolt the leading the abuse we chose not to punch back. In that circumstance male, female young or old has no means of defense. The voice and power of an abusive press is simply too great unstoppable and overbearing. Bolt is comparable to a guard at Don Dale comfortable in the circumstance in which whoever he chooses to attack hasn't any weapons to counter with. Jelena Dokic is an example not just her father's abuse but cultural abuse that said we shouldn't interfere. Jelena Yassmin Dylan you were all victims of a 'me' and not a 'we' culture. 

Bill Shorten is the new Tony Abbott

Column Bill Shorten is the Tony Abbott of the Labor Party — and I mean that in a good way. Both men are superb Opposition leaders. All Shorten needs now is to not make Abbott’s big mistake.

Yes in terms of elections they are both drovers dogs. Bolt admits in this sentence that Abbott never won an election Labor lost. The same can be said of Shorten but with a difference. He wasn't as aggressively negative as Abbott no "ditch the bitch" heard here. The only similarity being the party he's in opposition to has killed itself very much so with the help of none other than Tony Abbott.  Remember Bolt said he didn't have a dog in the race well rest assured he's hoping to re-enter is again despite the fact it's lame and with a track record that would make the race look extremely Latin American or African "fixed"

HOW CAN YOU TELL PALASCZCUK IS LYING?

 It doesn't matter the very fact that we are dealing with Adani is evidence enough that everyone is lying. One only needs to look at Adani's track record in India to realize just what an environmental terrorist he his. He's destroyed the agricultural, fishing and the water table in Gujarat surrounding his $5 bill coal-fired power plant which he wants to sell. The sale price is 1 Rupee. Why has Adani invested so heavily into renewable Solar power if he's singing in tune with Bolt who sees it as a wasted expense? Queensland politics is a disaster that guarantees a loss for all of us does Bolt know just how much run off there is a coal mine that winds up fouling pristine water table?

What is being said here it seems that RETs will reduce energy costs. But isn't Bolt telling us they won't? Isn't reduced energy a good thing, therefore, the NEG was a good start for a Liberal.
Unless Bolt stops directing us to Paywalls nobody can figure why he's arguing a drop in the wholesale price of energy is bad?
Anyway, the Indians that bought Whyalla steel mills don't seem to think energy is a problem do es Bolt think Indians are dumb? If he does why is he championing Adani he too doesn't seem to think wholesale energy prices are a problem.
